Capcom has just registered 'Dragon's Dogma Online' trademark in Europe [and Japan]

Never heard a single player game + coop online have "Online" on its title. It's going to be MMO ala Dragon Nest.

Eh, but I also want to believe that it will be single player game + coop.

One word has people freaking out. Jeez we don't even know what kind of game it is aside from the name, no need for all of the negative reactions.

I have a bad feeling about this. I certainly hope the non-stop echo of co-op doesn't take away the Pawn System at all but rather find a way to compliment it. I was totally fine with my Pawn and hiring my friends pawns.

How would it even be Dragon's Dogma without pawns?

Ugh, online :( Why must it be online :( I really hope this is just a rebranded Deep Down and the a proper Dogma is still on the table as well.

My problem with the deep down theory is that deep down seems like a completely different base game

Im not see a lot of connecting threads outside of how it looks

Nooooooooooo! NO!

You're breaking my heart!

This gen sucks arse, online rammed up the wazoo. This is bound to be true and online only, it's the apparent model to success now because some rich sloth pays £10K for boots with a Cuban heel for their character. Except he only does it for certain games, so the majority fail yet no one in charge sees that.

Tread softly Capcom because you tread on my dreams.

honestly if this is dragons dogma: dark arisen dungeon crawling w real randomization and lots more variation but with 4player co-op edition im super down because that's one of the ways that the game could go that seemed interesting

at the same time it's capcom so uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hm

plus it seems like itd overlap with deep down in concept so yeah idk. weird thing to speculate on

Man, i'm glad they are giving it a second chance but i don't like the sound of it...never liked f2p or mmo style games

This can't be all... very sad if that's the case. F2P and online only, might as well be Overwatch in my mind, a game I won't care about or follow.

Who knows? I was thinking you'd still have your main pawn but hired pawns would be actual players. If you wanted to go to someone's world and help them with quests, you'd go as your own personal pawn rather than your Arisen. I'm sure that would be okay but I sort of liked the experience being single-player only.

It's gonna be a F2P social browser RPG isn't it? This world never cease to disappoint me and this might be the next one.

Oh shit- imagine if it's optional co-op with your friends' character-

2 players - 2 characters and 2 pawns
3 players - 3 characters and host's pawns
players - 4 characters only.

It's essentially both an MMO party dungeon monster hunter @_@

One cool idea is to have the pawns as micro-DLC. You can buy a pawn for a set price, or if you're low on cash - rent the pawn for a day.

yeah this is my hopeful guess since it wouldn't really conflict with deep down. dragons dogma 2 with an online component that's labeled differently in the same vein 'metal gear online' is differently labeled from 'metal gear 5' or 'metal gear 3/'

Hahahaha.

Would make sense to rename Deep Down -> Dragons Dogma (Online), same starting letters and all.

Couldn't care less, personally. They both are completely unappealing to me.

Deep Down doesn't have climbing elements, HUGE difference. Plus it looks like they're taking the Souls' style of magic use.

Not to mention Deep Down have no female characters.

I hope it's like Monster Hunter ... heard nothing but good things about DD but never got around to playing it.

But seriously, this is how I feel with most game announcements these days:

What made Dragon Dogma was the combat, if it keeps the same combat as from the Deep down trailers than it is nothing more than a cash grab.
