seems like 4000 is the default height size for most photo editors

:/

which means like the new updated picture with the HADES layer we have to adjust the image size with every new hype vehicle iteration

the only problem is that when you do adjust the image size the overall image quality suffers like what has happened now
no PNG save could save it

very unfortunate

... Guess we could just put people on the titan and extra background vehicles

We shouldn't have to adjust too much in adding new layers. When I added Hades and the Sky, I just opened a new image in Photoshop with the new height dimension and pasted in the old one. And the quality didn't change.

We need to stay away from compression hell at all costs lol

The only way I see the PS3 having any real presence at this E3 is if Sony announces some of those localizations that people have been asking for (like Yakuza). The only other way is if Atlus decides to want to debut a new Persona 5 trailer. And that one is probably even less likely that the Yakuza localizations.

indeed it is going to get more and more tricky later on

I'd be in the dick
Cambridge and Bend are two studios that are somewhat in an identity crisis.

This might sound like a sad thing to both studios, but personally, I was hoping that Cambridge and Bend could 'inherit' Killzone and Uncharted from Guerilla/ND and use that as a platform to expand their studio on the back of established franchises that will at least be profitable on the back of the brand.

And then use that increased resources to pave the way and build their own studio brand, which right now, is neither here nor there due to years of being less relevant in the WWS family.

I'm hoping Cambridge gains control of Killzone. They're very talented on the tech side and Mercenary was what I wanted KZ3 to be. We know GG is moving on with a new IP now and I think giving Cambridge an opportunity to make a PS4 KZ would be great.

I wouldn't want to see Bend get Uncharted on PS4 before ND does though. Let ND make a game that sets the example for the series to continue on PS4 before someone else takes it. I also thought Golden Abyss sucked. I'd like to see Bend build something of their own before taking on another project, just to prove that they have the chops for it.

Sony is closing down the gates after the Beast leak

even Shahid is going on a Twitter break

I hope NoManSky shows up

Looks like we will have to power this thread on hype alone. Perhaps Sony will have a PS3 info bonanza before E3. That should get this thread going for a few pages. A few vita announcements in advance would be nice as well.

I am guessing like every year, Sony will make a hype trailer for the conference a few weeks before E3
Yep!

Maybe crush the blacks a bit so it 'pops' more too.

:p

;)

I really hope Sony doesn't rest after they slammed MS last year because I think Xbox is definitely ready to come back at them. I also think Xbox will be trying to bring a lot of value to their box to make up for the price disparity with a price drop too so I hope Sony brings more value to PS+ (we should be getting some of non-indie PS4 games soon right?), announces a ton of exclusives, then a really cool showoff of what they have with Playstation Now. I hope they don't focus on Morpheus because I feel like that would be like MS focusing on Kinect stuff.

Anyway, I think Sony is ready to drop some bombs and hopefully we will get some legitimate suprises.

That really did a lot to harm their conference. By the end it was just outright infuriating; the same cycle over and over again.

Me - "Oooh a trailer for a new game. Let's watch."

Camerman - "Hmmmmmmm... no."

*Films the audience instead."

And don't forget the erratic zooming.

I agree. I hope Sony doesn't switch back to arrogant Sony and let us down... Drop the bombs one by one and do the damage!

The last Guardian
Shenmue 3
Crash bandicoot

Yeah, I definitely think Microsoft will be bringing some big guns. But I don't think Sony will just get complacent. They have every WWS is making something for PS4, so they should have a good show.

And if we hear Morpheus at all, it will probably just be a small trailer about the possibilities and maybe a few devs commenting on it. It's still at least 2 years away.

Not this word again ._.

Silly quotes doesn't outweigh the amount of value that was packed in to the 2006 hardware. Maybe it's just me, but I would use "overly ambitious" rather than arrogant.

Someone or a company who's arrogant wouldn't lose $200 on every console to have the cheapest Blu-ray player on the market, built in wi-fi when the competitor charged $100 bucks for an add-on, backwards compatible with PS1/PS2, lossless sound, and allowing people to upgrade the HDD.

They only really slammed MS last year by spelling out the difference in DRM policies at the time and dat $100 price difference reveal. The rest of the conference wasn't mindblowing at all. So unlike last year, this time the megatons will need to be game related. Will Sony deliver? I dunno, but it will be tougher to win than last year...

People tend to forget that Sony announced games at their reveal and after E3. MS annouced 2 games at their reveal and I believe there was only 1-2 game announced after E3 that year.

Game wise, everything should be great at the worst. We still haven't seen gameplay footage of many of the games announced last year and there's a lot of studios that haven't announced their new game yet. Also, there were like 4 new trademarks in the last month, Project Beast got leaked, and TLG is alive.

They definitely hammered MS in terms of audience reaction and delivery though. I mean the news itself wasn't that surprising or huge but the way it sort of piled on and reasurred the gaming audience really destroyed what Microsoft had. I mean last year MS brought a ton of games but stil got destroyed in terms of general reactions after the show. They had an attitude problem and it showed. It was a deeper problem than games, content, or features could solve. We will see if they took care of it with these shakeups.

I think this time if Sony brings the games with the sort of "Gamers first" message/attitude they had last year they will win again.

Wouldn't that be the producers fault though? They was a direct feed of the screen as far as I recall, so cutting away to camera, seems to be on the producer here.

Not that the cameraman wasn't terrible as well. Overall one of the worst produced Sony conferences in recent memory.

My most anticipated games in gaming right now (not in any order because I want them all):

1. Persona 5
2. The Last Guardian
3. Project Beast
4. FFXV
5. GT7 (lololol)
6. Ratchet and Clank PS4

Highly anticipated:

Stars Wars Battlefront
Destiny
Witcher
Uncharted 4
Evil Within
Fatal Frame
Zelda

Want/need more info:

Tales of Zestiria
Phantasy Star Nova
FExSMT
Deep Down

So yeah, if Sony shows 3 of those 6 games they've won in my book.

I agree with all your points. Microsoft is going to step up big for E3 and be holding nothing back in terms of game announcements. Sony should be the same way. A barrage of game announcements. More focus on AAAs than indies I feel like they spent a bit too much time hyping indies last time around. Show the value of ps + leave Morpheus out of it and talk about exclusives.
