Seriously, that case screwed with me so much. My old-favourite character was killed by my new-favourite character, and then I had to kill her. I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO FEEL.

Huh, I've been wondering about this. Do you guys hate a character just because they killed someone you liked? Like, Celes was behind Ishimaru's murder and Fuyuhiko was behind Mahiru's, yet they are some of my favorite characters.

After Mikan killed Ibuki, the only thing I wanted was to fucking annihilate her. It's the most bloodthirsty I think I've ever been with regards to a character. :lol

I was mostly just disappointed that Mikan's punishment wasn't worse.

The only murders that made me think less of the perpetrator were the first three in the first game, all of which involve them being a dumbass or unnecessarily cruel.

While not a whole lot of the other killers have outright sympathetic motives, most of them at least make some kind of sense.

I think Celeste's reason is the 2nd best one, just below Naegi's. At least she doesn't try to justify yesterday with any "I NEEDED TO DO IT" bs, she just goes "I wanted the money".

It's implied he might be dead for real due to his illness. IIRC, there's also no kind of message when you check his cottage, unlike the rest of the dead cast.

Basically another semi-confirmation, further cementing DR3's inevitability. My guess is 2015 is when it'll be announced.

We might get it if NIS survives its fight against Bloodborne, heh... We'd probably get it regardless of their fate, though.

I think DR is a popular enough series within its niche here that a lot of companies would desire it. I'm thinking of Aksys, Atlus or maybe Marvelous USA.

I imagine the worse scenario is if NIS/NISA goes down after AE gets announced, since that puts a halt on everything. Contacts will have to be redrawn, reworked, hell maybe the localization will have to start anew.

If they go down before then, it's basically whoever wants to localize it and Spike Chunsoft is willing to go with them since it's not like NISA has the license to everything Danganronpa, just probably first choice.

Wow, every time I read this question and theory I only thought of the cottages thing, so I said to myself "Well, his dying message is in the laptop so there's no need to say something with his cottage. I don't get why this means he's dead." But now that you mention it, you're right! He's the only who doesn't show up with all the other dead students before entering Hope's Peak Academy. D:

I think DR's western status is absolutely fine. DR:AE's going to come out and so is this future DR game. I guess the question is whether DR:AE is localized in 2015 or if it's affected by NISA's status, but I'm confident that things will work themselves out.

Not sure, since this series is so spoiler heavy. Posting an image of a figure could be a major spoiler in itself. I think it's either we do not allow any open spoilers and have them properly labeled (which could cause a lot of black bars throughout the thread), or we allow all spoilers, which means anything DR related, including stuff that's not even out here like DR:AE or DR0.

There's the option for something in-between like allowing some open spoilers and not allowing others, but I have a feeling that policy would quickly dissolve when people inevitably post things that they shouldn't. It'd be the best option if people abided by it, though.

I'm not sure community OTs follow the individual game OT rule of Gaming > Community. I think it's straight to Community, but I'm not sure.

Not reading this. But did Prologue and and in the beginning of Chapter 1 and holy shit, its insane up in here. My insane theory:

We got four giant robots. Everyone either looks the closely to other characters or acts like other characters. Think this is either some reality game or alternate dimension where everyone is secretly someone from the first game. Can't remember much names but everyone is acting, sounding, or looking too much like other characters. Some of them, like the swimmer/gymnist look and act the same while others mix the look and act like another character. The Swordwoman has gotta Kyoko, moon looking hair kid dancer acts like Genocider with a but of Fukawa and the sprite looks like Junko while also has pins that could change to Manokuma like Junko while its in the body of Chihiro, the same face.. Chef is fanfic writer, main character looks like makoto, of course rich kid is back but someone else was kinda also acting like rich kid. But I can't remember who. Princess is Sayaka. Maybe Musician is Celeste. Few others I noticed but so many..."new" characters to remember. Are these really the same characters? Or am I going crazy and only like one or two are from the first game and the characters are actually new characters. I don't know what to believe, its an insane plotwist for them all to return but theres too much deja vu up in here.

I will report back once I beat the game. I just had to make this pist tofeel vindicated that I got it right, or completely look like a fool for being stupid...no, something has to be going on with these.
