Sounds like iSUBS is pretty much dead...

Dear iSUBS Members,

Apologies for the late updates as the admins and I have been busy with real life events, including me as I have started further studies and juggling with work. After taking the exams, I was able to gather up some time to update everyone.

As you can tell, we have been on a long hiatus to fansub RM - and sadly, it looks like the hiatus will be ongoing given the busy schedules/events, the growing responsibilities the admins are facing lately in their everyday lives. To answer some questions, 1) iSUBS is on a long hiatus - there's no expected time that we'll be back with episodes. If there's enough spare time available to the team, there's a possibility episodes will be subbed but please don't ask for episodes to be released/subbed. 2) The site will remain down until further notice and episodes won't be reuploaded for now from external reasons and factors out of our control (DMCA/Copyrights/server issues etc).

This might mean that iSUBS may soon be back one day to sub again like in the past. I'm definitely hoping we'll be around again soon, but that being said, I'd like to express my gratitude for all members and the subbing/modding team members who have supported iSUBS from day one and throughout the 3-4 years to this day. I'd like to view that iSUBS has created a positive impact on the fansubbing community and enriched each member's experience to fully enjoy RM and FO with friends and family.

Please continue to show your support to the RM cast and crew's future endeavors!

Their subtitles always felt like part of the show rather than a simple text translation, something not captured by other RM subbers. It's funny. I discovered Younha because she did that catching ending song for the end of Bleach anime and I had no idea she was actually Korean. I was on a kpop break at that time and didn't really know what was going on for a bit.

Cut to a few years later and I see this Younha on the music shows and I'm like is this the same person? Then I find out it is and I'm like damn. And yeah her last few albums have been fabulous. They haven't left my playlists yet.

I particularly liked how they displayed the name of the song being played. I never saw anything in Hangul on the screen regarding this, so they went above the call of duty and sourced that info too? Amazing.

iSUBS was the first fansub group that actually convinced me to donate cash for premium access. I'll definitely pour out a 40 for them tonight.

That said, Dramafever subs seem to be good. Friends tell me that the translation is very workable, just a few grammatical issues that come with the territory.

Of course, this is only translating... iSUBS went beyond the call of duty and even labeled the music and subbed the on screen captions no matter how insignificant they are.

Anyway, I'm disappointed GAF... I thought Taeyeon's boyfriend would be the end of K-Pop not those producers who keep making the same songs over and over again. I also totally forgot that Mamamoo was nugu group.... shows you how good they are if I forget they're rookies.

Last I saw was part 2 of the Dream Cup. Been meaning to get to the idol special but I've been busy and I haven't had to source the sub and raw out lol.

Yeah, I pretty much use the DF srt with a HD raw file. It works well enough and is better than KSN thats for sure.

For RM I get the 720p raw and then Dramafever softsubs off the koreanvariety subreddit. Usually the raw is up hours after broadcast then the subs within a couple days. Definitely crap compared to iSUBS but they're more than good enough to be watchable.
