Someone webm this!

edit: Man, am I ever going to have my no-jaggie future? That's my #1 hated graphic flaw.

Looks great, big improvement in my eyes at least. A bit of shimmering though, don't know if that's the video itself.

This essentially doesn't have any jaggies. There is some shimmering on edges but that is sub-pixel aliasing, and it is simply very hard to get rid of that without a very costly AA technique.

Has somebody posted a direct screenshot from the PS3 scene btw? All I've seen were YouTube caps.

Thanks for the link.

I haven't played TLoU yet, is this trailer the same as the previous one with a potential spoilrer?

Yeah, it's the same and definitely spoils a fantastic moment of the game imo

Yeah that's what I'm referring to. :( I'm not complaining, it's ever present in all of gaming. I hope and pray for the day it goes away.

At least we have decent post-processing AA solutions these days. For years it was MSAA or bust and that is a real performance hog in comparison.

Wait is this the trailer where over half of it is just on black screen words rolling by describing how awesome gaming journalists thought this game was? I can't say I understand the logic behind releasing a teaser trailer of an old game and then include only little (very unimpressive) footage.

Looking forward to this! My PS3 died before this came out, and I held off on getting another because of law school.

Thanks, Naughty Dog/Sony!

The weird depth of field when the camera pulls out makes the character models look kinda blurry.

Don't really like the effect.

Maybe you can help me out here, GAF. Maybe not.

Long story short, I don't like this trailer. I'm probably alone, but I also realize that this is undoubtedly an unpopular opinion here, so we tend to stay quiet, those of us who think this way.

That's not to say I hate it, or that I think it's a bad trailer. Far from it. It's drop-dead gorgeous, of course (I'm a bit of a graphics whore, so that doesn't hurt). The trailer so far (I think I'm about a third of the way through) is interesting with all the awards, if somewhat predictable at this stage.

But I just can't find myself getting engaged by the footage, and I can't quite put my finger on why. Blacks are solid, course, as expected from ND. It's not the typeface, as I can read the hell out of forums like NeoGAF.

Whatever it was, I just found myself unable to get "into" the trailer like I usually can with most trailers. I felt like I was struggling to just let it run, and I kept wondering where this amazing trailer was that everyone kept talking about.

Does it get better? Does it change up later, or is it going to be more of this for another 3 minutes? Because I'm not sure I can slog my way through it if that's the case. People talk about how great the ending is, and I've done a good job of not spoiling it for myself, so I could still experience that if I can just get to it.

Help me, GAF! Help me understand why everyone is pissing themselves over this trailer now being available in 1080p/60. Help me give a shit enough to maybe watch it a second time. Because as it is right now, I couldn't care less about this HQ teaser trailer, and I may not even finish the YouTube edition.

^^^those "Why TLoU is Overhyped" threads are pretty much guaranteed every week, and there will be even more once the remaster hits.

Thanks guys, I'll give it a miss then.

Just hold out a little longer. You're going to play the best way to play this game. The in-game section looks beautiful in 1080p

Definitely looks fantastic. But I was going to buy this anyway, just to be able to natively play it on my PS4.

i probably missed it but.. Why was everyone using the end of the shot, with character blurred, to compare the game with a shot of the PS3 version, where the characters were focused, when you can actually compare the models with the beginning of the shot ?

I mean this.

How does it compare to the PS3 model in the same scene ?
