"Huh, Banner Saga drops really slowly. Oh well, I'm having fun."
"Time to close it down and go eat someth... oh, that's why. I still had Floating Point open."

But yeah, Banner Saga is pretty great... and hard.
Not only in the combat sections, but also in the choices you have to make.

Is it just me or Dragon Age Origins is an hard game.

it was hard for me until i respecced using a mod and learning the right moves and stats.

There are a few things that makes it hard if you don't gear up your tank and if you didn't learn the crowd control spells.

Its quite hard, i am playing it these days and its really challeging, i die alot.

Exactly.

If you don't have a healer in your group for the most part of the game you're screwed. I learned that the hard way

I don't have any. I'm still at the "start", I freed Sten and I went straight to the elves. Wolves and werewolves are killing me. And I don't have many potions either...

You need a balanced party, also best to the pause feature and issue orders as well as its easier to react to the enemy rather than in real time.

Yeah, I use the pause, it's would be impossible otherwise.

Well my main is a thief and the only mage I have in the party for now is Morrigan and she doesn't have many area spells. :\

IIRC the Elves section is actually one of the harder ones in Dragon Age: Origins. In my play-through I somehow ended up doing the harder areas + most of the DLC side-missions first, so a good portion of the rest of the game was easy.

Also Fireball is OP. Unless you're playing on the hardest difficulties I would just throw that out as often as possible.

Hey! So Im not really sure on where to post this, but here goes.

Last week I bought Dishonored on sale. I was on mobile, and accidentally bought it as a gift. When I came home a few days ago, it wasnt (and still isnt) in my game library or in gifts. I have a receipt (email verifying my purchase) and 5 bucks less in steam wallet.
Its not in my purchase history either, and Steam havent answered my question on their support site.

Im kind of at a loss on what to do next here

Was gonna give Steamworld Dig 10-15 minutes before dinner to see how it was and if I wanted to spend a few hours playing it after eating... Ended up forgetting about dinner and spent 3 straight hours mining for minerals, and now I have to order pizza so I can keep digging away with minimal interruption.

Which ending did you choose
for season 2?

I stayed with Kenny because I thought that girl had killed the baby. Killing babies is wrong! But then, it was a lie... the baby was safe. She is gone now even if she teach me a thing or two. Kenny may not be easy to like but he was there for me and he really was trying to protect the baby. Then... I decided to go to that fort with the baby, watching Kenny leaving, alone... It was for the best. I guess? I still have my handgun and Kenny was too tired to have him helping me and the baby.

I wish the decisions could been different and more important during all episodes. I tried to point that in my little review on Steam.

Did you check your steam inventory to see if it was put there? Not sure when you wrote gifts if you meant the steam inventory

Yup did that too. When you buy a game as a gift you can choose how to gift it (via email or via steam inventory). But I received neither

I had a similar problem a few weeks back when buying some items from the market -- the money was deducted and I received the e-mails, but the items took about an hour to show up. Submit a support ticket and quote the transaction number in the purchase confirmation e-mail; if the game shows up before you get a response, just close the ticket yourself and it'll be ignored.

I think you'll find you don't have your gun anymore. They force you to drop it before approaching the gate. Hope it is safe in there... I just want to give Clem a big hug :(

Once Jane says to trust her when Clementine asks where the baby is, I knew she had hidden the kid to antagonize Kenny. Once she pulled that, I knew Kenny was the only choice. I even stuck with him at the gate.

The choices, until then at least, did not feel like they carried massive weight like the decisions in the first season did. But I still really liked the game.

Oooh, been wanting to play it. Need a "simple" game where I can spend a hour here and there with. Buying it now!:D

*Spoilers galore for Walking Dead season 2 just incase!*

damn it monk :(

If you think
the baby died by accident like Jane was saying, would you have chosen the same ending? I just couldn't watch Kenny kill someone I liked, (although implied that Jane set this up to test Kenny), even if it means I get the to decide to end his life. I do like Kenny but I don't like how he hurts everyone else, luckily it's Clementine that he wouldn't harm, buuuut that's not guaranteed.

edit: btw
I killed Kenny and went with Jane, I think it's actually a worse ending than Kenny's but I think I'm going to stick with my choice, although I don't think it matters in season 3 whether or not you get to play as Clem :p

Love will always find a way and will make a better weapon that handguns.

Once Jane says to trust her when Clementine asks where the baby is, I knew she had hidden the kid to antagonize Kenny. Once she pulled that, I knew Kenny was the only choice. I even stuck with him at the gate.

Her action was really avoidable, there was no reason for her to hide the baby. What if the baby started crying and a walker heard that...? :(

The choices, until then at least, did not feel like they carried massive weight like the decisions in the first season did. But I still really liked the game.

She was taking care of the baby, how could something happen to the baby and not to her? No excuse, you either die saving the future of mankind or both live!

Jane is young and her attitude will get her killed. There was no reason for her to react like that and you killed a hard-to-love man but he just want to keep the baby safe.

PS: I have my eyes on you Anteater! Don't you dare to stab me in the back, huh? :p

like what if she gets grabbed by a zombie and she dropped the baby?

Also Kenny didn't try to kill her because he wanted to keep the baby safe, he was trying to kill her because he was under the assumption that Jane killed the baby based on nothing but his own distrust of Jane

Do you remember Kenny's attitude when the group was caught by Carver? He wanted to punch his way out that would've put the group in danger, I couldn't stick with someone like that.

