That's what I tought... 4 Cores and each of those with as much power as you can get...They shouldn't have tested in 1080p however, this will have a decent impact in the results, even with a GTX 780 Ti.
My poor old OC'd Bloomfield's gonna puke... I'll guess I'll be around somewhere where the FX-8350 is. Well, guess it's downsampling without big framerate-impact for me then ;-)
You *are* playing the game in windowed borderless mode. We all are. Surprise!
It finally showed up.

I think you may have misunderstood what he/she suggested, after doing those NVidia CP settings you need to set your in game resolution to 2560x1440 not 2560x10802560x1080 without scaling

i just played more of this game and wow its a stunner. it CAN def be enjoyed at 30fps and its smooth. instead of watching the fps counter in the top right i actually played the game and after about 5mins its very playable so give it a chance. im happy that the fps is a solid 30fps and im playing at 1440p. looks gorgeous.
GTX970 4GB
i7 2600K 4.5Ghz
now back to the game![]()

You are right, I knew this day would come. Hell, I knew it was on the horizon when I had to enable pixel doubling to make BF4 run halfway decent.
I know games have gone off the deep end with requirements as of late, but should the game run okay on a 2GB 770 GTX/I5-4670K OC'd to 4ghz and 8 gigs of ram? I am not trying to unlock the fps due to not caring about that. I just want to play the game at reasonable performance.
Are you guys at PCGH doing any benches for this?

I knew it! But wait how is crossfire working if this is the case??? I thought anything except a real fullscreen disables a second gpu???
I've got the same card as you and a 3570k and I'm getting 30fps at 1080 just fine.
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=134269484&postcount=740Is the Steam Overlay not working for anyone else with this game? It's enabled in the game's settings, as well as steam's settings, but in game the overlay is just disabled for w/e reason :\
The miserable performance made me not buy the game.
I'm writing that just in the case someone from the devs or the publishers are reading. YES, it hurts your sales, yes, some customers ARE voting with their wallet, not just talking about it.
Are you sure crossfire is working? I know idTech5 doesn't work with SLI and I was pretty sure it was the same with crossfire setups.
Why is idTech 5 so bad? Why would they choose to use an engine that makes a game with awful graphics have performance equal to games like Crysis 3.

Maybe through a config file? It worked for Rage and Wolfenstein, so why not here?So far so good, 1080p max settings and a solid 30fps (had to turn the film grain down to 75% though, far to bluish at 100%) - running a PII X3 450 unlocked @ X4 3.8ghz along with a super clocked GTX480 with 1.5gb ram. Is there no way to set anything manually regarding textures?, i was wondering is it possible to force a higher level on them.
Yeah, as of 17 minutes ago it's available worldwide.
In simple words, GAF, should I remove the black bars? Does it fuck with the aspect ratio or anything? Will my experience get dulled if i do so or should I stick to the regular aspect ratio the game comes with?
Haha, now in Chapter 4. 1440p/30fps locked is no longer a realityBah, back down to 1080 I suppose.
So I benchmarked hyper threading on VS off. All settings at their highest. Framerate unlocked. Vsync on. Display at 144 Hz. Benchmark was the entire opening cutscene followed by one lap around the rainy courtyard.
1080p HT On: Avg: 87.634 - Min: 45 - Max: 142
1080p HT Off: Avg: 72.174 - Min: 46 - Max: 137
4K HT On: Avg: 34.641 - Min: 25 - Max: 51
4K HT Off: Avg: 34.214 - Min: 23 - Max: 50
So yeah, hyper threading definitely helps unless you're running at high resolutions like 4K where you're definitely going to be GPU limited.
Eh, its not so bad from a Japanese developer's first go at a PC port. The miserable performance made me not buy the game.

Game looks cool. I'd buy it already but I'm still playing some other stuff. Will get it soon, though. Certainly not gonna deprive myself just cuz its not a fantastic port.
If it is what i think go to "SteamApps\common\TheEvilWithin" > right click on EvilWithin.exe > Properties > switch to "Compatibility" tab > "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings"Why is my game cutting off three quarters of the image when I set it to 1920x1080? What a joke. I just want to play.
Aww, why can't I get games at a solid 60 with a 780ti these days? I really need a gsync monitor. Anyone with a 780ti and 3570k or something similar get a solid 60?That's actually a thing id-tech5 does well. So with the results I got with an GTX Titan @1080p (~65fps) I guess those guys really are GPU-bound somewhat

Removing the bars crops the image on the sides. Less visible area.

Narrower FOV without:
I do!Embrace the evil within Sean. You know you want to.

Thanks. I guess I'll be experimenting with this a lot then to see what works and looks better. Sucks that this is the case though.
Is everyone here playing with Controller or KB/M? I don't have a controller right now so I'm worried I won't be able to enjoy it...![]()
