the only time i ever felt eyes on me with my vita in public was 1 week before launch when i was playing wipeout 2048 (zones mode) on a plane. i don't know if it was because people hadn't seen it or if the game was just so obnoxiously colourful.

2 or 3 months ago somebody was fairly impressed when he saw me playing U:GA (or was it Wipeout) while I was on train.

Just did it. The beta app takes up 759 MB, and I downloaded my save. Obviously, you can do nothing beyond staring at the title screen. I'll just keep it there to see what happens on the 25th. I expect nothing :)

Thanks let's see if we're lucky :)

I played PDf during my entire 2-hour flight. I think that girl might become a future Miku fan.
Her mom was judging me so hard. D:

The Vita screen is so bright even at the lowest setting that people can't help but watch. I wish the brightness could be dimmed a bit more.

Played the Diva F demo and am THIS close to pressing Buy on the Store. May wait until my next paycheck in case this next week is crazy with new releases. I like J-Pop and this game is amazing!
Do it.

It's near-impossible to play the Vita at night. Keeps my room way too illuminated, even with the brightness on the lowest setting.

I remember I was seeing Star Trek last year in theaters and someone a few rows ahead of me had a Vita and was playing Soul Sacrifice. Think that might have been the only time I've seen someone playing a Vita in the wild.

Started Chains of Olympus. Played for the first 20-25 minutes. Failed the first sex mini game a couple times because of the control sticks but I finally got it down. Game is pretty fun so far. Been a while since I played a God of War game though. Hoping the GoW collection coming to Vita in May plays as well as this. I've actually never played GoW 2.

Gah! Hate the mobile PlayStation store, too easy to sign in and buy. I miss when it was only on the devices. Just bought Project Diva and the DLC. I love Hitsune and its music (she sounds so real). I don't usually love rhythm games, but j-pop and Hitsune I could listen to for hours!

Also picked up Rayman Legends on Amazom $21 for the card.

Just picked up a PSP GO. First Sony system since PS2. How do I go about playing games on this thing? Obviously need to sign up for PSN, but anything else cool to do with it?

Take it Back. If you want to get a PSP get a 2000 or 3000. Easier to get uh, homebrew on 2000, but with PSP go you can never play the Kingdom Hearts psp game since it was never released on anything but UMD.

Ended up grabbing Master Reboot. Probably won't start it until next week; for now I'm addicted to Dragon's Dogma.

God, Dragon's Dogma is an incredible game. I'm still desperately holding out for a sequel or at the very least some kind of "definitive" edition. How far have you gotten?

Either your made a mistake and meant to say "Crisis Core" or you just gave him a very good reason to keep the PSP GO.

Hahaha.

I once had an old lady sat next to me on the train while I did a fatality in Mortal Kombat.

I think I had the worst public experience of playing an Vita.

It was the typical morning rush hour train and its jampacked with people as usual. I was lucky to have a seat in the train but I was sandwiched between two ladies (a schoolgirl and an office worker). I kind of know the persons who ride this train with me but I am not in speaking terms with them. Now since its a 40 to one hour commute, I decided to play one Vita game to keep me awake.
My mistake was I forgot to bring my game cards that day, and the game in the slot was Valhalla Knights 3 loaned from a friend. I continued anyway since I remembered that my character was dressed like a normal RPG character. Now I entered the sort of town to buy equipment (sure, equipment) when "that" mini-game appears. I was deeply engrossed in playing this that I did not noticed the two ladies near me and the people in front of me are already "watching" me play. When I finished the mini-game, I felt stares (of disgust from the women, of approval from the men) from every direction. Now I take the bus and also maintains a digital collection of games.

Not very far. I'm only past the first Hydra fight. Gonna probably spend most of tomorrow playing.

Funny story, I went into the rift to get a pawn, but the one I picked was level 60. I didn't expect him to be so OP lol. I barely had to do anything during the Hydra fight.

Means you picked the pawn of someone on your PSN friendslist. Can hire those for free no matter how high leveled they are.

I love me some Dragon's Dogma. Very awesome game indeed. Dark Arisen was a nice addition, as well. They really need a sequel!

Feel free to add me if you want to use a free pawn (she's max and geared pretty decently - healer). PSN: phierce_

Huh, didn't know that. I was wondering why there was a currency for pawns. I just thought the first one was free :p.

Just posting here if you guys aren't aware but there's a chance you may get FFX/X-2 HD on March 11 if you've pre ordered a PS3 LE on Gamestop. There's a thread about it but I can't link it on the phone.

Man, I'm so close to pulling the trigger on a Vita Slim Lime Green. I am a huge fan of the OLED, but the better ergonomics and the colour scheme (Always wanted a White Vita but they don't sell them here in Australia and they go for much, much more than the slim online) is swaying me.

What to do?

Oh man you're still super early in the game. It gets So good.

It's been ages since I last played so I don't recall what class my pawn is but if you want some higher level assistance you can add me as well, my PSN name is Fireclad.

Oh and a bonus tip, definitely wait till closer to the end of the game before you try and tackle the expansion pack content. It's tough as nails.

Also, yeah, I figured I should wait a while to do the Dark Arisen stuff :p.

I was just kidding. Now before we argue about that "running" module, let's agree to disagree with each other.

I really am enjoying NFS right now. Anyone who has doubts over buying this game should buy this. Although I'm a bit biased since it feeeels just like Burnout Paradise which is one of my GOTY arcade racers.

I feel the same! I plan on giving my OLED to my older bro. But since they announced the slim for the US I figured I should just wait for that (importing dem slims is costly). I'm waiting for the slim to come out in the US but if I ever spot a lower than usual price on a lime green slim I'll probably pull the trigger

The last racing game I ever played was Cruisin' USA.

Found a Lime Green slim for $250AU including EMS postage to Australia which is the best price I've seen yet. I can probably sell my OLED for at least $150AU since it's pretty much like-new (Only a couple of months old), so that's only like $100AU total... so tempting.

Don't do it. The new Vita is garbage compared to the OG. OLED 4 life!!

I prefer everything about it besides the screen. Build, style and hardware colours are all better on the 2000 imo... The screen is indeed holding me back but I've heard it's not that bad after getting used to it.
It really isn't. Would take another 2000 model over the OLED any day.

please give impressions if you pull the trigger.
i bought a 3rd party usb cable from monoprice since i was ordering some other stuff and for some reason it would charge but not sync, and while i was trying to figure it out i thought i wouldn't be in this situation with the vita 2000.

So yesterday/today I bought my brother a Vita for his birthday brand new from bbuy & the thing keeps spazing out.

What I mean is that it would say "battery low" then all the sudden it would jump back to half battery life, then it would keep repeating that. We figured the battery wasn't calibrated so we decided to let it die & recharge it but it kept doing the same thing.

Any ideas on whats habbenings with it? Or is it a dud

Sounds like that PlayStation®Vita doesn't have much Vita left in it

I'll post my impressions of the 2000 model's screen tomorrow. Today I was just downloading a lot of demos to play around with on my Japanese account.

My impressions of the actual unit though are very positive. I didn't expect such a big improvement over the original.
Thinner, lighter, and the buttons and triggers have a muuuuch better feel to them. Love it.

This happens to my Vita while I'm playing online.
