This can't be right, Dragon age had locked 30fps (with no dips) in XB1.
So the game looks better on one console than the other. But not really. Or maybe a little.
DA on ps4 was higher resolution and featured a bit of extra tessellation. That's why it likely drops in comparison. The XO would not handle it nearly as well at the same settings. I do kind of wish dynamic resolution had been used there as it seems like a perfect case for it.
Dunno about Witcher 3 since I haven't actually played the xo version myself.
It has the resolution advantage (remember that use to matter last gen) and smoother Framerate. Clear victory.LOL - doesn't sound too clear to me.
Game looks and performs great on the bone.
20fps on PS4? Damn...glad i went with the xbox version
I am glad you enjoyed my post. I was being sarcastic BTW. Notebook CPU should have gave it away. This is just the kind of post I opened the thread to see. So good.
I'm surprised you're able to string so many words together with your apparent lack of reading comprehension.
PS4 needs better optimization instead Dynamic Resolution.
Xbone needs a frame lock option.
Optimization can give you even better image quality or effects holding a solid 30fps.What do you mean by 'better optimization'? Would you be ok with reduced quality and effects in order to consistently hit the 30 fps target?
Optimization can give you even better image quality or effects holding a solid 30fps.
This game needs to be optimized in the parts where you get sub-30fps... it is a fixed platform so it is not hard like PC... if you optimize you will reach solid 30fps.

You know that PS4 and X1 have the exact same CPU?
Well, I give up explaining stuff to people in this thread
Looking at some other comparision vids, it seems XB1 misses out on other GFX features seen in PC and PS4.
Like what?

They should release an option for PS4 to have 900p and a better framerare (or at least a consisten locked 30 fps), if possible.
It runs some parts at solid 30fps... others not... there are a lot of bugs too.Ok, so what makes you think the game is unoptimized?

I always prefer capped over unlocked framerate. That much hasn't changed.
so basically both of these consoles are struggling, this is probably going to be a short generation, lol.
They aren't though, this is a pretty ambitious open world game with a few bugs/hiccups that really don't seem difficult to fix. These consoles are fine.
I think the janky animation and weird camera panning make the framerate seem worse than it actually is and people are responding to that.I have had a few little dips on PS4, but nothing has taken me out of the game at all. It is pretty smooth for the most part.
Game looks and runs much better on consoles than most were expecting and performance is substantially better than most last gen open world games.so basically both of these consoles are struggling, this is probably going to be a short generation, lol.
That is not optimization lolConsoles don't have unlimited power. To get the whole game running solid 30 concessions would have to be made. That's "optimization".

You're right. Optimization involves magic and metal
So, does that mean dx12 is magic?

I'm also really glad they got 8x AF in on PS4. I think that's probably the sweet spot for IQ/performance. 1080p with a solid post process AA solution and 8xAF definitely creates a much more pleasing image than most open world games. Hope more games follow suit.
