You know I'm currently doing some research on videogames in international affairs, and one of the things I'm researching is Nintendo's history and their eventual entrance in the videogame industry. I finally got to a part where it talks a bit about the Color TV Game 15. Haha for some reason didn't expect to see it here but it's fun to see it not only in Smash but in this way as well.

That's so cool. For some reason either I don't remember it, or I never had heard of the color tv game 15, or any variations, and I thought I knew a chunk about nintendo history. :( Made me sad, but happy to realize there was much more I didn't know about.

All we need now are hanafuda cards for smash bros (let's leave the love hotels out of this). Smash bros is such a good way for nintendo to teach people about existing franchises and the history of nintendo.

You know, something else to consider about those terrible fake leak shots.

Wouldn't the 3DS version be more likely to be finalized at this point? Who is even going to get their hands on a WiiU version. And there is no way that's a 3DS screen.

Edit: Nevermind, didn't realize these were supposed to be from the Best Buy demo stations.

The argument is that it would be a shot from the Best Buy Wii U demo station version.

...which still wouldn't explain why it's impossible for someone to take a straight-on, full shot of the screen instead of 3 individual slanted pictures showing different things.

Demo will probably be Wii U version though, so that actually makes sense.

They're super fake though.

I really just want E3 newcomers to be unexpected :/ Surprise me sakurai. Every reveal so far, except little mac, was surprising to me. Keep it up!

I still want my brawl reveal trailer redone for smash 4, revealing Metaknight, Wario, and Snake :)

They should make the menus Hanafuda inspired or something, would be pretty fun. Or just a hanafuda trophy.

Apparently there was a version called Color TV Game 6 that came before the 15, but I think these only stayed in Japan. They were basically just pong clones for the overseas market. Since there were already so many in the US (Collecovision, Magnavox, Atari, etc) I doubt they even considered releasing it overseas. Besides I believe that the NES is the first console, not counting anything arcade related here, that Nintendo released in the US. The Color TV Game 15 is kind of a console right? Even though it technically only plays one game.

Just a random thought for the Digital Event. For character announcements, I don't want one huge trailer announcing everyone left. I want a bunch of mini-trailers throughout that get introduced by a "challenger approaching" screen and then a short trailer featuring the character.

I think it'd be better to be a mix of the two.

A mini-trailer or two featuring veterans (preferably of the unexpected or heavily retooled variety) and then a big trailer showing off everything else.

The foreplay to our Smashgasm, if you will.

There are no such things as tournament demo at Best Buy since Tournament is only at E3. From what I remembered, Best Buy don't get their things until few days to a week before E3. Why would they have it like 3 weeks early? Obviously, it's fake.

Man even if it is fake, I think it looks good. Kind wish the real one looked like that.

Anyway, E3 is bittersweet for me this year. It has all these things I'm looking forward to, but it's also on the same day as when I need to hand in part of my paper, which I'm nowhere near finished and have strong doubts as to whether I'll be able to finish it. Oh god D: :D

I guess the reasoning would be that they're not playable in the demo? Which would be reasonable enough except for how the demo rosters have never shown locked characters.

If that leak is real (It's not. You're crazy if you think it even might be), then it's the most god-awful design ever implemented in a character select screen.

LET'S JUST THROW QUESTION MARKS EVERYWHERE IN BETWEEN ALL THE AVAILABLE CHARACTERS.

This is their flagship title for Fall and Winter on two different consoles.

They would have to be borderline brain-dead not to try and drum up excitement in any way they can.

Yeah, Early Demo always never have Kirby as playable. I wonder if it's because they want to hid Kirby's hats. They never put Kirby in Melee and Brawl's Early Demo.

The first two pics were decent enough but they definitely overstepped their limit on the "Ridley" stuff. Should have just left it at the first two.

I'm going trough something similar, have a hard ass exam on tuesday if I do bad the next couple weeks are gunna be stressful trying to find a way to pass the class :(

Even then veterans are exciting. I have the greatest feeling that Ganondirf is finally his own character, plus it's obvious that we're getting a newcomer, possibly even two! Lucky for 3!
