From the little bit I've checked the other thread and some posts here, it seems like the copyrights on the box are only for the things on the box.

But realistically here, we have to ask ourselves why Snake wouldn't be on the box.

And no, the answer isn't to keep him hidden for a surprise reveal.

It makes very little sense to assume Snake is in, but does not appear on the box. He'd absolutely be on the box, just like Sonic is, because it would still be cool he was in the game.

Snake isn't like ROB or Wolf or even Ness. He isn't going to be quietly added as a secret character and never used in advertising like they are.

The wording was a joke on the unconfirmed veterans of Smash Bros like Ness, Jigglypuff, Wario, Falco, etc

And we agree too. I don't think Snake is in the game, I just don't think the box art info proves it.

The fact that he's not on the box is pretty much the same as knowing he isn't revealed yet. It could be a final surprise or whatever, but given every precedent we have for third party characters, it's unlikely.

It annoys me, but it's not like there's much Smash 4 content this thread hasn't analyzed to hell and back. It's nice that this thread feels like a community and we're all pretty friendly in here, but I worry about whether this thread will survive the days that are left til the games' release if this stuff keeps up. I like the idea of Oric posting results more evenly throughout the day, maybe that will generate some more game-related discussion. OR we should just move to community.

There should be a SmashGAF Community thread and a SmashGAF Community Community thread.

Well we debunked that he would have to be on the back on the box at least.
Snake talk is awlays when I want to pop my head in SmashGAF.

With that said if he's in I wonder how he'll be tweaked. I definitely see his hit box and weight being fixed. Though there's numerous way to go about it. I'm ok with how snake is fixed (Not counting new movies) in ProjectM. Aside from only being able to use one grenade. Someone needs to explain that BS to me. That killed his whole grenade game.

I actually don't use Snake much in PM because of the single grenade lol.

That, and the bitterness I felt about Wario's changes carried over.

Yeah, he'll definitely have to be fixed. Haven't tried out PM but one grenade sounds lame.

Midna & The Wolf. Heck, make it the Shadow Wolf, as it appears in Hyrule Warriors. The wolf does the running, jumping, biting, clawing, etc, while Midna casts magic, warps them around, and of course grapples with her hair-magic, which can also be used to manipulate items and grab ledges. The Final Smash would be the Fused Shadow.
