A man has died doing a Gangnam Style dance at an office Christmas party.

Eamonn Kilbride, 46, was partying the Lancashire brewery in north-west England when he collapsed with chest pains, London's Telegraph newspaper reports.

Mr Kilbride's wife, who was also at the weekend party, tried to revive him but he was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital.

The IT manager died from acute heart failure caused by coronary artery atheroma, which can be exacerbated by vigorous exercise, a local coroner told the Telegraph.

Julie Kilbride told the Telegraph newspaper her husband of 23 years was "always the life of the party and loved dancing".

"We were having a fantastic time at the Christmas party and Eamonn had just finished dancing to Gangnam Style," Mrs Kilbride said. "He was up on stage and entertaining everybody. He said he had a bit of a pain and just collapsed."

South Korean singer Psy's Gangnam Style's has inspired a global dance craze.

Cardiologist Bernard Keavney told the Telegraph that while the risk of death was very small, men should be "measured" when it came to dancing at Christmas parties.

"Let the lady dance around you," Professor Keavney said. "I certainly wouldn't say that people need to avoid Gangnam Style over the holidays."

Is this one of the few time you can say that he died doing what he loved?

The dude probably thought Gangnam Style was stupid as hell but had to do it as a show of company loyalty or team camaraderie.

Nobody loves Gangnam Style. People just pretend to like it because they don't want to be left out.
