I'm really heart broken by this. I was willing to work with Sprint, but this... my hype for Halo 5 is killed and hype for MCC is severly dashed, I'm close to closing the stream because that's how betrayed I feel.

Wow, and here I thought 343 learned from their mistakes and were stopping with the follow the leader game design. I legit wish I could cancel my MCC digital preorder and return my Xbone. I don't want to support this company that clearly has no fucking idea what their fanbase wants.

Sprint is the most worrying then here to me. The "ads" seems so instant I don't think it's ads so much as a new scope look. Though even that breaks the mantra of no screen clutter.
Regardless, until the beta is in my hot little hands, I'll stay neutral on all of this.

The user-base shifted. Also the Halo community progressively splintered over Halo 2 and 3 and they never managed to recover it. CoD just consumed so much time, Halo slowly drifted into the background. 343 would have to do something massive to pull fans back in. MCC must be that backup plan but its not fresh enough to drag in a new community.
Let's not let any shitty Halo 5 design decisions diminish hype for the MCC. The MCC is still going to be a great game.
ADS aren't modern, didn't MOH do them three generations ago.

At this point with COD fading slowly, BF mess, Destiny unknown. Halo had the chance to stand up tall but I think we're long overdue a new contender. Something that does the basics well with a great sandbox without the carrots and positive re-enforcement bs layers on top.

This is what I don't understand. They're doubling down on deicions that have already been proven to be poor ones. Halo 4's online population has been dwindling to pathetic numbers ever since it launched, whilst reaction to the return of classic Halo in the MCC has been enormously positive.
Who the fuck are they trying to appeal to here?

The only one I want. I have a PS4 and a PC, I bought an Xbone because it sounded like 343 learned their lesson.
Go buy Sunset Overdrive and/or Forza Horizon 2. Have some fun and you'll feel better about owning an Xbox.

I'm really surprised at how little these people know the industry. Hell, it's not even the video game industry, just business in general. The key to success with a sequel is to capitalize on what worked well beforehand. If you put out something your core audience likes, they'll buy it and others will follow through positive word of mouth. Since all these people like it, many will buy the DLC as well.
If you chase another audience, the core audience will hate the product, actively avoid it, and get others to do so. The audience you're chasing will drop your product and go back to theirs. After all, why buy an immitator when you can have the real deal? Then, DLC sales will be very low and the overall brand is tarnished.
They're thinking only about short term revenue gain. "Get all the sales in the first week. Who cares what our fans think? We're making money. " This ideology is what will kill Halo until somebody comes along and reboots it years down the line. The entire Xbox Brand might be at risk as well because of this.
This is the thing I still can't understand.
So glad I'm getting MCC for free now.
A few things though. So far the ADS looks aesthetic. Doesn't seem to slow you down to a crawl or anything like that. Doesn't seem to be a huge change to accuracy either. Seems like a new type of zoom. I can guarantee that we see a Left Trigger zoom come out of this though.

Was that one clip the only thing to leak? I'm willing to wait after my knee jerk reaction(I literally woke up to a text from my friend with a picture Halo ADS) and hope that it's fake ADS that functions the same as the old BR scope. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Because he still shoots with complete accuracy in hip fire mode. Because we don't know whether or not it affects movement speed.
