SingStar: Ultimate Party hits PS3 & PS4 on 29 October

Earlier this year we announced that SingStar, your favourite singing game for PlayStation, was coming to PS4 in 2014. We can now also reveal the brand new version of SingStar and the SingStar Ultimate Party disc will be released on 29th October 2014.

There’s also been a lot of speculation about which songs will appear on the new disc and finally, the moment you’ve been waiting for has come. It’s with the greatest pleasure that we can reveal which 30 hit tracks you will be singing on SingStar: Ultimate Party on PS3 and PS4 very soon.

This. It seems like the community is still alive (especially in Europe) but man, they really need to jumpstart their online store again...

Wait, so this is being released on both PS3 and PS4?

I didn't know PS3 Singstar was still being supported. Will DLC continue to be released for PS3? (I don't think there have been updates in quite some time.)

These release dates are for Europe only, right? US here. :(

It hasn't been popular since Wii dominated. But that's probably more down to historical PS3 console base and entry price than the franchise itself. It seems that Sony is using PS4 as an opportunity to establish some broad appeal again.

Amazon hasn't shipped my PS4 copy yet and now I'm worried.

Can you test/verify that PS3 SingStore purchases work?

Maybe in the USA? But I know lots of people in Australia (aka Europe...) who are very keen for this.

Using the smart phones especially seems like a killer feature in terms of generating interest.

Because why not? kids and let it go will pay for itself anyway.

Ouch that sounds awful. Wonder why the backwards move. Especially considering they are releasing the same on PS3. Almost tempted not to update that version.

Singstar is actually out today in the UK, not sure why it says it's coming next week? We have it in stock and so do GAME I believe.

Yeah my copy has been despatched. Still salty though that I can't download a digital version from the store. I realise I can get the app but I want the 30 songs digitally for the disk price

Dude! The track list is pretty good.

I remember the good drunken times I had playing this with friends. SingStar plus alcohol plus PS Eye equals madness. Hope this makes a US release soon

Oh I agree, the free app on the PS3 removed online battles as well so I ended up launching from disc when required.

Yes both machines are getting a free updated application.

So, my 5yr old daughter found out about Singstar having Let It Go on it and is demanding, not asking, demanding I buy this game or I will not be allowed to talk to her ever again.

It should be noted that the version included in Singstar is a little bit different from the film version: In the film the singer is Idina Menzel, while the single version (which is included in Singstar) is sung by Demi Lovato:

According to the EU PS store update blog post it is meant to be coming out today.

Good times if true. I also downloaded the microphone app on my iPhone. It's cool that this app is available on my regional AppStore - the official PlayStation companion app for example isn't.

History is repeating it self. The biggest issue with Singstar is how the separate the US and EU. They need to treat it as one product. The game is not even out yet, and their is a ton of confusion surrounding the game.

The PS4 debut of SingStar has arrived with the least amount of fanfare possible.

It's like they wanted it to fail. Has anyone seen any ads? Any previews or press releases?

This is not how you cherish a beloved franchise, Sony!
