this announcement can give them back a huge load of attention to the final Fantasy franchises....Fans that lost intereset in this franchise eventually will come back....fans that were complaining that Square Enix never listens, should shut up

we got now Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy 15, Final Fantasy 7 Remake and even Dragon Quest comes back to Playstation

Here's how it went down for me.

I was feeling pretty discouraged. It wasn't coming. Suddenly I heard the words Final Fantasy spoken. Immediately gasped and saw what was before me. World of Final Fantasy. Well now I was just mad, though to be honest I probably would have enjoyed that a lot more had I not had a remake rooming looming over my head. Then he started talking about a game that came out all those years ago. And that's when I knew it was something FFVII related.

I didn't know if it was a sequel or a remake. A big knot formed in my stomach. And then I saw THAT FUCKING SLIDE and I started to believe that it was a remake, but the narration made it sound like a sequel. It wasn't until the camera zoomed down into the crowd just before Barret and Cloud showed up that I realized just what it was I was looking at. I didn't cry but let me tell you I started laughing uncontrollably. A very giddy very happy laugh. I did that for about an hour and a half and here I am now awake at 5 am still hyped.

Hell yeah. And as hard on my first gaming love (...okay, admittedly that sounds weird) as I've been over the past several years, almost everything on that list you just wrote is calling to me big-time. I'm not much for KH and I don't have a PC but there's no denying they're setting themselves up to deliver on both those fronts for the millions who are interested. So I mean. Damn. No complaints at all right now.

- KH III on UE4 Engine with team Osaka, it's a complicated project because of Disney so ...
- FF XV on Luminous Engine with Tabata
- FF VII on the same engine, FF XV is a real test, the original concept was too big so they kick him to put the CC/Type-0 guy and ask him too handle FF VII with Kitase.

As everybody know the FF VII remake was something we talked about many times, I'm confident to say that they will use everything too meet people expectation. They know the game, it's no build from scratch, Q1 2018 is still 2017 until March (financially) of I don't say shit.

I still cannot believe this announcement was an actual thing. Like, holy shit, it is surreal to me. There have been so many other times where a remake was teased and we were baited, that I honestly just gave up hope.

But now that it's coming, I'm actually kind of worried. I personally keep my expectations low with every new game release, but with something this big, I feel like it's gonna cause a major split between the fanbase: those that want it to stay true to the original, and those that want it be a completely evolved version of the classic. Square's track record with the series hasn't been the best lately (XIII trilogy was okayish with a fun battle system but weak story, XIV is a fantastic MMO, XV STILL isn't out but on the way) but honestly, I wanna say that's due to the actual individuals within Square-Enix that work on each game. Either way, I feel like it's inevitable that people are going to shit on this game as we start to see more of it until it's eventual release.

I'm happy to take it for whatever it'll be, as it's still a modern remake of one of my favorite games.

I actually think the opposite.

Because it's a remake of FF7, Nomura will want to keep elements of the original like the turn-based battle system. It's a chance at least to go back to that.
