The more I watch this trailer, the more I tend to like it. It's up there with the E3 2013, DKΣ3713, and 1st. Production trailers for me.

I love how it handles so calmly and deftly the friendship aspect between the four guys. Even if you remove the context, there's almost no one piece of dialogue that is filled with story-related words or events. You could definitely tell the style and road-trip tone that this game was set to give since 2008. The road-trip and travelling angle on this game is what hooked me into it in the first place, so that was great to see. It's very different from the rest of the trailers, but it pulls off its own thing incredibly well.

The Jump Festa 2015 trailer on the other hand is really bad. It tried to have a serious tone and it just sucked at it. And then you decide to stick Cidney in the trailer for like half a second? Stupid tonal shift.

It's easily the worst trailer the game has had...

I remember being completely blind by the hype, but then after rewatching everything, this one is way too bad.

The Jump Festa one is a big step up from the TGS trailer, and even that is still an extremely weak trailer...

Yea I agree. Hope gamescom trailer is a step up from the Jump Festa trailer. They also need to make trailers longer.

Yeah, dreams are dreams. I think you phrasing "it can be whatever IT wants to be" being important regarding this. Sometimes dreams just do whatever they hell they want, and it doesn't seem logical or "realistic"(well, as logical and "realistic" many people claim dreams to be nowadays).

When FFX was announced(yeah, that one time when FFIX and FFXI were also announced), I had a dream that it was going to take place in the nation of Eocolis, and the world was composed on distant scattered islands that could only reach via Tidus, who had the power to transform into an airship(think FF version of Turbo Teen).

Lol, yeah...dreams are weird. I'm sure From will never team up for an FFVI remake but in my dream state it looked fun as hell

I'm in love with that amazing waltz-like tune. Yeah, the one that was nicknamed "Gratia Mundi" by that guy who reproduced it. I imagine it will be used for a city or town. Maybe Accordo?
Love the waltz-flavor of that song. Kinda reminds me of some of the older FF waltz songs. It's a style of music that composers shouldn't be shy of using in these games, even if the game's modern or futuristic(FFVIII had a few waltzes).

I'd wager it being something like "Noctis' theme" considering how it plays in the end of the Duscae demo.

What is this game even about? I have followed it closely but all I really know is they are on a quest (for what though?) and that their hometown gets conquered. What other story elements do we know? It seems kind of crazy that this far in development there is so little known about the story.

Yeah. To me, it's quite easily the best piece of music we've heard from FFXV. Just good vibes all over.

The hype for this game is insane.

My top 5 most wanted.

1.FF Dissidia PS4
2.FFXV
3.FFVII remake
4.Kingdom Hearts
5.Xenoblade Chronicles X

Before Xenoblade X was out Xenoblade X was on number 1, but after hearing the story is good but not legendary like Xenogears/Xenosaga really got my hype deflated.

FF15 release date, FF12 HD and KH Complete Collection for PS4 pls Square!

Yup, that's where I'm at. Really hope that FF12HD comes out quickly; I read a little bit about IZJS and it sounds fun as hell, really don't want to add yet another game to the "I am so excited I can't stand it" pile.

I'm curious to see how magic is implemented finally. We know it doesn't cost MP, but it would be interesting if it cost HP instead considering magic seemingly takes a toll on Noctis.

Same here. I started emulating XII IZJS in May and stopped because I hoped it would be announced at E3. To my disappointment, they "only" announced VIIr. Now I'm getting the itch to boot up PCSX2 but I'll wait until at least after TGS.

Cura: Restores 500 HP, cost 500 HP

The E32015 trailer is the best trailer for XV/Versus.

Its a masterpiece.

They need Nomura to market the game again. So much flare and perfect cuts, pacing and visual effects in his marketing.

That is absolutely true, Nomura was too good at this, but we still have to see how Tabata and team can handle a story-focused trailer.

Good. I'm tired of Final Fantasy melodrama

This much is true. I'm hoping that FFXVI goes back to the more lighthearted adventure along the lines of FFV and FFIX. Basically gives us a non-brooding, cheerful protagonist which is neither an whiny idiot like Tidus or an irrelevant character like Vaan. And a story that doesn't take itself too seriously. Keep the story more simplistic, with a group of decently written characters and villains.

I liked the re-reveal trailer the most.

That moment when we saw the airship shedding it's armor

That moment when they showed Accordo for the first time

Seeing the long range warping for the first time

Seeing Leviathan

Seeing the quick cuts of the characters faces and then the whole cast as the music reached it's crescendo.

"The fifteenth coming"

God damn every moment was great.

I just rewatched the E3 trailer again I'm assuming all of the dialogue in the trailer is no longer going to be in the game....

Didn't you hear, deep, convoluted concepts and heavy drama with realistic themes is the flavor of the week. Get with the times!

P.S. I'd kill for a new main line FF game with the lighthearted tone of some of the older games. It's a reason why I'm totally anticipating World of Final Fantasy.

Please explain to me where Tidus is a whiny idiot in FFX.

Bravely Default and Bravely Second are out there. I mean technically both, only one in english though :D

finally got my hands on version 2.0 and I must say my impressions have gone from mostly favorable to greatly anticipating the final gameplay. The "combat training" at the beginning was surprisingly able to teach me parrying and knightsguard tech that I tended to fail horribly at in v 1.0. Overall performance really has increased and the co-op attacks are great fun. even if they somewhat break up combat. Especially spamming jumping attacks was funny, and so I am greatly looking forward to more Arial combat scenarios. Another
+5 fps and AA would also be nice.
