So sprinting in Halo 5. Add ADS along with thruster packs next. Throw in some killstreaks too.

How about this...

You only show up on Radar when you Sprint or shoot.

I have no idea how to alleviate the problems sprint presents.

As you sprint you lose shields and health until you die.

I took I quick snapshot, it isn't very good but it's the best you could work with using this footage.

I feel like it's Halo 5 since I don't really recognize the map (but quite frankly, I barely recognize Halo 4 maps in general) but to me it looks like the midship remake from the round-ish looking architecture. The shield bar on the hud looks much longer than Halo 4's as well.

I'm not sure though, I'm just shooting guesses. I say we shouldn't judge until tomorrow night when we see the game in proper form.
 
If some of you got access to the Halo Channel, take a look at the last (and first) Bulletin, there is some footage of the Halo 5 Guardians, menu & a bit of gameplay/gunplay.

Sprint is still there for those who's asking.

Can anyone get some better footage or pictures of this? Please?
 
The BR being the only utility/midrange weapon is a problem. It's just not an interesting weapon and it's the most used.

Then all the maps look brown and still not enough Power-up usage. You should always be fighting over Power-ups, not once in a while when it gets wasted a lot of the time. Halo is most interesting when you can be creative in a fun, diverse sandbox. Shootouts with the BR play out the same way, but there's exponentially more excitement if one player can pull off incredible plays where the audience knows there's a certain level of skill that takes determination to achieve.

What were some of the most exciting moments throughout that tournament? The Triple Kill by Flamesword? The come back where StK was trapped on the bottom of Lockdown because their utility weapon takes too long to kill against a team that has positions locked down? Perhaps for some it was the long, dragged out TS match? It really is funny how similar the Halo franchise is with Smash:

  • 64 = Halo CE --- Great combination of simplicity, accessibility and depth for competitive play.
  • Melee = Halo 2 --- They were both saved by button combos, glitches, advanced tech, etc.
  • Brawl = Halo 3/H2A --- Convoluted with nerfed gameplay.
Don't get me wrong, I love this franchise but I think competitive Halo can be infinitely more entertaining both while playing and watching.

That 8 second clip just kills me, fuckin kills me. ADS, hit markers, +10 headshot!, sprinting, it doesn't even look like Halo.

How 343 thought this was the correct way to go is just absolutely beyond me.

List of improvements needed before release as found on the beta.
  1. Remove sprint
  2. Remove ADS

This is ongoing.

The real question now is if aiming down the sights slows you down.

No, the real question would be if being shot while aiming kicks you out. If not, it's RIP, game over, pack your bags, it's done.

I just don't understand how they can see all the hype they got from the Ultimate love letter to the fans in the MCC and do that to halo 5. Why doe? ?????

No wonder Frank had replied to me when I said ADS was bad, asking what the difference is. It's because he knew they implemented it.

It just looks like a prettier zoom.

This has to be a joke. What the fuck are 343i doing? ADS? Did they pay attention to literally any freaking feedback? No one wants this shit
