Yes it is. I'd say it's one of the best. Entrenched veterans complaining about regressions really don't know what they're taking for granted.

edit: and while I hate the TopPlayerPrivelege argument in regards to Damdai, he had to play Mago twice due to the float, I don't think it's a guarantee he would've quickly been KOed otherwise.

Kaz just outplayed Marlin. Better character control and decision making. Marlin never got anything off of his knockdowns because Kaz chilled in block and Marlin never structured his strings for command grabs, which are where the big Zato damage comes from (and corner dusts). If Zato never goes for overheads or command grabs, and his opponent is patient, he has to perform extraordinarily well in the neutral to win.

Damdai would have made it out of losers. He was in loser's finals and ended up getting knocked out by Mago.
Mago was put in losers by Hiro so Mago would have made it through to winners.
Damdai wouldn't have done shit which would have changed the entire losers bracket because Mago won a shit load of matches in losers.
You're assuming they would have beat whoever they faced instead of Jeron

More that Arc will systematically go out of their way to undermine the health of the game. They'll announce a sequel/balance patch to a competing series, dick around for 6 months before having it release in the states, then the moment said competing series is about to come out in the US they'll announce an arcade update to Xrd which will require the console audience to purchase a new disc for a couple new characters and balance tweaks.

my assumption would just be scheduling as the exhibitions were supposed to be on saturday at like 10pm or whatever and that's when tekken ended instead of when marvel ended
there's probably just not enough time to do all of them and still run the full tourney since they've gotta pack up early for today so they can start packing up the actual tournament gear away from the venue
