This video didn't work for me at all.
Even if they went for deliberately cheesy, it didn't work.
Not sure what the demographic is that there were trying to hit.
The Smash Invitational had a bunch of pro Melee, Brawl, and Project M players. The final was between one of the best Brawl players (and current Smash 4 Apex champion) and the best Jigglypuff player in Melee. They did a Smash tournament last year and that was really nice to watch even if they were all amateurs.
Oh man, this Gif is gonna get a lot of mileage.
So the digital event is happening at the same time as Square Enix's event?
Choose wisely.Digital Event is on June 16th at 9AM PT, so yeah at SE's time?

I don't see where it was implied that Mario Maker is THE flagship title of 2015. Because it can be demoed at Best Buy?Mario Maker is going to be their flagship title for 2015? L m a o
Its just a funny video, not much too it.
Seeing Reggie playing Donkey Kong Country made me hope we see a new DK game announced (either DK Returns 3 or Diddy Kong Racing 2).
There's only so many pre-show hours to use that have reasonable international viewing times.
If you ask me, Nintendo and Square-Enix should have, like, talked and Nintendo shouldn't be conflicting with a major third party's conference, but Nintendo gonna Nintendo.
you mean Square gonna Square
this is Nintendo's usual time slot

So much for a new Punch-Out! game.

Well the demographic of an E3 hype video boils down the absolute core of their fanbase so in that sense it's on point.Current Nintendo is so weird. They've gone from Blue Ocean strategy to focusing exclusively on a caricature of their core fanbase.
It worked for most of us.This video didn't work for me at all.

That doesn't mean that Mario Maker is the flagship title. It just means that Nintendo understands that Mario sells. The games they demoed at Best Buy were games that appealed to a large audience and they just happened to be the flagship titles. The games demoed at the last two BestBuy E3 demos were the flagship titles of that year: Mario 3D World (plus other games) and Smash for Wii U.
So, World Championship qualifiers on May 30th. Nice.

Tanner should've convinced Iwata there is a market for F-Zero while he still had a chance

This video feels way too much "we have to repeat 2014" imo.
So much for a new Punch-Out! game.

Yeah, I thought they would add a real press conference, but since it looks like that they have nothing big to show this year its better if they do that next year.
