Right first things first dynamic character shadows don't render correctly for me on Highest so I skipped that. The thing with State of Decay that slightly bothered me was that the max res was 1080p, I have a monitor that is per pixel resolution and is 2.5K. But the framrate was a bit jarring, in a too smooth kind of way going from 360 to PC.XD 360 probably hovered around 15-25fps.
Open them separately in a different browser tab or download them and flick through them so you can seen what is being added and the detail being pulled back. If even by doing that you can't see much difference then thankfully you're not a picky sod as I am with image quality
Right click on the game in your Steam library, click properties, then click the Set Launch Options button and input -fullscreen and hey presto it will run at you set system resolution.

What's the performance difference between Medium and Ultra, though? I'm super picky about maxing stuff out to the best of my ability, but even I'm not seeing a huge difference. It's noticeable (probably moreso in motion) but if the performance hit is pretty massive then I don't really see the point.
Aliasing is a pretty huge problem, though. It seems that you've fixed that up, but 70% is kind of ridiculous.

Yeah, looks like shadows and far LOD is about it. Seems like AO is added as well, but it might be better for performance to try and force AO through the Nvidia Control Panel, as their implementation is often noticeably faster than some built-in AO (and it seems like State of Decay is kind of a mess in the optimization department from what I've heard).

well, I am half blind, so I'm probably not one to talk about nitpicky stuff. I see small differences, it just doesn't seem to me quite as significant as to you, it seems.

Can't tell to be honest as I've played about 30 mins of the game tops and that bunch of screenies took 2 mins of my time. It's not the most efficient engine ever made but performce prior to forcing AA was pretty solid but I do have some pretty hefty GPUs so I'd ask someone like Salsa or Stump who have play a lot more of the game.
Really in motion with out AA forced it's quite... well it's not nice to the eyes. SGSSAA is great as it's temporaly stable under motion but it does come at a big performance cost. MSAA is also quite taxing but less so and might do the trick plus there are various injectors out there with SMAA being a favourite as it has good edge detection and doesn't smear the image like most post process AA. Well it's on PC Gaming Wiki and over at the Steam Community section so I don't know. Might be the same reason Super Giant were saying that Transistor is no higher than 1920x1080 despite it going comfortably up to 2560x1440 and despite them saying it would strech the art work it really doesn't to the best of my eye and actually brings out more details. But hey what do I know.

Trust me that's a good thing. There's nothing worse than being indecisive about playing a game because some little pixel isn't rendering correctly to your tastes. I need someone to clonk me over the head some times and say 'Just play the damn game!'

*not sure with Ghosts, it was before it came out - wouldn't be suprised if BO2 was still more popular than Ghosts.

Makes sense, Rockstar would barely make a thousand dollars(I worked it out) because of piracy which would hardly cover the porting cost. Not to mention, why bother with an archaic platform when they can develop for a power house like the PS4 and squeeze every last inch of power out of its top of the line hardware.
