Upcoming Vita games (OVER 150 games with screens inside!) L@@K

Criminal Girls discussion is banned on GAF, if you want more info on the game you probably should ask elsewhere or risk having the thread locked.

That's the first time I hear that, but after a quick search I can see why. That's that, I guess.

I'm no interested in PSP games :/
I guess I'll need a memory card with at least 64 GB?

There are some great jrps available to download from PSP / PSOne Classics. Also I don't know if you can go beyond 64 GB in size (unless you buy multiple 64 GB cards lol), it's already extremely pricey.

If you're going to be downloading the games off ps store instead of buying carts, then yes... 64gb is recommended. Even if you are buying carts, yes.

Also Soul Sacrifice Delta is on sale this week for less than <$15 ( Europe also). It's a great game to start out with.

So it turns out that 'Best of Arcade Games' Vita game actually is a thing, and it's out now. But like most titles published by Bigben Interactive... only in Germany! It's so obscure I don't think it even got a PSN release, just retail.

Can't find any actual Vita screenshots, but it seems to be a port of the 3DS version. This might go down as one of the weirder physical releases in the system's lifespan. =x

argh, this website

I could understand if 'indie' was shorthand for bad games, but it ain't. If anything, it's shorthand for 'this game will fucking rock on Vita'. I'm looking at you, Rogue Legacy. Fez, you too. And Hotline Miami. Luftrausers, don't think I forgot you.

Completely tangential, but after playing it for several days in a row in airplane mode (which is itself a bit of a mess as the game just leaves the autosave icon up *the entire fucking time*), Rogue Legacy would refuse to boot for me regardless of network configuration. Was just sitting at splash screen and never animating/advancing. Could launch other apps, kill RL and try to relaunch it, etc., but RL itself would never advance. So hard reset the Vita, try to launch it again, get 'The data is corrupt. (C2-10362-2).' 'Could not prepare the application to start.' Oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck. Have to kill the app *again* since the second dialog is not skippable or closeable or interactable in any way. Then finally it loads my save data and seems to be okay... seems to be...

As a console dev myself, pretty shocking to see TRC such a mess. It will be a great game as long as it doesn't delete my savegame...

Awesome job as always.

Many thanks to you Valkyria :)!

Thanks fady

Thanks a lot namDa65 ;D Hope you enjoy today's update!

Cheers Fady!

You are always kind redcrayon, God bless you for the kind words :)

In NA, I believe so but that picture shows that it was planned and canned. (Thanks Walmart CA)

In EU and Asia, they're releasing retail Vita.

It was planned indeed as far as I know, not sure why it was canned. Guessing they don't believe in the Vita much from a retail point of view.

I didn't expect to like it so much either. But I'm glad I do.

Isaac is absolutely fantastic. If you ever played the original, Rebirth is better in every way. If you don't mind the aesthetic
(lots of religious and anti-religious tones, and blood and shit everywhere)
it's an amazing game. If you like contemporary roguelikes, Isaac is definitely the best of them. Infinitely replayable and super addictive.

Great Edo Blacksmith looks really cool. So does the new Sword Art game, though I haven't played enough of Hollow Fragment as it stands. I can hardly believe there's till such a steady stream of announcements.

Oh no, why are you banned Ahzrei? Hope to see you back here soon mate.

By now you may have gotten through both Corpse Party games, I hope you ended up enjoying both! Though I am religious myself I don't take offense from such content in videogames, hence I look forward to giving BoI a spin! Looks so different.

I wonder if Nippon Ichi will be daring enough and localize Great Edo Blacksmith. The Sword Art game should hit in English I believe!

Does anyone (Fady) know the status of "Home"'s Euro for the vita (the indie game, not the PS3 virtual sandbox). It was released in America a couple of weeks back but its still not up in Europe and I can' find any info about it anywhere :( I was really looking forward to giving it a shot as well as I enjoyed the PC version and I'd love to have it on my Vita.

Hey there Shadowman16, sorry for the insanely late reply but did Home come out yet on EU stores? It was announced at the same period as the NA version so I expect it to have been released by now.

