I love this ship so much. A cool thing that Crytek and CIG doing is actually further improving the Bokeh for near FOV rendering, both CR and Crytek have mentioned it.

Jim2point, can you perhaps tell me how you are doing the values for the Reshade DoF? Specifically the near FoV stuff?

The quality of DOF that they have when you ADS with the pistol is quite astounding, though it does drop my fps by about 40%

Thanks for posting these. I totally forgot I even owned this game. I remember trying to play it a few years back but performance was awful. I reinstalled it last night and had everything maxed out at 2560x1080 and it ran smooth as butter. I'm surprised at how well it holds up graphically plus their native widescreen support. I'm particularly impressed with the quality, and subtlety, of their depth of field and motion blur implementations. At first glance I thought you were forcing DoF through ReShade but now I see it's built in. I might try tweaking color and lighting with ReShade now that it supports OpenGL.
 
The possibilities with ReShade + MasterEffect ReBorn are fucking phenomenal! Had jaw-dropping moments when tweaking and taking these. Looks insane in motion.

Why shi**y game like this have godamit so brilliant tools and others don't? Just testing Cinematic tools and I absolutely love it. Maybe only reason to play that game=D

ReShade results look dazzling. Seems like the perfect excuse to fill up the hard drive with older titles again, and to revisit some favorites. Ability to inject DoF in particular seems immensively impressive.

I'd like to see a separate thread of just old games running with ReShade. I've been experimenting with System Shock 2 and it looks a lot better with some DoF. Unfortunately there's a depth buffer problem when you're holding a weapon.
 
Well, I think it's fair to say that ReShade is ground-breaking. It's a shame most of the more complex shaders don't work with Unity, but you can still do interesting things with the bloom, DPX and a few more bits and pieces.

Is there a way to have autofocus on and not have the dof disappear or blur the entire image when you are outside in a game (how does that even work on a technical level)?

All ReShade dofs fail if the sky is visible and autofocus enabled?
