Hey look! Jetpack assisted jumps!

I wonder if you have the ability to quickly mantle ledges in the environment and run along the walls?

Maybe they can even give you a multiplayer upgrade on a timer that puts you in an armored suit of some sort (they even showed one in the trailer)?

That sounds really innovative!

Yup. I'm thinking something like that will make it to the multiplayer.

I don't see a radical change like everyone being able to mantle on to walls, but I can see a killstreak suit of that sort.

Actually looks interesting. COD already jumped a pool of sharks with Ghosts space mission IMO. Might as well go with Elysium suits. Will still wait for gameplay before considering.

I haven't been following this, but the trailer looks like regular CoD. The graphics look good and you can't go wrong with Spacey, but can anyone fill me in on the advances they've made on the gameplay front?

I was done with Call of Duty. They lost what was once great about their game.

But now,
This is what you call a Trailer! Great Stuff.

And, Kevin Spacey too!!!! What a fucking Legend he his, and looks to get things off crackin!

Call of Duty is now on my watch list of games.

How can one resist taking Riley for a walk?

Personally, I thought the campaign was the best of the game, but CoD MP as been on a downward trajectory for a while now.

Mostly because I sold my 720p plasma tv and all ps3 games on my monitor look really bad. I'm basically waiting to get a PS4 so I can start it lol.

Having watched the trailer on my Laptop now, it still looks very much stuck in a cross-gen development. It looked pretty sweet on my phone, but not so much at the actual resolution it will be played it, some of textures on main vehicles and general environment looked a good bit iffy. They might be putting 3 years into each CoD now, but I wish they would actually put some real time, and some of those billions, into either a new engine or radically upgrading the current one.

None of which was new to any game released in the last few years.

First CoD since MW1 that has made me think about sticking around to see how it pans out. Has potential.

Fairly new to big budget Call of Duty style military arena shooters.

Brink, Tribes, Dystopia, etc... a bunch of games have had some/all of these mechanics in the past but not in this format.

Yup that's what makes it costly, same old " time is money" etc ;)

And doing it right costs time.. much more time than 3 years. And when your assets become higher resolution you need more time..

lol. The only thing is this game would've started development before we ever knew Titanfall was a thing. Sometimes creatives just happen to use the same ideas without copying.

hmmm i'm intrigued. but it looks like it is the same exact engine with better textures... so I don't know. I guess we will have to wait and see what they have planned for multiplayer.

Ah ok, well when you get around to it the SP at least I thought was half decent for a CoD game. The MP was the worst CoD MP I've played, I sold it not long after I finished the campaign, actually now that I think about it I haven't really enjoyed a CoD MP since BLOPS 1.

Well it was worth buying Spacey for the buzz, not for the 2009's motion capture. Activision needs to learn a few tricks from Quantic Dream or Naughty Dog.

Not interested by a cross-gen game which looks like and will have the same plot as Black Ops II though

I'm confused by this story trailer. Do people still give a shit about single-player in Call of Duty games?

Respawn was formed in 2010. We knew that V&Z wanted to prevent a futuristic COD game from being made. I'm sure all their former coworkers at IW had no idea what type of game they wanted to make or what features they were thinking of utilizing. There probably were not any details on any of the seized computers/exchange servers when Activision raided their offices. You're probably right.

I'm wondering about this too, they seem to spend a lot of effort for their single player. I'd be happy to see some statistics.

Great trailer. I loved the music. I hope it'll be better than Ghost, wasn't even able to finish that one. Graphics are pretty good if it's 60fps. Sweet looking motion blur.

I'm digging the Kevin Spacey character and I'm a little intrigued about what they're going to do with the gameplay. But then again I'm also thinking, didn't Crysis and the inclusion of the "nano suit" kinda already do this?

Not futuristic enough for me. Needs to get to a point where current day weapons are completely defunct, an archeic relic from the past, and instead they use plasma and laser weapons. this is all a bit too "realistic future technology" for my liking, still grounded in present day tech. which probably means it's going to play exactly like COD, but with a futuristic cloating of paint. basically a style change rather then a substance one.

i don't even think it LOOKS very good either tbh.

i think they're trying to keep it realistic

and realistically, we'll probably never use lasers or plasma guns

You mean COD is not Halo ? Thanks

Fool me once, twice, several times, shame on me etc etc.. but goddammit Activision. You've got me again.

Wii U for pointer controls if it exists, otherwise PC.

Looks alright.

Kevin Spacey, Exoskeletons, PMCs being the villains not those no-good Russians, Nigeria...

For a next gen game though I'd have thought they could do a better job on the mocap, the textures on Kevin Spacey's facey weren't great.

there is also a scene in the trailer that takes place in Lagos, Nigeria

yea there are few scenes in that trailer that takes place in nigeria, the man they were interrogating is nigerian or looks it, and with what kevin spacey was saying sounded like it is about nigeria.

I wonder if the SSS or DIA or NIA are involved

Majority of them are trash.
But i am a Singler Player person, and it has intrigued me with Kevin Spaceys acting in that trailer. So Call of Duty is back on my watch list. Sadly though after the once playthrough (depending of), it'll be trading in.

oh
and could give a rats about Cod multi, that's more lifeless than the Single Player experience. LOL... Once upon a time though, when it was good. COD2/3

Trailer looks good. I just bet it does not look like that in game on the final product. Can't believe they still holding on to last gen. Hope I am wrong though and it turns out amazing.

Same thing they always do: All these "unique" set-pieces moments are usually scripted and have limited player control

And now it's low-level corporate espionage. Mkay then.

I hope they don't aim for visual parity. This looked good at times and so so in others. I can only assume that the PS4 version will look quite nicer than that.

i actually find it much more interesting when games stay fairly grounded in believable technology...

i tend to find it lessens the impact of the new "future warfare" sub title when the guns and gameplay all feel like the "modern warfare" titles. but then i like futuristic to be more sci-fi, not just 20 years from now. i want to see the fictional ideas people have of a time we won't live to see. if it's an AK47 in everything but name...i see no point.
