Menu's are a lot faster, smoother.. normal.

Doesn't seem to be as much slowdown during the gameplay as before. A lot better IMO.

Also, why can't you change between character voices (ENG/JP) in the sound settings? Why isn't that in there? It's either all JP or all ENG.

I'm waiting for all the new bugs that will appear with this patch.

And for the reactions, of course, everyone knows that 1 complaint is equivalent to 1 billion complaints so the whole world will be experiencing those new bugs. The FCC told me so.

You have to unlock that option.
Edit: I think you have to play a certain number of hours for that option to appear. Or maybe clear Arcade mode with some characters?
I can't remember.

Two additional bugs:

1- I noticed yesterday that after waking the console from sleep, using my SF4 TE stick, I would press HK and nothing would happen. All other buttons would work fine. I thought the stick was broken but nope.

This only went away after I completely shut down the console and restarted it.

2- Also, when waking from sleep inside the game, online does NOT work AT ALL. Same as Bloodborne before the patch.

And of course, input lag and online lag are the biggest issues, and they are not addressed in this patch.

I'm playing way too many laggy games compared to my PS3. Even with 3 Bars.

Anybody encountered the first 2 bugs?

I'm starting to think that the whole game was just laggy. The menu feels normalized as does the gameplay (still not perfect tho)

I'm watching a stream right now, and the menus are actually fast like the previous gen versions.

Now we wait for input lag tests...

I unlocked individual EN/JP voices by beating Arcade mode once. I did it on Medium, I dunno if the lower ones will count.

I have to see if they fixed the bug where the soundclip of the announcer shouting "Hugo wins!" never plays.

I also combo'd into a Super after I landed a KO hit with Dudley, and my meter didn't empty. Has it always done that or am I just crazy? I'm trying to get a video/gif of it.

I don't see input lag every becoming gone. Even the 360 version has some does it not, and that's the "optimal" version?

That could mean they can reduce input lag in hopes to put it on par with 360, and really that's all that is required.

The rest of the fixes are tip top though on that list, and to all of our surprises the patch came HELLA fast...which is actually really strange to me.

Here's hoping the next one comes even faster and would reduce that input lag. If so, then they'll have succeeded at the ultimate version of the game.

There will always be some input lag because as much as people lambast this port. Original game was coded very shittily.

I'd guess this patch was being worked on since the game went gold, but just wasn't ready for launch.

And the 360 version has the least amount of lag on consoles. But every game has some input lag, signals need to travel through wires, get decoded and processed, etc. The 360 is just what everyone is used to, so if the PS4 version is supposed to become the "tournament standard", they have to get it to 360 levels.

So for some reason now every game I join says host has removed you from game ? Wtf. The players are saying they didn't do anything.

Problem is, even if they fix all the problems, the big tournaments won't change back to the PS4 version (this year at least). EVO's organizers stated that the decision to switch to 360 was final.

That HK button not working was a pretty common occurence with SF4 TE's even on 360. I believe it's something with the early PCB's but not certain.

That would make sense, but man... since it's a digital only release they could delay it by a week and avoid all the backlash. That just seems like extremely poor decision making to everyone involved.

Here's hoping the input lag is on par with 360 version now, or in the near future. They fixed the Decapre shit(I main her), so once it's 360 levels of lag I would be all aboard to play this over MKX on my PS4.
