The Grammy fiasco probably made Kanye more of a Kendrick fan than he already was. I'd be surprised if they don't have a couple tracks out this year, perhaps one on Kendrick's next album.

You know, I'm on record previously in this thread saying that Kanye/Kendrick collabos would be weird but I think it might work out. Sonically, I think Kendrick could use something a bit more different for his next album. He needs to prove his versatility and something with Kanye's synth heavy stuff now would be cool. It's not even that really, Kanye is a dope exec producer. If Kanye exec producers his next album, I wouldn't be mad. He knows how to hone sounds.
But really, in the best case scenario I want Ye to get Kendrick on a Mercy-esque beat and just let him tear that shit apart. Let him swag out a bit.
Listening to that new CyHi record.. I think Ye could curate something similar for Kendrick depending on what he wants to do thematically. But really, Kendrick doesn't need Ye. He doesn't need big name producers at all really, he has genuine star power.

I agree with this. Kendrick's penchant for making great music is unquestioned IMO, I have no worries about that. But can he make hit records? Dunno. Swimming Pools was a great magic trick IMO; dude tricked white chicks into thinking a song about alcoholism was a drinking anthem. You don't get away with that twice.
Poetic Justice was a hit due to Drake, although I do believe it would have done well without him. And Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe got into the top 40 due to the Hov remix. We probably short change him because he DID have a hit record all by himself in Swimming Pools, but he needs to show-and-prove again.
He'll have a host of hook writers and tracks at his disposal. Still I just don't see Kendrick having a Started From The Bottom type track

Without rambling I'll just say I completely agree. I have a hard time finding any fault in his action/inaction regarding what went down.
This might be the case, I know Hitokage (I think?) and a few other mods stopped being mods for a bit and then when the smoke cleared they became mods again.
