Is there anything I need to know before watching Rurouni Kenshin on Crunchyroll? Like is it a complete (and faithful) adaptation of the manga?
My friend watched through it and told me that it followed the manga rather closely until the end of the Kyoto arc which was ep 62 as the manga wasn't finished yet, and continued on a long anime original arc. It was a good twist on their own delicate-little-sister-on-weelchair trope. That scene seems to be glorious.

disappointing. OK they have Ranko and Anzu and Anastasia, but no Syoko, Mirei, or Koume! Need some crazy cuties in the mix!

The hell is this? I see zero instances of Mayu, Sachiko, Syoko or Koume, despite them being in the key visuals. Even a hint of Momoka would've been something. If you listen carefully you can actually hear my hype deflating.

The fight scenes and effects are awesome. Rin is pretty likable. Archer is bad ass.
If I get this right there are multiple families with "Master/Mage" roles that fight for this Holy Grail with summoned Servants? Weird how they never showed the redhead student's face, maybe he's also a Master. We've seen three Servants so far, I wonder how many there are all together.
Obviously since Archer got the most screentime he's the one I'm rooting for for now. I enjoyed this way more than I expected.

Can't say I agree. I wasn't expecting Moyashimon since the concept is so different, but I thought the manga was alright. Slow at first with the conflict picking up later on. That said, the anime should cut some of the down time since I doubt it will have more than 1 cour.
Looks nice. Music is good too.

Wow Tamako and Mochizou together is the cutest thing ever. Tamako Love Story definitely is the best KyoAni movie they made, I cried a lot. Quite an uplifting and motivating film filled with cool camera works for an animated feature.

I really miss that show. It wasnt anything special or KyoAni's best work but I miss its charm.
From the moment the first key visual was revealed, Rolling Girls was giving me Zvezda vibes, and that holds even truer with the first preview. Since each prefecture is its own city-state here, the usage of "local heroes" may take on an entirely new meaning.

We love to joke about it, "it's so bad it's good", etc, but at the end of the day it's one that I wait the most every week.
Mushishi, Parasyte? Good series!, but they don't have the same punch for me, as I read their mangas a few yeas before. There is no novelty for me, so there no craving to know the next bit of plot.
Your lie in April? It kinds of annoys me with the melodrama and the predictability.
Fate UBW? Nope, very good fights, but I'm not liking the characters or the writing, which is more in the category of bad and boring, and not bad and entertaining.
Bahamut is the only other good one that it's new and interesting, and even then it's going to a predictable path, following closely the genre it belongs, adventure, so fighting the big bad evil approaching (the dragon), the main characters solving their difference on their journey, etc. And every time the narration focus on the 3d dragon bores me, it isn't getting to transmit the correct feeling of danger or doom. It's just an ugly 3d dragon.
I think the lesson here is how real unpredictability can make enjoyable hot garbage.
I didn't predict Ange being a Norma in the first episode (as I started it without knowing shit about the series), I didn't predict she causing the death of the sergeant, I didn't predict she being lost in an island and finding Kira Yamato in it, nor I predicted him being in contact with the boss, and I didn't predict this being a trap by a BDSM wheelchair imouto.
At times they aren't though. They sometimes become really sharp and angular.

Liked this a lot but hated the ending of the movie. I hate all these endings where the thing you want to see happen is literally the last scene and theres nothing afterwards. Just credits. Really pisses me off.