Beamdog said they have a vita devkit and will look at potentially bringing Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale to vita.

http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/2msl96/we_are_beamdog_developers_of_baldurs_gate_i_ii/cm7ik7b

This is sweet news, I really hope they end up developing for it!!!

Get a slim or another OLED and sell the one with the issue. If you are ocd you will not enjoy correctly the amazing games vita has and will have.

Fantasy hero is my cup of tea , visually appealing and an action jrpg. It will be nice if we get it on na as a retail release.

Fantasy Hero will be coming out tomorrow btw :D

Thank you Fady K

i'm trying to stay level headed about this zeld esc title

this is a day one for me

You are most welcome @Wreck :) Did you end up playing it? User reviews seem pretty good!

Yo, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2 is out January 27th retail & digital.

Awesome, thanks for the info themagicalkitsune :)

Recently picked up a vita and found this thread. Keep up the good work. Sucks its kinda hard to find this thread tho.

Thanks Smo21! Glad you're liking it. Stay tuned for today's updates :) Funny enough the thread become more active when it moved to community. Not sure why it was moved here though.

Looks like Criminal Girls went live for pre-order in US
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PU6W3SG/?tag=neogaf0e-20

Sony being aggressive with their price on standalone
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PV515DU/?tag=neogaf0e-20

it sells around $180 standalone in Asia, not to mention it's the same price as the borderlands bundle. is there any reason why one would pick this over that?

Thanks baekshi, I'll include it in today's update for those who missed it. Never though Nippon Ichi would bring this over back then.

Hmm how's that Criminal Girls game? Looks like a pleasant top-down turn-based RPG but I find those "sexual" minigames awkward as all hell and tend to avoid them.

Also, they absolutely need to release Chaos Rings III in the west. :(

Agreed, especially with the chaos rings games being available in English already anyway!

Never thought this would be Vita-bound haha. Why not? Loving the variety in the Vita :D

final title is kantai collection kai for vita
http://yusaani.com/special/ゲームその他/2014/11/25/49238/
http://www.famitsu.com/news/201411/25066395.html

Also they have unannounced two project for PS platform, one is sprg and other is drpg.
I'm assuming one must be on Vita.

Thanks maouvin :) Will use for the update today :D

I wonder how this will do as a F2P game. Looks pretty cool.

Oh man, what a nice find Korialstrasz :D Where on Earth did you find out about this? Looks really cool!!

So is the Vita worth it? I'd love to play some JRPG's but I'm in europe....do we get all those games?

Definitely worth it :D Plenty of stuff to get. Many of us here will be happy to recommend a lot of stuff for you with pics and vids if need be :D

This one's only hitting Germany Infernal Monkey :0? That's odd indeed!

Any word on helldivers or risk of rain?

Feels like it's been forever.

Helldivers received an age rating soon and will be at the PSX in a few days (playstation experience event). No updates on Risk of Rain yet, but keep the faith: most Vita games get release dates a few weeks before actual release.

Hello there fellas, can't believe we're at December already. This time of the year is usually slow for gamers (releases wise), but fret not, there's much to look forward to, and with the Playstation Experience a few days from now, maybe we'll have a few great additions to the thread with more new games to look forward to.

Enjoy the update and wishing you all a beautiful day ahead.

Where did that Poncho come from? It looks very good, the concept is basically the same as Knytt Underground and I loved that.
From Punk&Lizard:
There are no levels in Poncho. You wake up in the centre of the game, and choose to go any way you want. With no hand holding to tell you where to go, it’s up to you to choose the right path. The Maker is out there somewhere… You can interact with every little creature and every area is filled with randomly generated ecosystems of creatures, all co-existing and reacting to every movement Poncho makes.

aaaand it's in the wishlist.

As usual, thank you Fady K!

Oh man, what a nice find Korialstrasz :D Where on Earth did you find out about this? Looks really cool!!

