Like Heavenly Sword on the PS3?
Because the enemies in Heavenly Sword or Musuo games look anywhere near as good as the ones in SO or DR3 or ISS.

What does a living room setting matter?Forgive me if this is a stupid question:
Is it possible to tell the difference between 900p and 1080p in a living room setting?

Ryse isn't an open world game and very linear in comparison to how Sunset Overdrive looks.
Second Son says hi.
i have a sunset overdrive drink from e3 and was planning on drinking it on release day but im afraid i might die. yes or no?
also the game looks fine.
Yep, especially when the game looks and plays like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJ7tsuuWJ-k&list=UUR1wCXM9e7NshYfonwa5BAg

It beckons your soul doesn't it? =) Don't resist. Just act.Zero interest in the game but I want the white Xbox One....

This game seems to be packed with a shit ton more content, animations, effects, enemies on screen, and a larger world than SS.Second Son says hi.
lol just no. SS doesnt get any where near chaotic and fast as Sunset Overdrive.

Which animation?
They said they're done with 60 didn't they?Dammit.
Insomniac please, at least get Ratchet back to 60fps
I think this game looks fun and I'll pick it up, but to this day I'm stunned at how MS's engineers were able to release such an undercooked system in such a big box (that still has an external power brick) in late 2013.
Seems like a fast paced game; I thought for sure it would be 60FPS. Interesting design choice.

It depends on the distance from your TV. Yes if you are close, no if you sit far.

That's hyperbole of the highest caliber.main characters. Makes bethesda look good
It's an issue that these threads blow up but ones with gameplay don't.
because I'm not going to sit 3 inches from my screen and count pixels? I just wonder if it something that is actually noticeable or just message board fodder.
Considering there was a thread back in June, yes
Really isn't considering this news originally came out back in June.
What would the difference look like? Does a 900p resolution create artifacts/blurriness etc?

TBesides, PS4-only/X1-hating folks have to win some kind of argument to make themselves feel good about living with their decisions in home entertainment products.
Harvey Eagle struggles to, but most members of NeoGAF have better eyesight than that.

That's an interesting take on things.

That's because it's easier to argue bullshit about relatively meaningless metrics than the important core things that we all care about when we actually play the game themselves. What else explains the energy thrown in these kinds of threads with so many who claim they don't care or don't ever want to own the platform or games in question? Only thing I can think of besides people trolling and arguing to kill time.

Played it at gamescom. It felt more like 20-25 fps than 30 fps.
I haven't played Sunset Overdrive (have you?) but Infamous: Second Son is at the very least incredibly fast. Neon Powers! The 60fps framerate absolutely helps there.

It's easy to talk about something objective than something subjective, like whether or not you like how something plays.
