I fcking hate this track. It seems the only way to be fast is using the curbs, but using the curbs sometimes makes you fly.
I can not drive 2 clean laps in 20. When I did I managed a reasonable 2.05 high, but I'm sure I'm gonna wreck sooner or later.
Should be a looooong race tomorrow. I'm sure I'll screw it up.

My ninja. I'm just coming down. I practiced today for the first time all week because I am just convinced Long Beach is my worst track. Ended up doing a pretty respectable time, but I'm not gonna jinx myself nor my partner.
Hoping for the best and the extra point always helps!!
Make the switch. It'll cost you a solid week of learning curve.....but the moment you start doing the same lap times WITH manual and clutch... .You're good from there. The rest is just learning how to coast I do believe.

Cthulhu, my apologies for the bump into the last turn. I don't think it affected either of us, but I had just a moment of lag and your car jumped backwards. Sorry!

No worries, I felt bad that I was in the way. Yesterdays race was a lag trip in a half for me but I am glad I stuck it through.
Sorry to anyone that I happened to accidentally ran into, I was trying to stay out of the way after about halfway through the race.

So thrustmaster announced that their shifter will come out at the end of August. But they said that the t3pa pedal set would be out by the end of May, but that wasnt for America. Then last month said its available through a link to amazon which said it would be 2-4 weeks to be in stock but has for the past week just said out of stock.
So with this in mind and the t300 wheel for ps4 coming out which uses the same base practically and the same accessories, god knows when I will get either of these damn things.

I have honestly been looking at that MadCatz wheel. Seems like it might be actually fairly decent for the price. Or am I crazy?
Word man. Such a terrible course. I have been making muliplayer lobbies full of Expert AI using the Formula Ford so I can race them around the track. It helps me learn to better concentrate and see how the course feels with other cars/traffic.

Its the only one on the market currently
But yes its very good.
The only cons are its not wireless and the brake SUCKS.

Currently, when we upgrade the transmissions to stage 3 'Racing Transmissions', the gearboxes sound and behave pretty much the same as stock transmission (H pattern) with faster shifts being the only benefit.
This would be fine for the first two trans upgrades(street,sport)
But, it would be nice to see any car (or at least most) that incorporates a stage 3 racing transmission upgrade to actually have a sequential racing gearbox installed. This would make the car sound and behave more like a car that was intended for racing.
Just check out your old pals over at Codies with GRID Autosport to see what I mean.
A Chevy Cruze for example has a standard H pattern box from factory. But in Grid, with the cars being modified for racing, the gearbox is a full sequential complete with straight cut gear whine and 'banging' of gears.
This extends to most cars in the game really..
Perhaps if you have time you can pass it along to the Turn 10 car geeks..

Races are always around 30 mins and so it will probably end up being 14-15 laps.

Don't worry, I plan on being super ruthless from this point out. I have been practicing with the AI on what kind of maneuvers are safe for the hitter but not the hittee.
And I have also wondered about your tag. I know it links to a thread but I am curious on the story behind it. Same with P3trans.
