By the way, I was looking on GMG for FF3 (maybe they've discounted it...no), and I've noticed this:

AC Unity
Dragon Age 3
Borderlands the Pre-Sequel
Evolve

Are all 60€

This industry is really going under a rail.

They worked out people like digital, and can just start selling full whack for games digitally now. Yay, the industry is run by assholes!

I still haven't bought Watchdogs, simply because I refuse to pay £39.99 for a digital game.

my last achievement - bitches being crazy, heartlessly dealing with demon removed poor Jahan from the party. he received cool new brain slug hat for free though!

That's cool. Good job! How aware do you have to be about achievements on your first playthrough? Can you just play normally and then backtrack? Is it even possible to get all achievement in one playthrough?

Playfire still doesn't work for me. They did an account refresh and said to wait 24 hours, but that didn't help apparently.

The more they increase prices, the more people put effort into finding ways to buy it cheaper elsewhere.

Case in point, already pre-purchased Dragon Age 3, thanks to a trip to Mexico. Evolve on the other hand went from day 1 to maybe bargain bin purchase around Christmas 2015.

Yep, same here. I only want 3 AAA games this fall but I refuse to pay £40 for them. In the case of Destiny that's very difficult, can't find it anywhere sub £45 -_-

Well they can but I doubt it'll lead to the profits they're hoping for, we're not as thirsty as console-only early adopters, quite the opposite really.

Nice avatar btw

there are 3 achievements you would need to focus on right from the start and get the corrcet attributes/traits for them but that spoils the whole story/party forming experience big time. i did second speedrun playthrough on easy in 15 hours to pick the rest.

I'd make a similar trip but I'm still wary of DR3 after DA2. I'm going to wait for reviews before booking my tickets.

Plus I still have to finish DA: Awakening.

Why the cold shoulder for Evolve?

I thought I saw you activate another on me of those the other day. Of course, that could have easily been a different year.

Yeah, that was the Asian version of 2013. There was also supposed to be a Turkish version, but Sega listened to the outcry and included Turkish in the ROW version of the game.

Edit: Oublieux said he'll keep an eye out for 2009 KR and 2010 KR, but with them being EOL for a few years now I'm not getting my hopes up (unfortunately the listings I found were useless on the count of there being no stock).

But people who already upgraded to Ultra only get one drop?
Salty...

One extra drop in addition to the usual five. The rule that defines F2P game drops (one drop for every $9 spent in-game) was expanded to paid games as well in the form of DLC purchases granting users additional drops.

Here's a question for you. Out of the top collectors on Steam are there any titles at all that no one or very, very few have? Still obtainable games of course.

Yeah, obscure retail-specific curios like Dynasty Warriors 7, the region-specific Football Managers and the JP-specific versions of Dead Island: Riptide, FEAR 2, etc. aren't exactly common.

Is there any source to find who the biggest collectors on Steam are? I found a list previously but that seems to be defunct now. Would be an interesting thing to look at.

Yeah I can remember looking up some obscure JP retails games after you mentioned it. Though half the time it's a tiny bit ambiguous as to what version they are and at some of the prices I've seen would be a bit of a silly risk to spend on what could turn out as a NA or EU/PAL version. Though with the ranks of this thread filling up you might find a helping hand a bit better now.

AStats has a list, but needless to say it doesn't track private/friends-only profiles.

Super-famicom lives in Japan, IIRC. I'll be bugging him once I'm done with Football Manager. ;)

I just got another blue screen while playing SR4, even though I uninstalled Catalyst 14.7 and reinstalled 14.4. :/

I'm running 14.2, if that makes a difference.
I also don't let the vision center run, usually.

So I finished Saint's Row IV last night....and is it just me or did those last few missions drag on to the point of tedium for everyone? If I never have to play another "Defend X" or "Destroy X of Y" mission for the rest of my life it'll be too soon.

Welcome to modern gaming.
That shit is in pretty much all the "big" games too.

Ah, well, my boyfriend got annoyed and offered to redeem the key for me... he has 300+ games and says he doesn't care about having a stupid game taint his list.
Turns out it was this game (so I was right XD):

Unlike Bad Rats, Secrets is actually a decent game.
Sure, it's on the really easy side an it's about horsies (sorry: unicorns and demon steeds), but still, it's a game. They also just added a multiplayer race component, which I guess you'll now miss out on! ;)

Well.. Apparently my card selling days are nearing their end this year. I am nearing the 200 listing limit without providing my SS# to Valve. No freaking way.

Not like I'm anywhere near the 20k gross sales required for them to report it to the IRS but with all the security breaches on the internet these days, my SS# isn't getting tossed around just to sell a few cards for 10 cents.

Risen 3 is can now be pre-loaded. 8.6GB install, 4.8GB download.

Looking forward to this and hope it brings some freshness to the series. Too many sequels lately have been glorified expansion packs rather than new games.

oh man.. gamescom tomorrow. you guys think microsoft will announce anything PC related at their xbox conference?

Probably not. I would expect those announcements to be more low key so that they don't throw off people who may want an Xbone in the future. But one can dream. Hoping for some sort of Valve announcement, anything at all.

Ugh this new pc has me considering buying games I've already played on ps3 just to experience that sweet, sweet 60fps. I've already added like 4 games the past two days.
I don't see why you shouldn't do it. The infinite backwards comparability comes in handy should your PS3 die on you.
