I just don't get it. Wouldn't it take more effort to port a last gen version of DOA instead of a current gen version, where a lot of the work regarding getting the game up and running n x64 and stuff has mostly been sorted out? it just seems so inefficient to use the previous gen version.

I'm pretty sure they actually "ported" the arcade version (which already was running on a PC hardware) ... and just bolted some stuff on top of it - that's why we get a few of the new features ... but nothing more .... still - doesn't make sense ... but hey - that's KT for ya

I would like to know that as well, I was under impression that porting PS3 games is a pain in asscreed, at least we were told this many times. And porting PS4 games is easy, because PS4 is basically your regular PC.
So, only thing I could think of, they don't want us to get access to "new gen" games on PC. What else can be there?

Osiris price dropped so fast and i really thought that we will see it on this pack. I hoped for Kane & Lynch Collection too. Oh well i will get Hitman Absolution Elite content that is +X for DLC count :D

P.S. I think that Squeenix did false advertising with this package. There is only Life is Strange on that image and they didn't mentioned Episode 1 at all on that image.

False advertising? How could it be false advertising if they are announcing what was in the egg after people can't buy it anymore?

Anyways, more games for me to gift away.

For you.

They said this surprise would have 5 games on it. I dont think that just one measly episode of life is strange qualifies as a "game".

Yep, I am always thinking the same when I read a PC port being gimped. I mean, you have one unified version on consoles (PS$/X1). Why go the extra effort to have a separate PC version which is different, ergo extra work/costs more?

One possibility could be that those PC versions are being ported not in-house and since the partnered studio won't be able to work in the same office, the originial studio just gives them the oldgen version in the start and let them do their business.

Sucks either way for us though as bad/gimped PC ports will sell worse (gamers are not stupid and content with getting bad versions after all) and pubs will think PC space is not profitable.

It all starts with some execs thinking it is fine to treat one camp bad.

The Hunter: Primal is now out of Early Access. Launch Trailer Here
Newest Update to coincide with release here

When I played it awhile back it had a lot of cool ideas, but was pretty rough around the edges. Will be trying tonight to see how much has changed.

So how come Nintendo didn't C&D this game yet?
They do own the trademark for Polarium, don't they?
I plan to play this, I assume you too?

Yeah, just 1 episode of an episodic game is weak, but I guess technically they're still right, since the first episode is sold by itself as a game on Steam. They could have put in a better discount for the season pass though.

I'm sad instead because I was hoping in one niche or old game, stuff like Pandemonium, since it's the kind of SE stuff I still don't have.

--------------------

I got Deception IV for PS3 today and it got me thinking how awesome it'd be to have this for PC. I could already picture the great port Tecmo would fire up for it.

VC1 is far better.

I still prefer VC2. Like vastly, I'm not even joking. I know I'm in the minority though. Really just preferred the smaller battles that let you play how you wanted. While VC1 you get funneled a few times into how to complete a mission. Story was better in VC1 but I prefer the class of VC2 character wise. Shame we never got 3.