I saw it on reddit TBH. It's was a Kickstarter project that failed to reach its £22k goal (Vita/PS4 stretch goal was set at 30k). Apparently some publisher decided to give them the money they needed to finish the game. There is an alpha demo in the kickstarter page (Win/Mac/Linux/Ouya) but I didn't try it.

I don't know when can the west get SW4-2, I mean it just came out here last month.

But knowing that there is a "sequel" for it it's really making me wanna wait for it instead.

I hope Koei doesn't pull a mixjoy on Vita digital games I ain't got 6.5+GB of space for two same games.

Granted if SW4-2 ever comes out to the west.....

They literally don't give a fuck about putting physical Atelier games either, just let NISA put it out if you don't want to. The first two if I correctly remember were stealthy released, no one knew it was even coming out that day besides the rating I think so they sucided the game by themselves. Also not even one in physical game to test out the market for it.
Also i think after releasing doing DW8 and Deception one week apart from each other, they probably got burnt out.

I doubt they'll do Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 for Vita or 3DS. Maybe they will since do the Vita version since the SW4 dlc is compatible with that game.

SW Chronicles only had the first game released when the 3DS launched, and it performed poorly in sales and ratings IIRC.

I don't even know if I want to touch the Atelier games, it seems like all the games are connected. I'd love to buy Escha and Logy on Vita if it ever hits west.

Also I dream of God Eater 2 western release every time I play Freedom Wars.

Atelier games are toó big. I Need physical release of At least one of them so i can try it. My memory doesnt have enough space and i dont want to delete anything. The only reason why i did not buy any of the atelier Gales is space. I wiah o could find a 64 Gb memory card un my country of import
them but i cant ( im in argentina)

This is very likely given the PS4 version.

Yuki Yuna looks surprisingly playable action game but I really hope those small enemies isn't what the game only has... low expectations still.
http://gematsu.com/2014/12/yuna-yuki-hero-memory-forest-tv-spot-shows-first-gameplay

Looks like it plays similar to the Madoka game, but with cinematic specials and a focus on hand-to-hand combat.

If anything it seems to be a reskin of Furyu's last anime licensed Vita game, To Love-Ru: Battle Ecstasy. Just... without all the ecchi stuff~

Which might be okay, To Love-Ru was a pretty decent beat 'em up. It did suffer from a lack of enemy variety though, and the levels were way too long.

If that's the case it's going to be an even bigger let-down for me than FF type 0.

Since God Eater 2 has a Vita release, not releasing it on Vita but releasing the PS4 version is just plain mean.

no, no. The vita version I think is just as likely to be localized. The reason either one is so likely to be localized is that the PS4 version will sell way better in the west than in Japan. Once they have an english localization, it'll definitely be applied to both versions.

But you know, God Eater was never localized here until the Burst... I still have doubts on BN, they might skip Vita like they have done before and released only PS3 version (One Piece, and Dynasty Gundam comes to mind). Or do only a digital release.

Yeah, it's certainly a possibility, but since the Vita already has the MH-like fans, I'd wager we get it. We'll see, I suppose.

Yeah i know i can do that but i prefer to stick as many games as i can in my memory card . and the game is like 3 Gb or so . is a shame no physical versión was released on the west . even a límited one will work For me. Atelier games are available For me when i get a 64gb memory.

There's so much stuff I'm looking forward to next year. Axiom Verge, Cosmic Star Heroine, Liege, Dragon Fin Soup, Project Phoenix and Hyper Light Drifter all look great on the indie side of things, but Ys 8 is probably the biggest title for me.

I'm thinking of buying a Vita purely to play the classic ps1 games i played growing up then of course some vita games if there are some i find.

I'm literally clueless to how they work (Xbox only guy here since the ps2)

Is the whole PS1 backlog on the store to buy and play? Eg FF7/8, MGS etc?

Depends where you live, but there's a huge amount of them, certainly the FF games.

My particular PS1 favourites of FFVII, FFIX, Front Mission 3, Grandia, RE2 and Castlevania: SOTN are all there.

What you can't do is select a category for them- you have to search for them individually. Why not look at the SEN online store, check if your faves are available to download for Vita in your region, and let us know? :)
