Top 3 easily, but I don't know if I'd call it #1.

I agree with him. Winter Soldier was pretty damn close though. Guardians was ok, hated the end.

As for FF, I have no interest in this film at all. I'm surprised there hasn't been some kind of trailer though, isn't it out this summer?

Tigerdroppings sole purpose is to watch drunken cajuns rant about Les Miles after LSU loses, it is not to spread film production rumors.

Though it was filmed in Baton Rouge...

Maybe that's what you do in Baton Rouge when not intoxicated and frothing mad at Les Miles?

Zero chance it dies, the FF/Marvel issues existed long before this film does. The "Trank may have killed his career" stuff is the only interesting part.

The "does this even get released?" stuff is from during production.

Reads like FUD from one of the many, many people with a hate-boner for this film. But you never know.

That is EXACTLY what it sounds like. This is the type of stuff you get when sources are a kid on youtube in front of a Spider-Man poster and message board posters.

Is this a weird revival of those BleedingCool rumors a while back that Fox was desperately seeking someone to take over the movie shortly before filming started?

It seems like every non-Marvel Studios IP is being met with this sort of shit. Same thing with Spiderman. Feels like fanboys think they can somehow will the rights back to Marvel with pure hate.

To be fair, the names in the thread do check out with those producing the movie. Otherwise I wouldn't even both with that link.

As someone attending LSU it's still scary lol. But I heard this stuff about a month ago make the rounds and I honestly believed it. I mean if it was gonna happen to any movie it was gonna be this one.

Those aren't real sources. A random youtube video and no-name message board. Alright then.

Yup.

And this is two weeks old with nobody else in that space of time reporting on it.

I thought I saw that they finished filming not long ago?

Edit: Production was done back in August.

There's this, too.

My only red flag for this piece of shit is that filming wrapped a bit back and we still have seen nothing.
Yet we have seen teasers for Avengers, Ant Man, we have seen more from Star Wars and Supes/Batman than we have seen or heard from this.

I think the key to Fantastic Four is having a Reed/Sue relationship be a May/September thing. If they don't nail that dynamic, they miss the mark. It's never been about the powers (if it was, we could just accept that The Incredibles is basically Fantastic Four) - its always been about those relationships.

This is the main thing that concerns me. We should have gotten at least a classification for the trailer. Granted, we didn't get the first GotG trailer until mid or late February last year, but we should have heard rumblings of a trailer by now.

At least you can talk. Who are you?

I know this is a stretch, purely to accommodate the rumour, but since a sequel is already lined up, wouldn't it be cost effective to save some of the production shit for the sequel, and Trank destroyed that shit?

Ha! We should be so lucky.

This movie looked like a turd from the outset.

It would be quite fortuitous if it died.

Talk about an auspicious turn of events! Doubt it is true though.

A lot of movies have a sequel lined up before the first one is out, especially comic book movies.

- No poster
- No official production stills
- No trailer
- Releases this Summer
- Hobo looking blogger D00m

I think it's rational to worry about this film. These rumours sound kinda crazy, though.

Why haven't we seen a trailer for The Man from UNCLE yet? That finished shooting like a year ago and comes out in August. Was there reefer on set?!

I know some people here are tired of the drama and "Studio begging" but this is somewhat exciting news. The sooner the F4 is out of Fox's hands, the better.

If true then I feel really sorry for Trank. The project was probably too big for him and the pressure must have took its toll.

Doesn't the movie have to be released for Fox to retain the rights?

I don't believe so. I think they need to have a film in some state of development every couple of years or so.

That being said, I don't believe this rumour since filming already wrapped.

This is one of the most hilarious reasons to cancel a $100m+ movie I have ever seen so I really wish it's true.

Disappointing if true. Not that I give two shits about FF, but because of the implications for future Trank movies.

Chronicle was pretty great for what it was, and I was looking forward to interesting works from him.

Didn't they hire him solely for the fact that he makes cheap movies? At least that's what I thought. "Make Fantastic Four for nothing, please thanks". I could see why a director wouldn't give a fuck.

Just give Fantastic Four back to Marvel. It's more trouble than it's worth for FOX.

If these rumors are true, it would make sense for Disney to kick Trank off from directing any Star Wars film if he really fucked up the FF.

So like, the rumor is that Josh Trank was behaving badly on set several months ago and that it was so bad that Fox might write off the entire investment? I guess that's why they had a trailer house working on trailers and marketing materials in the fall. Only well into post-production and marketing prep did they realize that on-set behavior made the whole thing fruitless.

This is stupid.

The movie is probably still shit, but this is stupid.
