Why do you think we will learn a lot if he survives Day and Night 1? Do you trust him enough to likely lose two Tourists instead of 1 third party and 1 tourist?

Well there's two issues here. First, there is a big assumption guiding all of this. Not every individual that can make a kill at night is a serial killer/neutral party. A lot of people jumped on this assumption quick but we don't actually know that he isn't in line with us. Second, the number of people that die tonight will mean a lot more if Blarg is alive than if he is dead. Let's say he is the only one that can perform a night kill aside from the whole cultist group. If we will him now, there is one death tonight, it's definitely town and it means nothing. If Blarg is allowed to act tonight then a few more possibilities come into play. Depending on the number of people killed and the possible flavor text we get we can learn a lot more. Could we learn the information just from killing Blarg and seeing his role text? Maybe, but I'm not convinced that he is a third party as was originally assumed.

I want to ask Castamere one more thing.

Remember though
(do not divulge)
.

You solved solute 2 didn't you? Solute 1 gave you Blarg's assumed role which you now shared with us but Solute 2 seems like the more important puzzle. Why is that? What could be more important that his role? And if ID_Solution is supposed to be a clue towards his role doesn't that mean Solute 2 would reveal his role and not Solute 1?

Maybe. Like I said though fire and food. He needs to feed a fire, or he's an arsonist that uses fire to kill.

If he's an arsonist then even less reason for anyone to want to kill him right now regardless of their ideas on the matter. The most he can do is mark someone during night 1.

Why would he be doing this all if he was a neutral serial killer? That role needs to stay pretty hidden in order to try and make it to the end. Throwing up a huge sign up that says that he is special on day 1 is probably the worst way to go about that. It also doesn't seem like something any valuable town role would do.

If we lynch him and he flips Ordinary Tourist I'll name my firstborn Blargonaut.

More reason why I don't actually think he is neutral.

This post is worth revisiting in our current mindset.

It's a bit impenetrable, but don't be worried, I'm not leading you on a wild goose chase! The 3 pieces of info you may potentially find are 100%-verified. At this point, you can probably guess how. ;o

I'm about to name some people for things. However, note that my reasons behind selecting the following targets have no relation whatsoever to the info found in my puzzle:

  • If there is a switcher role among you, I need you to switch me with Sorian during Night 1.
  • If there is an arsonist among you, I want you to douse Tucah.
  • If there is an investigator role among you, I need you to investigate Never Forever; if you're a 'suspicious activity' monitor, I need you to watch Darryl tonight.
  • Any doctor present needs to protect either OceanicAir or Matt Attack tonight.
  • If you're a cultist, I suggest killing RetroMG, ultron87 or Neuromancer.
I chose 6 of these 9 suggested targets at random; the remaining 3 were selected based on my own deductions from your discussions and posting behaviours. I'm not going to share my thoughts.

I don't want any of you to waste time discussing my suggestions. Honestly, don't waste your time. Just choose to do it tonight or not. A fully-faithful execution of my Night 1 plan will result in two dead townspeople. You'll get the information you need.

And finally, if I end up as the majority vote to lynch today or end up dead tonight, I want you to rename Barrylocke after me.

*shuts off slightly-barbequed HAM radio*

I don't know what to make of it. Again, as it usually is with Blarg, I have ideas but it's hard to nail anything down. Interesting that he's so sure of two night deaths.

I'm intrigued by the Blarg/Darryl connection. Darryl was going hard after anybody making a Blarg vote early on, and if the last page is anything to go by, Blarg clearly wants us associating the two of them.

It's entirely possible this will change by the end of the day, but pressure is good and the games are getting tiresome:

VOTE: Blargonaut

^And the rats come to feast as well?

How did I honestly expect "Unconditional Trust" from a pack of rodents? SHOO, OFF WITH YA.

Kill him tomorrow then. If nothing comes from this then you have my vote immediately for his lynching on day 2. I know I said that with this theme I'd be highly surprised if there wasn't a serial killer in this game but we don't actually know that there is for sure. If we let him ride out one night then it will most likely be confirmed one way or another and Blarg has this weird sense of honor. If we are reading it right, his solution 1 was meant to give information to town, not cult. I bet you anything if he is a killer, he's going to attempt to kill someone he suspects as scum.

It comes with being Lawful Evil :p

I'd be happy to concede to a Day 2 lynch, should I fail to deliver tonight. However, as I said before, my fingers would benefit from keeping me and our relationship alive as long as possible. Self-preservation is an animal instinct.

Okay, so lets take the idea that he can't die tonight as fact. Then lets just say he strings us out until perhaps Day 3 when all will be revealed. The cultists still have the opportunity to kill him Night 2. We can't risk a potential tourist for a third party.

The more kills on Night 1, the better. The genetic pool is large enough to still be viable, cosmos willing, and Town gets the most intel possible. If I am what they say I am, I can provide these. This means my death would be worth less compared to an Ordinary Tourist's death, at the moment. This all means that the Town would lose more by offing me today.

Shieldbreaker roles exist as a thing in Mafia. A uniquely-tailored one? In this game, who knows? We're all special snowflakes. Alter my Night 1 plan, if you wish. Place a motion tracker on me instead of Darryl, if there's one among you. Apply your powers. Watch me move, and also see if someone attempts to visit me and test their luck. See if someone is capable of betting against Mr. House. I've made myself quite a juicy selection, after all. A steak-out opportunity that would be missed if I were to depart today.

An ordinary tourist most definitely can't provide any of you with any of these things. And who knows, I could happen upon a sleeping Cultist by chance. Slim chance, but it's there.

