Treyarch teasing Zombies-related announcement at DICE?

My Idea for Zombies Standalone:

Release game for $60

-Game will launch with 2 Maps with a new story and cutscenes
-Every 2 weeks a new map or two (extra would be guest star map ala Call of the Dead) comes out for no additional cost until there are 12 maps
-These maps will vary in size from medium, large, and very large.
-No real campaign (wouldn't work)
-Mainstream more detailed easter egg in each map.

Treyarch is the best studio Activision has at this point in time i dare say. BO1 is one of my favorite games of last gen, and WAW was a pretty good game too. Didn't like BO2 as much, but they still have my trust to wait and see what they come up with

I can't go into detail lest I get assassinated lol.

Maybe if you tried more vague questions...

Why dont you just drop all the vague answers to the vague questions you can actually answer ahead of time and skip the guessing game, instead of teasing all of us poor suckers :(

I'm wondering if this is a tease for BO3 or a separate Zombies-exclusive project. If so, I hope it's budget priced.

there might be, it seems like its mostly gonna be about the influence of zombies.

I don't know where the hell this world at war 2 rumor started, it was never gonna be that. Wishful thinking I suppose.

It started early last year with a few different pictures coming out over the course of the year. Since that was all that was heard, it seemed the best conclusion to make

I doubt it will be zombies remastered, it would make the exo zombies update a waste of time since it would probably be out before BO3, unless that game isn't getting packed in zombies?

Knowing that they locked zombies into the DLC on AW and how crappy Activision have been with Destiny DLC, I'm gonna go ahead and say zombies will become a standalone game, and BO3 will only include SP/MP.
Treyarch zombies is 5000 better than tacked on exo zombies (Z. I. N. O. =zombies in name only) though so there is that.

I wouldn't mind if the whole campaign is zombie apocalypse.

How exactly would that work for MP?
I was just thinking campaign, my bad.

If they did go that route, hypothetically, it would just be the "Titainfall"=esque stuff.

Honestly, though, I'm just amped for the next generation of zombies. I'll be there for its multiplayer and campaign whatever the theme is, but it's zombies that's my main attraction this year.

Unless the whole game really is a sequel to WAW.

please.

AW sucked dick, worst CoD ever. Stop trying to be Titanfall.

Seriously! I don't get what is with wanting to be like TF. If COD's from here on are going to all be fly all over the place, futuristic games, I may finally be done with the series. Why can't we have another WWII COD or Maybe COD Vietman?

Is this going to be similar to a more traditional COD than, say, AW?
Well, every COD has retained the same basic core design gameplay wise, even AW with added exo-suits. With that said, for this year's you could expect gameplay to follow in the footsteps of some...rival publishers.

Oh God, WHY?! Why does every shooter now have to be a futuristic jetpack game now? This is like the issue we had some time back when every shooter had to be a WW2 game. Ugh! The Titanfall hype may be the worst thing to ever happen to war shooters, IMO.

poor COD cant catch a break, tries to evolve and still, i guess the only soloution is to go back to the beginning, i too wouldn't mind WW2, do you expect a take on the European front?

I didn't specify Titanfall, maybe, maybe not, but to be fair games like Advanced Warfare and this year's game were in development before TF was technically made public. They don't really get their design ideas from TF.

The final slap in the face for me was the exoskeleton powers being included in classic playlists. It's impossible to just play CoD as it had always been. Not even gonna bother with the list of other troubles with AW.

People knocked Ghosts but I enjoyed it far more than AW even with my IRL friends bailing from the series for BF4. At least it was a traditional Call of Duty game.

To be honest I would have preferred a straight up all zombies CoD. Make the campaign 4 player co-op, also have the dedicated zombies mode and of course the standard multiplayer options. A scorestreak that calls in a horde of zombies would be interesting.

More jumping around with mechs and stuff sounds lame especially after Titanfall and AW have just recently released. Was hoping Treyarch would be giving us something less stale.

The gameplay was perfect. The only thing that needed to evolve was the graphics and maybe adding more character features.

maybe it wont be exactly like titanfall but use gameplay with bots thrown in to create a more living battlefield maybe? big ass maps and all.

Well I hope it's just a fad and we can get back to present or historic shooters. Futuristic shooters are great and have their place, but I don't want it to be all we can get anymore.

I thought WAW was excellent in the European front. If anything, we need more Pacific Theatre.

maybe a balance of all 3 perhaps. there was a time of too much WW2 games, just like a time of too much modern conflict. maybe there needs to be a boom of future shooters to set the balance right.

They have three devs in the cycle. Why not have one do past, one present, one future? The perfect rotation.

that would be dope, id want treyarch on the future one, but thats just me

Agreed. But like I mentioned before, I'm afraid that at this point, there seems to be a stigma that if the game doesn't have people flying all over the place or mechs, that it is a step backwards in gameplay (which of course is absurd) and thus we will be stuck with nothing but futuristic installments from COD.

what else could be adressed in the pacific? i think they covered alot of the major conflicts on land, i guess they could do stuff with battle of midway.

That would be sweet. Hell, do the battle of the Aleutian Islands for all I care.

Predictions

Likely
Call of Duty Black Ops 3 - With the ending and the choices this is a safe bet to say that this call of duty just continue the story.

Probably
Call of Duty World at War 2 - this is connected to the ending of zombie map origin
the ending cut scene shows Eddie and Samantha playing with toys resembling pretty much every zombie map in existence
this cut scene look like it base in 1960.

Dream
Call of Duty Neon Genesis Evangelion

Yup... They finally move the gameplay forward and now people are complaining about it changing... Though if they don't change then they will chastise them for not changing.

Also... W@W2? How would that work? o_O

Plus we got W@W2 already... It's called Black Ops 1. :/ Only takes place 20 years later.

(In case some people didn't know Black Ops 1 and 2 take place in the same universe as W@W, even though it's obvious.)

I wouldn't mind a new WoW that focused on Asia, Europe and even some Africa)

I think you're worrying too much about the story making sense or being cannon. It's a MP game first and a single player game in a very, very distant second. lol

Different characters, different fronts. It can work no problem.

Though I must say the WAW trilogy>MW trilogy.

If Treyarch was smart they would give us W@W2 or Blops 1/2 remakes...fuck I really just want a COD game by the best, Treyarch.

That maybe true, but Treyarch has actually been very good with story in their games. Hell even Zombies has a pretty deep storyline.

Yup, the WAW trilogy was awesome. I love the MW trilogy, but I love the cast of characters in the WAW and how everything comes back around. I like how they don't really forget anything. Also I like
how each game moves in the timeline further but still shows how things effect everything.

(Hell even Woods surviving was revealed in Black Ops 1's terminal-like things.)

i for one apreciate the story continuity and time settings of the SP, hell the cold war era stuff what was drawing me to Black ops in the first place, to everyone it does seem to be that way understandably, but remember how much that bit Titanfall in the ass, just sayin
