Yeah, the fact the packaging is the same in Canada & US can be kind of confusing, considering EU has the "No. ##" in the corner & Japan has a Japanese SSB logo, so it's easier tho tell the difference between those.
So did mine. But ugh.... expected on the 9th :'(

Yeah, since this is an International thread it would be nice for people to post region as well when talking about things except for Amazon which you can tell region via .de,.ca,.com, etc.

As a Canadian I must say that this is not true in practice. Canadian posts went largely ignored here, and most of the discussion here was irrelevant because the release schedule for the two countries is different. The Canadian Amiibo thread is very much welcomed and useful.
Looks like I missed the UK order window. Now we wait for other countries (France, etc)
Don't think a separate thread is a good idea at all. So what if we post here "Wave X is up here ____ go go go!" and no one posts the same in the other thread? Or vice versa? It's pretty redundant to post the same info in both threads.
I would disagree that Canadian posters were ignored. People were constantly asking Canada Amiibo related questions with them being answered or reporting dates or people seeing Canadians scoring new Wave 3s without saying they were in Canada and people thinking it was in their home country.
I think we all need to remember that this thread does not include only people in the US or Canada, but so many countries in the entire world. Plus, what's next? A Europe thread that branches off to UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain threads?
I will agree that this thread may seem to be US centric, but I think that's for two reasons: most of those who post here are in the US and the horrible handling of Amiibo is at its worst in the US (with Canada coming in at a very close second).

This has been asked of people numerous times but honestly the thread goes so fast nobody even sees it.
It just sucks every few pages to have to repeat it and ask what region they are or calm down the people who think it was a US release, etc.

I tried yesterday and it eventually just forces you out of the order. It's pretty frustrating.
This is after attempting a store pick up for one claiming to have it. This was cancelled and that store's stock was updated to zero

I'm only looking for Meta Knight, Ness and Rosalina now. As in, I literally don't want any more Amiibo from any range. So, fingers crossed.

I have a feeling the difficulty in getting certain characters is only just begun. Doc, Duck Hunt, Dark Pit, Palutena, ROB and Game and Watch are all going to be pretty difficult to get, maybe even the most difficult figures yet, because we haven't quite had figures for the extremely niche characters yet. This is also ignoring the off chance Nintendo does some custom order ultra limited Mii fighters or something like that.
Of the unannounced characters, Mewtwo, ZSS, Greninja, Bowser Jr and Ganondorf probably won't be too hard to find. Everyone else though, yea... I'd be a little worried.
Too bad Doc is one of my favorite characters, so I'll be on the prowl. I also kind of wonder if he'll work like Mario in games outside of Smash, like Toon Link functions as Link in Hyrule Warriors.
I'll be at class for about an hour & see that 300 to 400 posts were made, so I have to skip about 5 to 7 pages.

I wouldn't say I lost my shit when Canada amiibro/gals left the thread. Just surprised is all.
What I think is super crazy is that the amiibo community has grown so much that there has to be threads that separate regions. Which is pretty dam if I think about it. Long live amiibos!!!!!

I firmly believe Meta Knight is just a myth.
Yeah, the main confusion seems to be over the content and 'the why' -- there's so much furious F5 and retailer phone calls going on around here b/c of the totally inconsistent and not-transparent releases that it would push this already fast thread to be flying by even faster and also lead to further confusion for US amiibo hunters.

Doesn't matter really. They'll either only have enough for preorders or sell out in minutes.
Best buy loves to have limited stock of exclusives and their amiibo section is shit anyways.
I had to wait outside at open to get their exclusive Guardians of the Galaxy steelbook and it sold out in minutes. That was only one of the highest profile movies of 2014.

Somebody yesterday said we should put tiny flags in the corner of our avatars. I kind of like that idea if it catches on as much as the amiibo sparkles have.
EDIT: The title box is also a good idea.
