(how did the Nanashi no Game series worked this, does anybody know?)

Nanashi no Game is something I was not expecting to see in this topic, it's relatively obscure in the grand scheme of things.

All I know on Nanashi no Game's marketing was that this was a Japanese TV spot commercial for the game.

And this was Square Enix's game trailer for trade shows.

What's XSeed got to do with this? Nintendo will be the one that will be localizing the game.

Trust me on this Nintendo will localize the game, they aren't going to pass this up when the Wii U need games.

Not well-received at all, they do terrible critically. However, for better or worse they do great at the box office. I'm guessing people are waiting for more word than a passive video comment from a producer on a Japanese live-stream, and to see something from the film outside of the announcement, like a teaser or screens or a trailer or info. We don't have a movie name or anything about the movie outside of the fact it's a Hollywood Fatal Frame movie, it's supposed to be coming out next year, and we know who the producer is (not even the director).

Assuming the American film adaptation info is legit, how is it possible that anyone thinks this game isn't coming to the west?

It's definitely legitimate, it was on the official live stream last night right after the Fatal Frame Wii U announcement and a little after they were done talking about the Japanese Fatal Frame film.

Kadokawa has film and manga rights they all came together for this event and Nintendo has the official website for this game and features a link to the movie that releases the day before the game comes out as a cross promotion but the Hollywood version of the series is a new movie that has not been shown yet and it is Kadokawa business they can't promote what they do not have rights to in a different region unless they have the same cross promo deal

if they were going to promote a hollywood film they would have streamed worldwide with english Nintendo Direct

they can't hype that because they don't have the rights

You can find the Fatal Frame games on Xbox for fairly decent prices on Xbox on Ebay and Amazon, about $20-40 individually for both of them.

Which Fatal Frame is the 'best' really ranges from person to person, though generally the most recognized one as being the 'best' is Fatal Frame 2. However, opinions are kind of all over on what game in the series is the best/worst.

The bright side is that the Xbox versions of Fatal Frame 1 and 2 are definitely the best versions of the game, especially in the case with 2, which added a lot of new content from the PS2 release (the Wii Remake of 2 is more an altogether different beast in many ways even if its the same game, but its also very different).

There is a camera function in FF 4 that makes you able to see secret ghost...
I was so scared just to activate it :lol
Also, I finished FF 4 once in Japanese and twice with the fan translation patch for the best ending + Fatal Frame 2 Wii with all the ending and I'm still so scared at certain point, I just rush those as quickly as possible, I'll never be able to play this game at night 0_o

Anyway, so hyped for this one, I wish Nintendo would do a HD port of FF4 for the west.

1 is the best pretty much unanimously, from 2 on they were obsessed with the spirits (mostly the females) looking "pretty" and that takes away from the scare factor quite a bit, with few exceptions..and of course BATTLE MODE!

I think just something along the lines of the sorts of clothing you might be wearing in the settings you're exploring. The overtly fashionable, skimpier outfits feel odd to me with what they've shown. Pants would be nice.

I guess. To be fair, we don't know how willingly and prepared she gets into this scenario, but I'm not gonna pretend they chose this outfit because they felt it fit the situation, but I also don't find it that exaggerated and skimpy (at least she's wearing (very) short pants and not a skirt). It does seem to trigger an immediate reaction with certain people, though.

I've only played the first Amnesia and a bit of Fatal Frame 4, ...

Fatal Frame is regarded by many to be one of the scariest horror franchises. For me I don't find it as scary as most, but I do find it fun and it has its moments....

I'm pretty sure it's a bit of both worlds, from what I remember.

There's a reason people call it the best game in the horror genre right now.

It has jump scares but it's mostly psychological. The music, the sound, the lighting, it's all perfect.

To be honest I've never found Fatal Frame that scary.

Also when those special ghosts appear from nowhere the only thing I can think of is "quick, take a picture before it disappears along with those sweet points I need to upgrade my camera".
