670 anit doing too hot. Not using the newest drivers, but man drops happen a bunch. Sometimes in cutscenes and in very small rooms rotating the camera. 30-40 when driving. Some areas feel smooth.

"This one seems safe to preorder."

Every. fucking. time.

After The Witcher performance on PS4 and this shotty port I canceled all of my existing pre-orders.

Is your CPU at 100% Did you take off the 30FPS cap? It's probably not being pushed hard enough with the cap in place.

.

Nah I'm at 60. At 1080p it stays locked at 60 most of the time, but I get drops into the 40-45 range and my GPU usage doesn't go up at all when this happens.

My CPU usage is only at 10% and GPU usage hovers around 40% usually.

DSR 4K and 30 FPS locked plays pretty good though. Thinking I'll stick with that for now.

Yup, it's insane. almost seems like they trying to make people not buy this.

Picking Iron Galaxy to port the game is WB first and biggest mistake I think. for WB biggest release of the year (and if lets say WB Montreal and Monolith were really busy) why not just hire well known port people like Nixxes Software or Bluepoint Games? Arkham Knight is not a random potato-tier title from small developer, it's WB biggest release and one of this year most anticipated titles.

and Denuvo DRM already screwed Lords of the Fallen (and already cracked?) why using it in any game ever again?

We dont know if IG handled the entire port though. They mostly do clean up for huge AAA titles. Like the only thing they did with Origins was the steamworks integration.

Runs great, everything turned on. Tops out using 40% of GPU but 5.5GB of VRAM. Playing @1080p.

Hopefully the ability to refund poor ports like this on Steam will help send a message to devs to not release a game in such a state.

Holy fuck... unpacks... opens.. crashes... deletes itself... now redownloading... WTF...

I think I am going to open my bottle of 1800 and make some chocolate pudding...

Haven't bought it but I can't think of a single Unreal Engine 3 game that had a very bad PC port. I'm used to those always being some of the easiest games to run. Looking at the peak concurrent Steam players being 15,054 today, that looks a lot worse than other recent high profile debuts especially considering how well received previous games were. That's less than Evolve and that game had bad press for like half a year before release. Batman has been all rainbows until today.

The game really drops in frames when I'm grappling really fast. I wonder if that's because I have the game installed on my slowest hard drive and it's trying to load in assets. Also, the game doesn't close down properly.

This Graphic Settings menu is embarrassing for AAA PC game in 2015.

Happens to me as well and I've got it on an SSD

Huh? Wasn't following too closely on Gaf for that game's launch, but seemed to be fine for me on launch day on Ps4.

But this game....ya, fuck this.

So this utilizes GPU physx?

When you say a huge difference how big a difference are we talking in terms of fps?

I have a spare 660 laying around but not sure it will be worth it considering my main GPU is a 980 ti.

I got 15 fps more on average (at 4K) by using the second GPU as dedicate PhysX instead of using it in SLI.

After turning off the smoke and fog, (which was causing the batmobile to crash the display driver, or the game entirely) I'm able to play the game normally. I have the fps cap set at 60, and while there are some stutters, for the most part, it seems exceedingly smooth. I haven't bothered to crank everything up to 11, it's all at default settings. But I'm happy with a running game, for the time being.

I play this game with 980 in SLI at 1440p. Lowest FPS= 60 Average: 75
With gameworks on, except rain. But something looks off, low textures or something. It doesnt look very good, especially in cutscenes.

Have yet to try it yet but hearing this is really disheartening, the other Arkham games have all been great PC ports so what's going on?

I can't even get a refund for this (came with my GPU).

Seriously I'd just go buy the PS4 version if I didn't want to deprive WB of another sale.

My pre-order was non-refundable but I'm likely going to try and return it via my Discover card.

Literal garbage right here.

So you found a way to enable fog and debris after it was disabled? I have the latest nvidia drivers and its still disabled for me.

Yeah. I did so many things, including reinstalling drivers, that I'm not sure what specifically enabled it. One thing I did notice is that it will show up as disabled if PhysX is set to CPU in NVCP. They are exclusive to GPU PhysX. After I stopped using that, it shows up for both SLI enabled and SLI disabled.

EVGA 970 FTW

I settled on everything high, smoke and paper turned off. Generally good performance, 50-60, trends close to 60 a lot of the time, in fact.

But those hitches and drops.

Yuck.

Playable enough though. Anticipating a fix though. Because really now :-/

I've got a 680 and this is very worrisome. i7 3770K OC'd and 8GB of 2133MHz RAM, so there really should be no bottleneck CPU/RAM wise. But when it comes to drops in such basic functions in the game, I see no need to play any further. Now I see why PC Gamer never got a review copy of the PC version. Remember, Steam has a return function!

The game still barely performs at 30fps and stutters all over the place on PS4.

Of course I'd get the Witcher on PS4 and this game on PC.

First they change the specs the day before the game is released and then they release a completely bullshit port. I'm pretty peeved.

Will I get away with running this with an overclocked gtx 570? the rest of my pc is over minimum requirements :(

Honestly, I would wait until the game is patched since as you can see from other users the VRAM consumption rate is all over the place and it is asking at a minimum 2gb of VRam and I think the 570 has what 1.25gb?

Douchebag. Yes, me.
Whoa whoa whoa-

Was it known at all before release that Iron Galaxy was doing the port? I would have never bought it if that was known. Full stop.

It also means most likely that this will never be fixed. Iron Galaxy is almost as incompetent as you can get. The only worse company you could possibly find is High Voltage.

Why does Warner continuously employ these awful developers to do their ports when these people have done nothing but demonstrate over and over that they are completely incapable of doing the job?

No it was not.

Of course they are, they are constantly encrypting and decrypting stuff (unless I am wrong)
well we have no idea Denuvo was not entirely removed from any game so we have no way to compare how these games behave with and without it.
We only know that LotF devs said that it increases HW load by 1/5 according to their internal tests.

I got the game via nVidia promotion. Can't get a refund but I do have a preorder towards the PS4 version.

My specs are:

i7 4970k
980 ti 6gb vram
16 GB 1866 MHZ ram

The benchmark scores an average of 57 fps at max with all gameworks activated.

I tweaked the ini to set the max FPS to 60 fps (lol, srsly Rocksteady?)

Even then, the game is plagued with stuttering. Its playable, framerates are good, but even with every gameworks setting off, the game still stutters to hell and back.

So yeah, I may use the PS4 preorder and just play the game on my couch with my home cinema... have not decided yet.

Sounds like a mess again, well I guess I just wait this one out see what happens. Worked out well with this series in the past.

Arkham City still has this issue low GPU/CPU usage in DX11. Sounds like same thing happening to some people here. Arkham Origins runs so much better.

Has the rumored "3.5 GB day-one patch" been already released?

I was thinking about getting the Premium Edition, since today is my birthday and I'm a huge Batman fan. I'm-doing-a-PhD-on-Batman level of fan. But I'm not supporting this shitshow with my hard-earned money. I rather get a Xenoblade New 3DS bundle in a few days...

What vram issues were people having? At 4k max settings, I'm in the neighborhood of 6.5-7gb, which doesn't seem too outrageous to me.

Side note, game is beautiful at 4k.

lowest bidder, in all likelihood
