It was a pain for me too, i was killing the mage first, huge mistake, when i killed the katana guy first , i found it pretty easy on the next stages.

I killed the doll.

I immediately turned off the console.

I'm right at the final boss -- but still, fuccccckkkkk me.

Does the doll come back?

The fuck!? She's dead -- but I can Channel Blood Echoes at her corpse? That's nuts!

Yep. When I was getting my ass kicked doing the same thing, I switched to the tactic. Much easier

To the person that asked. Was 82 when I finished. not sure if Im over or under or about right

So I had no choice but to use an online guide since I was so lost, and have just discovered that I missed an entire god damned castle. It's either the castle,
the city of cthulu monsters
, or the
nightmare frontier
. No matter what though, enemies in each of these areas are simply kicking my ass. At this point I have no idea what I'm gonna do next.

This right here is an issue with the PS4 controller. Probably the only one. If its not set down on a flat surface the triggers bump so easy. Twin wielding blades of mercy i've accidentally taken so many swipes at her. Haven't hit her yet (short range doing me good for once) but I sure I will or someone else important someday

Yeah, I'm right there with ya. A third area is tough as well related to those two so I'm just exploring and relaxing a bit. Won one hard battle earlier, no more crazy shit tonight.

Well I just accidentally killed an NPC. Mild spoilers I guess but I wish someone had told me about this -
in the nightmare lecture building keep an eye out for a spider in a dark room. It looks a lot like the regular spider enemies, don't kill it because it apparently gives you a 15% stamina rune.
Fuck this troll ass bullshit.

Anyways I finally got invaded. It was kinda anticlimactic, we both bowed and nobody healed. I R1'd him down with Tonitrus really fast.

It apparently had some eyeball creature that stacked my frenzy up to max in like 2 seconds and YOU DIED. I can get 500 frenzy res from armor and runes, but I hear it does more damage if you have high insight? I'm sitting at around 70...

I am with two of my buddies, and layer 2 we kept getting invisible enemies. No matter how close they are to me. I can only hear swords swinging. I died about 3x.

I think Beast Howl is good for PvP. Auto knockdown leads to good setups.

Lead Elixir. Makes all attacks deflect off you. It's like pre-nerf iron skin but you can still dodge. I've just been using Blades of Mercy transformed since it apparently stunlocks indefinitely.

As for guns, I don't know. The Blunderbuss is good for covering everything in front of you so you don't whiff shots as much in close range, but I prefer having the range of my Evelyn so I can parry people healing from long distances.

You talk to that NPC at the start of the dungeon.

Is frenzy completely bonkers or is there a way to mitigate it (outside of sedatives)?

The frenzy enemy in NF gave me more trouble than the boss

spider right when I killed Rom. It didn't give me the kill. I ran out of bolt paper.

isn't that bad once you figured out his pattern: stay away from him, so he does a triple strike combo, as the 3rd strike is about to land, jump towards him and strike him. the 2nd phase is much easier as he does a move where he throws his head on the ground and you can easily get one strike in and than jump back again. third phase is where it's at, haven't found a reliable method besides just knowing your i-frames and the moveset of the boss. in 3rd phase he does a strike from bottom upwards, after that you can jump slightly behind him and strike him there. don't go for the head in 3rd phase because he does a nasty electro attack which will one-hit you. but yeah, 3rd phase is really hard and probably not possible without having fought the boss dozens of time (so you get the muscle memory).

Well, after being stuck and online still not working no matter what I try (yes, I know about suspend/resume, still haven't been able to summon or be summoned), I just said fuck it and
duped a zillion echoes. Even though I went from level 50 to level 100, it really didn't make the game that much easier.

This game really has an alarming amount of enemies with instant, or extremely high damage grab attacks that take fucking forever to finish.

What's worse is I don't know if it'll carry over to NG+, so I don't even know if I want to keep going. Hopefully they keep in mind those who it already happened to and want to go back.

they are nasty but dumb in exploitable ways. If one is giving me a lot of trouble I just back up and charge up ludwig's R2. It staggers well and I can abuse terrain if I have to. I'd imagine anything else with long range would work.

other than that I parry a lot. But there are some npcs that are just ridiculous, fuck that shotgun guy.

Found a little hidden room on my way up to the Upper Cathedral Ward, when
taking the elevator there is an open window as it goes up, jump through and you can get a few items, a rune and a messenger thing.
