That's unfair since Ys is not a turn based jRPG like those games.
FF hasn't been turn-based for a while now.

I have high hopes since that other Ys title for the Vita came. But still I don't want to say for sure till we have confirmation.
get in here xseed.
they'll keep the fuck from this thread because they know that if they come here they will be bombarded with questions of it coming to the west lol
we sure they meant ps4 and not ps3

Bought The Oath in Felghana a couple of months ago but never played it. Probably gonna play it soon because of this announcement. It looks really interesting.
They have like... total 50 people in employment.
They really need more staff lol. Wonder what qualifications one would need to join their programming dept.
Do it. It's one of the best games ever made.Bought The Oath in Felghana a couple of months ago but never played it. Probably gonna play it soon because of this announcement. It looks really interesting.

That's because it's a Vita game.I'm excited and all, but yeesh, those screenshots.
They're not quite what I expect when I think of a Playstation 4 game.
I've never played a Ys game before, but I'd be way more interested in this if it had an art style similar to this concept art. As is all those screenshots look like any generic rpg.
It's an up-port of a Vita game.
That's because it's a Vita game.
Really? Because that piece of concept art was used exclusively in relation to Falcom talking about PS4. I think it's likelier a cheaply made game in Phyre Engine.
That promo art sums up Ys so well. It's that allure of exploring lost world...they've communicated it so lushly here.
Looks fine in screens, great in motion; is jumping and rolling new or were they mechanics in MoCelceta? I wonder if this is a reimagining of the Kefin scenario (from sand to water, I suppose) or a new story. Whatever happens, the shareholders are likely to push for a Western STEAM PC port, if the previous stockholders' meeting report is any indication.

Quit your clowning. Go play Oath in Felghana. These games aren't about story. it's about amazing battle systems with perfect timing needed to win the war. Grinding can only get you so far. you either learn the mechanics or you die. ANd the controls are as tight as can be humanly possible, meaning a fuck up is on you, not the game. Simple as that.I've never played a Ys game before, but I'd be way more interested in this if it had an art style similar to this concept art. As is all those screenshots look like any generic rpg.
If this isn't the Ys V remake, then it's an original and that leaves one more remake production for Falcom to sharpen the Ys Seven party paradigm.
I knew about rolling. Jumping's new, since it wasn't in MoC.
