Irina (that's what the page has as her Romanized name) served under Elma's in the Doll Corps on earth and even though she is now in B.L.A.D.E. she still respects and follows her.

Van Damme is the commanding officer of B.L.A.D.E.

Does anyone want full translations of all the character profiles? I can do them if so.

Could you please? Thanks.

They should give you the option to use the character editor to fix all these female NPC's... sheesh.

It's not like this game has pre-rendered cut-scenes anyway... that would actually be kind of a cool feature for games in general.

Alright, done. :)

Elma (Houko Kuwashima)
Team Leader of the mercenary group 'B.L.A.D.E.'.
She's a calm person with acute decision-making power and insight and is thus respected by her team's members.
On Earth, she was colonel of the General Government's Special Vehicle Operations Corps (known as the 'Doll Corps')

Lynlee Ku (Maria Ise)
Mechanic for and member of the mercenary group 'B.L.A.D.E.'.
Despite her age, she's an expert at mechanical engineering and, being a child prodigy, was involved in the development of the battle robots known as 'Dolls'.
She has a bright personality and interacts with everyone without prejudice.

Tatsu (Daisuke Sakaguchi)
A member of the Nopon race, you meet up Tatsu on the planet Mira.
He comes under the player's care, after a chance meeting.
He appears to be innocent and naive, as though he's not thinking much, but occasionally will say something very perceptive.

Irina (Nao Takamori)
Belongs to the mercenary group 'B.L.A.D.E.'. Back on Earth, she was in the General Government's Special Vehicle Operations Corps (known as the 'Doll Corps'), where she served under Elma.
Now in B.L.A.D.E., she still adores and respects Elma. She has a strong-minded and frank personality, but is committed to her duty of protecting the people living on Mira.

Van Damme (Tessho Genda)
The commanding officer of the B.L.A.D.E. mercenary group.
Previously, he worked as the Chief Engineer on the emergency emigration ship 'The White Whale'.
He's broadminded, arrogant towards everyone, and has a sharp tongue, but these are his ownly flaws.

Nice translation! Thanks Streets! :)

Interesting that Tatsu and the Nopons are species from Mira. So this already debunks the theory that Xenoblade Chronicles' world was Earth, whoever made that :p

Could be the Nopon are an ancient race that once traveled the cosmos.

I don't think it necessarily means that the species is 'from' Mira, just that you meet him there.

EDIT: I changed the wording a little to make it less ambiguous.

...Fix what exactly? Elma, Lynlee and Irina look fine (I mean, their designs are great). Did people complain so much about the models in the original Xenoblade too?

Masked Man

I said wow
Still convinced that Tatsu is secretly the same Tatsu from Xenoblade Chronicles
even though they look completely different
. :p

That's true. After seeing the edited translation, maybe I'm wrong :p He could be a wandering Nopon that was also a citizen of the colony.

Guess the only thing we need to find out is whether the colony that crashed to Mira had Nopons in it or not.

He just means the eyes. The outfits are fine.

The eyes weren't quite as large in Xenoblade which is why people didn't really complain.
(They complained about the low-res...ness)

New tweets:

Sorry, was out for a jog. My take, running them all together:

[Kawabata] So, no one even told me actually, but it seems like we have plans to update the official site each week...Wonder if we'll be ok? But Mr. Nomura and the staff in charge of the site are fully motivated, so I'm sure they'll work hard for you guys.

We're also unveiling those kind people who've lent us their voices along with the character profiles. We have an outstanding cast for this game, so I hope you all look forward to hearing them. Since there was a huge amount of text, recording was quite an ordeal, but each of the cast members remained professional at all times. And, of course, the end result is perfection.

You know, you really have no need to apologise (as you know). Nobody here can make any demands on you. You (Duckroll and the others) are translating all this for free, spending your own time, and we all appreciate it a lot.

Thank you very much.

Ok, just updated the OP with all the website info. Was planning to have a dedicated thread, but I thought that having two concurrent threads just for Xenoblade Chronicles X would be too much. But I think I'm soon going to run out of space, ha ha.

What do you think duckroll, should we have a separate thread for the website stuff? I mean the regular stuff, like character profiles and such.

Any chance Duckroll/Mods have the ability to insert/move a post below your OP? If not might wanna make an all encompassing information thread and take over the first 2 or so posts.

I think what I can do is to take a post made shortly before the thread went up, like for example this one, and merge it into this thread. Then that would become the first post, and there would be two posts by the thread creator at the front of the thread. Then L~A will have twice as much space.

Lemme know if that's preferable.

It's great that we get so much information that there is need for more OP posts. I'm looking forward to this weekly website update. the ones that we got until now were pretty consistent.

I actually like the characters that they showed until now. The only one I dislike is the playable one and that's customizable.

Sorry for the late reply.

I think that's the best option, yeah. I was actually wondering if there was an option to add more posts below the OP, so if there's one it's all good.

I think having the OP dedicated to Tweets and the second post to website updates is a good idea (with the latest of both still in the OP). That's what I planning to do when the OP was full, by making a new thread and reserving the couple first posts.

I'll move everything over once you've merged the post you mentionned.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
FYI, it seems that a cancelled tweet had Kawabata explaining how Van Damme is going to have a specific theme every time he comes in a scene. There was also an audiofile there, I obtained to save it, and I just uploaded on YouTube. Go and see it before Nintendo ninjas cancel it!

Sorry, I couldn't resist

I just re-watched the trailer form E3 and realized we see Irina a couple of times in it. Funny, I'd never given her a second thought.
I wonder if we'll get the male members of B.L.A.D.E. next week (widow's peak dude, blonde guy, and goat horns)?

Potentially 7-8 months of the game being out in Japan before it comes out in the west??

Time to sequester myself and move into a hermit's bunker.

Thank you! Elma is giving me a bit of a Mitsuru from P3 feel in demeanor, which is cool. Lynlee, Tatsu, and Irina all sound like good characters, too. As for Van Damme, he sounds a little too stereotypical at the moment, but hopefully the game will prove otherwise.

Yeah, there's actually lots of stuff they showed in previous trailers, but since they never talked about it afterwards we had no idea what it was all about.
