Anyone read the Miller script? What could have been...

In 2007 George Miller signed on to direct a live action Justice League film. Armie Hammer was cast as Batman, D.J. Cotrona as Superman, Common as Green Lantern, Adam Brody as The Flash, Anton Yelchin as The Flash (Wally West), Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman, and Hugh Keays-Byrne as Martian Manhunter. However, the movie never made it into production and it was canceled about a year later due a denied tax rebate and the writers strike.

Armie Hammer talking about it:

Heres the script:

I hope we see some photos of the costumes some day. Article from here: http://batman-news.com/2013/10/08/george-millers-2007-justice-league-mortal-script-leaks/

This seems like Gal is bulking up a bit

She's getting there. Wonder Woman doesn't need huge biceps or anything. She just needs to be toned and fit.

Some casting news
Latino Review

According to sources, the production is currently looking for a black actor in his early 20s who is also physically fit. Here is the kicker though: the part is for a small role in the untitled Batman Vs Superman movie BUT will be recurring in other upcoming DCU films.

Sounds like Cyborg to me. Also, Michael B. Jordan is apparently the only young black actor on the face of the Earth.

Or it could be John Stewart Green Lantern?

I'm all for reimaginings but the last time that happened was New52. 1.5 years of great Action Comics and 2 years of garbage Superman. And garbage Justice League.

Thankfully both Action and Superman are getting good teams. Geoff Johns x Romita Jr. on Superman has the potential for one of the greatest runs yet.

i don't care how skinny gadot is really. it's just she's sooooo bland. in fast and furious she was the least memorable who talked. gina carano's not much better either but at least she got dat body.

Man I don't even like the way Zack Snyder explained that either. I really just wish I could get excited for this movie :(

zack snyder can't explain shit. don't worry about that. i think somebody should holler at ben affleck and also the screenwriter and hear their thoughts.

Here's the full interview
Hero Complex: Have you started filming ‘Superman-Batman’?

Zack Snyder: We’re getting ready to start shooting in a month or so. It’s going great. I’m very excited. It’s very fun to get into this world with different heroes coexisting in the same universe, but a lot of balls in the air as they say. As a fan, it’s an amazing opportunity. You know, Superman and Batman in the movies have never existed in the same frame together. So it’s an interesting historical thing. We were just testing the suits, right? The new Batsuit and the Superman suit. It wasn’t even with the actors, right? It was just to see ‘em. I was standing there, they were standing next to each other. And I was like, “Guys, someone take a picture! This has never happened before.” We slightly dork out. Like, “Are you kidding me?!”

HC: How surprised are you by all the outcry over some of your casting choices? From Gal Gadot to Ben playing Batman? Jesse as Lex Luthor?

ZS: There are two ways to think about it. We know the material. Unfortunately, the fans don’t know the material. So, we’re casting according to what’s happening in the script. And we’re hoping that leads to enough originality, enough perspective on what we’re doing that you get something fresh and exciting. I understand the canon. I’m not crazy. I know what these characters need from a mythological standpoint. I think Jesse is going to be an amazing Lex. Let’s not forget he was nominated for an Academy Award. It’s not like I just grabbed my friend to play the guy! This guy’s the real deal. By the way, in looking at all the talk-back, you can get all different perspectives in there too. Some people are hating to hate. Some people — someone did some fan art. And you look underneath and someone wrote, “I guess I can see it.” Honestly, are you kidding me? Just stop it! It’s reassuring and frustrating at the same time.

HC: It seems like you’re not insulating yourself from fan dialogue about the project. You’re out there listening to what people have to say. But ultimately, you are trying to serve the material. So what you’re saying is, fans should take heart in that.

ZS: Not just that. [The movie] literally takes the “Man of Steel” and “Batman” universes and explodes them. You’re not as tied to the mythology. In “Man of Steel,” we had to create an origin story, a mythology, and there’s a lot of energy into that, which we love doing. Don’t get me wrong. But when you think about how fun it is too — now that you’ve got these characters — to now let ‘em loose. That’s fun!

I like this approach he's alluding to. The origin stuff has been dealt with, now they're just gonna cut loose with the story and these characters. I expect lots of implied history for Batman, and Wonder Woman to be more of a mystery for this one.

There's a short ceiling to her role in F&F. Eye-candy with an edge, and she's filled it.

There really isn't much to judge her on. Wonder Woman is her first major role, and she appears to be taking it pretty seriously.

It's not like Fast and Furious has memorable characters.
Everyone plays a stereotype, the brains, the brawns, the eye candy etc.

I have a feeling "Batman Vs. Superman" will soon be revealed as "Justice League." I'm not sure why they'd be hiding it, but maybe they think the title having two of the biggest superheroes ever will get more attention for now.

Think about. We know Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman are in it. But there are rumors that Green Lantern will be in it as well (played by The Rock).

Regardless, I think the hate this film has been getting is ridiculous, especially Ben Affleck as Batman. Ben Affleck is about as perfect as a choice you can have for Bruce Wayne/Batman. He's a fantastic actor, writer, and director who is a huge fan of the source material; plus, he looks just like Bruce Wayne. He's perfect.

And then we have people already criticizing Gal's biceps when that photo was taken, what, 3 weeks after she was cast? It takes months to build muscle.

They are supposedly filming back to back BvS and JL-

It runs the risk of not being as fun though.

"Youah'll never send ME to the coolah!"

It's only fun if you find cringing fun. I'd watch the 60's Batman movie for fun before Batman and Robin. Batman and Robin almost made me hate Arnold. It took me like 10 years to get over that performance.

I saw Batman & Robin in theaters when I was 7 years old. I was the biggest Batfan ever. That movie killed my love for Batman. I mean, I still watched the animated series, but I never felt the same way about Batman until Batman: The Intimidation Game (which eventually became Batman Begins) was announced.

In retrospect, Batman & Robin is actually pretty entertaining now that we know Batman went back on track afterwards. It's stupid, but fun. Cringeworthy, but very quotable--the same can be said for the Nolan films.

On an unrelated note, it would be nice if Bruce Timm got to work on a live-action Batman film. I feel like he gets the character/universe better than anyone else.

Eh, Arnold is the absolute only thing I kinda like about B&R.
nobody else seemed to care at all that they are in one of the worst movies of all time but Arnold at least went full retard.

Batman / Superman - Justice League rising or something like that is my bet.

I wonder if the Batmobile will be similar to the one in the new Arkham game.

I remember reading a rumor somewhere that it looks similar to the Burton-mobile. Then again there was a rumor before that which claimed it was inspired by one of the Bat-mobiles from the comics in the 70s, so think at this point it's anybody's guess what it looks like.

I'm wondering if we'll get a new Bat Plane too, since that's usually Batman preferred method of transport when hanging with Supes and the League.

I don't think we can trust any rumor no matter how solid it might seem. None of the rumors were anywhere close to the casting choices that have been made so far.
