Well, shit. MGR2
My thoughts exactly when I read the news.
I mean, I love Platinum to the death. Fingers crossed this game ends up good and earns them some cash.
But personally? I'm disappointed it has to be this way
There may be an alternate campaign, here's hoping, playable decepticons should be a given.

Platinum adding their crazy action to Transformers looks so cool. Bumblebee transformed in mid-air and smashed into a Decepticon!

Yeah ok I can dig that, bumblebee in carm mode ramming into a decepticon and then doing a backflip and hitting him again.
I knew this felt familiar. This is exactly like Tropical Freeze.
Not on the level of Bayo 2 Wii U exclusive yet. That's a mountain of salt that will be hard to top

lol I feel pretty much exactly the opposite. That was the moment in the trailer that actually gave me some hope for the game.

As a 35 year old gamer that grow up on Transformers. Yeah , I asked for this. What are you going to do about it !

Man, I'm pumped.. All those negative reactions are annoying. If you're not a fan of Transformers or PlatinumGames then stay away (from the game) and let others enjoy it.
From what I've seen in the trailer I'm sure I'll love the combo system and over the top action. So yes, I asked for this and I want them to Roll Out as soon as possible.

Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.
Getting too much of a budget feel from it. If it had a proper console dev cycle to go full Platinum quality, maybe. But this looks Korra level but being sold at full. Bad Activision juju abounds.

Personally I don't get the negativity at all, because Platinum still have Scalebound in the works so it's not like they're putting all their dev time into this.
Also, I don't remember this backlash when Korra was announced. Maybe people just prefer anime to western shows

It's disappointing that a MGR2 isn't happening anytime time soon or maybe ever, but I don't see a point in directing that negativity towards this game. Especially since we know what the likely perpetrator is.
It's good knowing that a director behind a great action title is behind this despite it being Activision, and I'm confident that the title will at least end up better than Korra, probably even Anarchy Reigns. Both titles, while I love, are severely flawed.

I hope this turns out well, I wouldn't mind a Platinum Transformers game at all. Probably low budget as hell like the trailer, even if it's full priced

Well, we practically already knew, so it's not a disappointment, but the confirmation of the disappointment.
I just don't care about Transformers. I didn't care when I was a kid, so no point in starting this now, so many years after.

Yep. I didn't much care for Korra looking the way it did because hey, 15 euro. But if this is a full retail release and it looks like it's going to suffer from the same obvious low budget issues... ouch. Hopefully with Saito on it we'll at least get combat superior to Korra's.
Then again we saw maybe 20 seconds of randomly cut gameplay in a single area so far.
A lot of people, myself included, deluded themselves into believing MGR2 is in development. So now that this shows up and is not MGR2, but made by MGR's director... Sure it's not this game's fault, but life isn't fair.
Plus, it's published by Activision and Platinum's last work with Activision was not exactly among their best.
Yep. I played the heck out of Robotech: Crystal Dreams. What was shown looks almost exactly like it - cell shaded and empty.
