Far Cry 4 Gameplay E3 2014

I'm going to miss being terrified of shark attacks.

I'm looking forward to this but I wouldn't have minded another tropical setting.

EDIT: Aw hell naw, did they get rid of the bow? I felt like a badass with that thing in Far Cry 3.

They have a crossbow since verticality is one of the game mechanics. A simple bow won't work as they explained in the video.

Also don't worry, snow leopards won't make your life easy either.

I guess I shouldn't be too surprised that Far Cry 4 more closely resembles 3 than 2, but it's kind of disappointing to see the developers confuse a merely charismatic and mad villain for a complex one, and shape the new game's antagonist to be much more like Vaas than the Jackal.

I feel the same.

Holy moly, they got the language and dialect right. It feels awesome knowing the native language they're speaking :p

lmao yeah. i was smiling at how i finally understood a foreign language in a videogame.

I was surprised they were speaking it properly. I understood most of it.

Disappointing main character, cool villain.

One of the Military guys even says "chootiya" :lol

"Baar me ja"

lol

Hope there are more enemy conversations among themselves :)

Vaas isone of the most popular villains in recent times. So it's quite obvious that they would move in the same direction.

It really looks great, graphically.

Far Cry 3 was unplayable for me on consoles, unfortunately. It's never happened to me before but I got a splitting headache the first and only time I played, and never played it again. I wasn't sure if it was the perspective, the heavy footfall, the screen tearing, or what.

Kodiak

Not an asshole.
That was absolutely terrible, cringe worthy writing. These "edgy" villains in Far Cry / Dead Island / etc. etc. are just the worst.

Ot, day 1 for this hopefully they add more unique things to make it stand out from other ubi games, but even if not ill get it for the guns and graphics.

Can't wait to kick a goat off a cliff. Looks INCREDIBLE and damn are those elephants deadly, ramming and exploding jeeps!

Wtf, that gameplay looks way more interesting than Far Cry 3 ever did just with some seemingly minor additions to the mechanics. I'm buying that shit day one.

I love being white and killing all the non-whites. If gaming has taught me something it's that white people are the greatest heroes and killers in the world.

The fortress needed liberating? Everything seemed pretty peaceful. Even had some farmers just chilling in the fields with doors open and animals grazing. White dudes come in and start blowing shit up. Who's the bad guy?
you should check your facts first next time

They said the crossbow was more versatile than a normal bow - but they didnt say explicitly say the normal bow wasnt in the game. I am hoping it is, I loved the bow mechanic in Farcry 3 but can live with the crossbow if it isnt.

So it does bring back elements from Far Cry 3 like outposts, ugh. :(
Kinda gives the feeling of FC3 continuation to it, but I don't want to say more because the settings are different so who knows what to expect in better terms.

I was already extremely interested, but they sold me once I saw the MG42 ingame since it's one of the coolest weapons of all time with a very distinct sound. I hope we get to see some more surplus weapons for the region.

That's as white as it gets

I love when people come across as more ignorant than the ignorance they are trying to expose.

anyway, any guesses on how that "no game required" multiplayer thing will work? Glorified timed demo? PS Now streaming?
