Watch Playstation's E3 conference in movie theaters

Lol Jesus our theater is like 7 minutes away. I wouldn't drive to anything further than 10 minutes away for something like this. So yeah 45 minutes away would be a deal breaker, fuck that round trip.

It's definitely for everyone, but I think there will be separate prizes as well for trivia/raffles?

If it's small, stuff could fit under movie theater seats, but I bet they'll just hand em out at the end and call it.

But yeah, I doubt they'd hype it if it was standard swag, but it's not expensive stuff I bet. Meet in the middle!

I'm guessing a T-shirt, maybe PSN credit, or even some sort of gift card for PS Now.

Has anyone gotten a response from Support about the duplicate names in our emails?

If you chose two tickets the second form (guest info) would be for the other person going with you, since I filled it in early I just made an other form and sent them an email with the first confirmation number saying that I made a mistake a created a new form all together to make sur everything was done properly, I have no gotten a response yet, but I guess that the email is getting swarmed.

Last time I went to a PSBlog event in Toronto, we received gloves, a hat, a t-shirt, and vouchers for 1 month of PS+. Some games were also given away like Gran Turismo 5 and Uncharted 3, but not everyone got one.

some press badges I made if anyone wants to rep gaf

Holy shit, I didn't give this any attention cause I assumed there won't be any participating theaters near, when in fact there's one less than 10 minutes away... Now they're all sold out. #yousnooze

Neither have I, it's gonna be interesting getting back home as I'm all the way on the other side of DC and the last train is likely to leave around 11:30 welp.

I'm on the same kind of situation. I have to get from Friendship Heights to Rhode Island Avenue and then take a bus that takes me to Hyattsville, PG Plaza Area...

I just don't think I'll make it in time so I'm either gonna stay at a friends house who lives near FH area or get a ride back home.

I was also thinking of leaving early, but meh... it should be fun.

Last train towards Glenmont should be 11:50 P.M which I think is plenty of time. Atleast, thats what I'm banking on as I have to go back to Takoma Park.

Edit: And hello, fellow DC Gaffers.

Hi fellow DC Gaffer!

Hello there!

I actually live in Maryland, but close to DC.

It has always been a pet peeve of mine to meet people who would say that they lived in DC when they actually lived somewhere in MD or VA close to DC (or just happen to work in DC but live outside).

Anyways its nice to see gaffers from the Washington Metropolitan Area (to be more politically correct)... haha.

That works perfectly then!! Thanks for that info!

Indianapolis is sold out. Glad I signed up and I'm not gonna rely on Columbus waiting list.

It's official... I'm going to drive 3 hours for this. Only heightens my hype but also higher the risk to be disappointed. I did drive 6 hours for a movie before. No IndyGAF here?!

Oh yeah... thinking of sitting near the aisle just in case I have to run up and down the stairs because of the hype they might deliver.

It seems we are on the same sinking ship friend, West Hyattsville is where I need to get to before metro shuts down.

The same reason some people would love to see their favourite band live in concert rather than just listening to their albums.

Why would anyone drive to watch a football game?

Also, anything is better than watching it on ustream. Comfort be damned. :p

That's different than going to a sports game, you're not going to the actual conference to see it, you're going to watch it on a screen.

Lots of sports fans go to watch their teams play on big screens too from time to time, especially if the game is important. For example In the NBA playoffs this year Toronto Raptor's fans were watching the games that took place in Brooklyn on big screens. It's still fun

Why would I drive to a movie theater to watch a conference when I can watch it in the comfort of my house ?
To get the 2nd best thing to actually being at E3.
You are in a room with 50-250+ like-minded people who mostly all cared enough to go out of their way to be there as well.

Imagine being at something like that during the Twilight Princess E3 reveal or Kingdom Hearts 3 last year.

to experience either of those would have been truly something.

In the registration page for this event, it says, "Attendes will go home with a commemorative PlayStation collectible and a surprise gift!"

I'm guessing that the commemorative collectible will be a limited edition poster, and the "surprise gift" will be a 1 year PSN subscription. :)