I really need to get back into this game and play it again, but that was pretty much my experience as well. Played for like 10 minutes just mining some stuff and learning the basics, then 2 whole hours passed by hah

She gave up on her own sister... good luck having fun with her if you (Clem) have broken leg or something. She will dump you really fast

I just want to make LEE proud of me! *Sweet pea* ;_;

Finished the Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 Revelations DLC.

They did the smart thing and it takes place entirely in the castle, so no boring industrial Castlevania City (great name ugh) bullshit, and only some of the transition areas are recycled, it's mostly new rooms. No other significant changes to the formula. Alucard fights with a sword that goes red and blue with magic. It's a prequel and sets up some of the story for the main game. There's a bunch of timed puzzles, and those are boring, but at least there are no shitty set pieces.

It's alright.

Oh that's weird. Glad I didn't buy one then, I thought it was like the 360 model with a dongle. Guess their definition of "works on PC" is highly relative then :p GameStop and Microsoft, always a winning combination of misinformation.
NOW WORKS ON PC!*

About The Walking Dead Season 2
The scene with Lee in the RV was so unexpected and so touching, got surprised how much it moved me seeing him again.

Steamworld Dig was such a joy, both my girlfriend and I played all the way through it after I picked it up this summer sale. Doesn't try to do too much or to be some sort of endless mining game, perfect combination of exploration and action. Well worth a playthrough of 7-8 hours.

Morning my good GAFfers, hope everyone is okay. Coffee is done, can make an extra cup for some of you if you want one.

I have a question that may be a bit silly or show my ignorance regarding this matter. I know that, in a Early Access game it is expected to have many bugs, glitches, crashes, etc. The game is not yet finished so it's understandable to have these issues. However, can a game in this state make you PC work "harder" as in, pushing more for your graphic card, increasing the heat/making the fans spinning faster not because it's a demanding game but because the game is not optimized yet? Is this possible or make any sense? Thanks in advance and I'm sorry if this is an obvious thing.

Yes. This is also why many developers will use PCs to display console exclusive titles that are still in development or will not feel confident to release the final PC requirements.

Her sister completely didn't want to try though, think of her as Sarah, if she made that choice, why should I force her (my choice in season 2 was saving sarah though, but she ended up dying anyway), there's a minor difference, Jane also loves her sister and it was what developed her complex towards Clementine and came back for her, also I'm not counting on Jane to stick around after that stupid stunt, so it's more like I don't want to stick with Kenny and I chose Jane just because I wanted to survive a little longer, BUT I will choose to go our separate ways if things don't work out

Well my main is a thief and the only mage I have in the party for now is Morrigan and she doesn't have many area spells. :\

If you prefer not to respec your characters and don't mind to lose a few hours of playtime, you can load before going to the elves and select the Mage Tower as your first destination.

Since you're playing a rogue, I suggest going to the Circle and recruit help.
Pay attention if you intend to bring Morrigan to the Tower, though

If you don't mind using a mod and respec, then you can give Morrigan Heal, Mind Blast, Force Field (you can use this on one your party member as well, they won't do any more damage, but if the enemy is targeting them it can be useful), Telekinetic Weapons, Crushing Prison (I love this one), Weakness, Paralyze, Miasma and Mass Paralysis.
Haste is another useful addition and I prefer having it before Mass Paralysis, but it depends on your playstile.

Two mages with Haste and your rogue and warrior/other rogue will cut through enemies in no time.

This is a dangerous game that's being played with all these WDS2 spoilers. But anyway what I did was...
I went with Jane to Howes and refused the family trying to come in. Kenny was sadly too far gone and I found the moment Clementine and him had together before he died to be really nice closure.

Borderlands the pre-sequel season pass announced: http://borderlandsthegame.com/index...pass-announced-for-borderlands-the-pre-sequel

not very surprising though. I hope they won't go overboard with it... I, like many others, preferred how they handled Borderlands 1, dlc-wise.

The four add-on content packs will encompass new characters, challenges, missions, and experiences. As Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel nears completion and the team shifts its focus to add-on content, additional details will be announced as development progresses. Each add-on content pack will retail individually for $9.99 on all available platforms.

Additionally, the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Season Pass bundles the four add-on content packs at a discounted rate. Priced at $29.99, theBorderlands: The Pre-Sequel Season Pass includes access to all four of the add-on content packs – a $39.96 value – and will be available for purchase when Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel releases on October 14, 2014 in North America and October 17, 2014 internationally. Once purchased, the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Season Pass enables the download of all included add-on content packs as they become available on the PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE and PC.

Gamers who pre-order Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel from participating retailers will gain access to the Shock Drop Slaughter Pit bonus content. Taking place in an old Dahl facility on Pandora's moon, players will meet TR4-NU, who once was one of Dahl's military recruiters until he went crazy. TR4-NU is now hosting the Shock Drop Slaughter Pit and giving awesome loot to those who succeed against the moon's toughest enemies. The Shock Drop Slaughter Pit will not be included in the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Season Pass, but it will be available for purchase at a later date, for those who do not pre-order Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

Milking intensifies.

I'm done buying games right off the bat with season passes and shit. I'll just have to wait 2 or 3 years to get the whole game. It's just too much to keep up with. The cost isn't the problem, it's that feeling of disorganization.
