Since when did I put 67 hours in Divinity? -_-

Have there been any deals on the Dark Soul 2 Season Pass? I guess the first bit comes out soonish.

Also lol my brothers playing Marlow Briggs. It's not all that bad yet. A lot B-movie cheese but it looks fun so far

that's because this game IS amazing ... it's like an awesome 80s action movie :) totally underrated and overlooked

Well he usually gives me good deals, but not sure what to think. He has the Russian store (not Russian) but none of his games are region-locked (for now).

I haven't played Witcher 1/2, nor Dead Rising 1/2, and I'm a LoTR geek.

I haven't bought a game with paypal directly for ageesss...once you get a taste of how cheap most games can be with key trades, it's hard to go back :p

30k = $54 for me (more or less, unless I buy keys from someone else).

I don't know why DR3 seems to be so expensive, or maybe Shadow of Mordor is the expensive one...

The only thing that counts (at least for most people, excluding JaseC): Do you want to play those games?
- TW3 is a sure-fire hit.
- DR3 a known quantity (XBO release)
- Mordor looks promising. Everything is possible, ranging from excellent to a dud.

Dead Rising 3 was 25% off as a Daily when the Summer Sale kicked off. 30 keys for the lot in the here and now is actually a good price.

Yea, I'm at 50 hours in Divinity now, I see no reason to switch back to Dark Souls 2, ever.. I'm pretty blown away by this game so far and am even more excited imagining the 4 player co-op campaigns the Steam workshop peeps will come up with.

Is DR3 a must have for you? If not, I'd suggest going with Mordor and Witcher 3 and skipping DR3, buying that one later, and playing Witcher 1+2 at some point. If you really like LoTR, I don't see why you wouldn't at least somewhat enjoy the Witcher franchise.

This is probably a long shot, but did anyone here buy the physical Hardened Edition of Call of Doggy: Ghosts? I'm curious as to whether or not it includes the Watcher DLC as the digital flavour does, the latter of which is no longer available as of a little less than two weeks ago.

Ok, I do have a blu ray collection because I am a film nerd.

Until I can stream that quality that is.

Games however, are easy to make digital.

This guy over on OT who's sad that he can't spend 10 hours a day watching anime anymore... He probably thinks VNs are the pinnacle of software too.

I'm reading through the father of the year candidate thread myself, some really great posts in there.

The "you retired?" picture in the anime thread is pretty great though.

So, while we're on the subject of graphic cards, how much of an upgrade is 750Ti vs my current 6770?
768p native res + i3-3250 here

Depends on how much you want to spend and what your system can handle. The 760 has a tdp of... 160? 170? Watts whereas the 750ti pulls a maximum of 60-70 watts (thanks to magical Maxwell chipset) with it actually firmware limited by Nvidia to have a max pull of 36 watts (which you can edit so you can over clock even higher!). And remember, less power consumed means less heat generated. The 750ti keeps reallllllly cool even under high pressure (I was doge mining for a while with a set of the 750ti, and they never jumped above 60 degrees Cel. And that was without anything more than the stock cooler and an open air PC case) AND the 750ti card is smallllll!

The 760 on paper is a better card with more CUDA cores and whatnot but honestly, to me, I am biased and will heartily recommend a 750ti over it. The power it pulls vs the power it provides for gaming is just too good to not take advantage of. To me it wasn't worth spending around $100 more to get an old chipset that performs only decently better. You would be better off waiting for more Maxwell cards to come out or going for a 770.

Did I mention I love my 750ti?

You've earned enough steamgaf cache to have it done by another member. Just sayin'

I did a little more poking around and realised that the only post-release sub that contains the DLC is the Russian one. :( It's otherwise limited to pre-orders. Now I have to wonder if I should pre-order Call of Doggy: Advanced Woofare at what is basically full price in order to obtain a piece of DLC that may or may not be released separately.

Edit: I'll still eventually have a UK GAFer buy me the Hardened Edition, anyway, seeing as ~$35 is as cheap as it's going to get.

Has anyone bought Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 from Nuuvem? I get a "this product is not available in your region" message after adding it to my cart and proceeding to check out. Is it region locked?

The game isn't but Nuuvem's own listing is. You can use a VPN to get around this.

Any recommended producer? I'd prefer as much silent fans as possible, especially while idling (something my 6770 has problems with) over 2-3 fps more while gaming.

Of course the two most recent additions to the IGBW's "Keys Added" list are tied to bundles I missed. What a kick to the nuts.

Bizarrely I come running to your need once again. I did but won't be able to check until later tonight if that's ok. No rush I don't think, amazon seems to be stocked to the gills.

The timing window for combos is insane, at least for a post 30 year old like me

Are you using a controller?
I know timing is my biggest issue as well and I end up having to use a stick or fight pad to press the buttons fast enough to get the timing and frames right.

Someone on steamGAF buying a game for full price? Is this even real life?

Yes, I'm on a 360 third party controller (a razer onza). Couldn't do it on the Wii U pro d-pad, because as good as that dpad is, it tends to register multiple directions at the same time with my fat fingers.

Urge to buy arcade stick or fightpad rising once again

The fight pad is the best middle ground you ca get. Keeps it simple since its in the controller style but definitely gives you faster and easier inputs.

It's okay: the DLC was exclusive to pre-orders save for Russia (which I'm guessing was a mistake), but I'll soon snap up the physical HE nonetheless since it's (relatively) cheap at 20 Britishbucks.

Well, it's $48 on GameFly, factoring in the 20% discount code, but that's still around twice the RU price. :(

That's great, hard as balls in the hard areas. Completely random too. Willing to bet that in a week after release when everyone has beaten it, any latecomers will be screwed due to the skewed difficulty.

Yeah, that's my fear, game looks amazing, hope the game difficulty doesn't spikes too much, or that they add an option to use the original difficulty, I don't think it's wise to make the game hard to newcomers. Will try to beat it soonish though before it becomes too hard.

You have one W too many, and the order of the games is incorrect to match the acronym :p