...and besides, I'm going to BBQ you in your tent before tomorrow morning anyway, so you really don't need to worry about any of this :3

Heh. Why'd he claim Mafia as an investigator last game? He was the strongest asset the town had. Dudes kinda crazy.

First of all, This.

Second of all, it's not like Blarg has never lied to make himself look worse than he actually is. I have no idea what the purpose is, but it has precedent.

I'm opposed to lynching Blarg tonight. At least for now. I'm going to sleep on it and come back in the morning, if you guys haven't killed him before then.

So I just had a scary thought. If Castamere's read is correct, Blarg's message kept referencing the first post I made in the thread. (Cultists, Mad men, Don Draper, etc) I assumed he was trying to point the finger at me. If he's really a dangerous third party, maybe he's marking me as his target.

I am less sure about keeping Blarg alive, now.

Firstly, bandwagoners, read Post #1000 again, I justify why you all shouldn't vote for me.

Secondly--

Thirdly, don't forget Darryl.

Well, here are my thoughts on most of the players.
Never Forever
Strange player who does not really like normal posts and marks them as fluff. I think he is just a new Town player nothing to be feared from him for now.
Flamce_AC
Did not engage that much into the discussion, but as soon as he got blamed for something he did not shy away to defend himself. 60/100
GreatCHarlston
Did he change his Name? Sorry I can’t my head around him. ??/100
Lone_Prodigy
This poor guy just made some terrible mistakes, reacted the wrong way and for now , this does not bode well with most of the players. I think he is town but it seems he will leave us : (

Since I played 2 games with you I know how you tick. The way you have posted up to now is in my book normal Town
Matt Attack
Town ? Sorry cant get my head around you mate but I would like to know you better ;)
Timeaisis
Much more active than in the past game and since he got called out for being not that active he has posted a lot more ( not that much , but the quality was great ) Town
Darryl
As foul mouthed as usual, love you that way Darryl
Lord Of Castamere
You seem to be the brain of the Town, since you were the only guy who blarg mentioned directly makes me a bit suspicious but well maybe its only the power of the blarg.
RetroMCG
I will get a lot of blame for that, but I like you. Nothing to be feared.

Fuck you Blarg, I cant understand you but I don’t want to anymore :D

Please, don't get all emotional on me. I'm still in your corner only because you aren't the best person to kill right now. Prodigy is good, Tucah is better. I'm going to push hard for these two all the way up until it is time to vote. We need to cut out weakness. Prodigy and Tucah both showed a lot of weakness, the only difference is that I believe Prodigy is just a town player who doesn't know what they are doing while Tucah is a cultist that made the wrong decision.

All right. I had the night to think about it, and I'm going to vote that Blarg lives tonight. He's crazy, but he's not stupid. If he were actually some kind of crazed third party killer, he wouldn't announce it, no matter how good his code is.

If two people die tonight, though, Blarg is going to become #1 on everyone's hit list.

And this is fine in all honesty. In the "worst" case scenario, we have three people's role identities to go through and discuss and we'll still be at 20 players. Town has to gamble at some point to gain information and it's better to do it now when the gap between tourists and cultists is larger.

Sure, this is making an assumption though which I don't think Zatoth will confirm or deny so please keep that in mind. The assumption is that Tucah didn't bail out on us and is still in this game.

They both acted the same when I came around with my vote to prod them both. They both went into survival mode only and spent more time defending themselves than they did raising valid points about others. I think this demonstrates weak play from both and weak play is indicative of either a tourist still trying to get their bearings or a cultist that is trying hide among the newbies on day 1. Differentiating the two can be a chore but here's where I see the primary different. Take Prodigy's posts, they feel like he is just lashing out randomly. Trying anything to get the suspicion away from him which is why votes kept going his way, the more you act panicked, the more people will think they were right on their assumption on you.

Looking at Tucah instead, he had to defend himself much less. He was my first person to accuse and it was obviously based on RNG but he handled himself with much more grace which got me to move along quickly and didn't raise any flags in others so they never felt it necessary to pressure him more. Coming back a day or two later he commented on Daryll's item with very little substance and then back to radio silence again. If he is still involved in this game, which going by the rules, he is perfectly allowed to be then I think he was more precise in his inactivity and the only type of player who would want to be inactive while dodging suspicion is a cultist. I don't, personally, think that is the smart play for a cultist to make but that's what I feel happened here.

Agreed fully here. Blarg has claimed enough that we can paint a big target on him the next day. I'd rather keep him alive so we can try to verify if any of his information was true or not. If it looks true, we gain something. If not, he's next on the chopping block

Hmm, yeah that's interesting. He effectively came out of the woodwork to defend himself in a more composed way, made one fluff post a day later, and retreated back into the night. Not going to change my vote from Blarg just yet, but you made a decent argument for Tucah. I'd like to hear from him before the days end, though.

Feels like we're close enough to start solidifying our votes.

I'd already said in a previous post that between Lone_Prodigy and Tucah it was pretty much a toss-up for me, and I think the fact that LP has posted more and at least made efforts to shake off suspicion (even though he's still not great at it) makes me think that Tucah might be a better target, specially if he's still in the game, which I now think he may be thanks to Sorian's post.

UNVOTE: OceanicAir

VOTE: Tucah

Hopefully the current Lone_Prodigy voters will switch to Tucah instead. As an argument for that I offer my previous post, linked above. I'm not sure if I'd be willing to switch to LP in order to save Blarg... We'll see what happens.

I'd like everyone to keep one thing in mind. We don't want the votes to end in a tie. This probably goes without saying but I wouldn't be doing my due diligence if I didn't say it. A tie is a no lynch and I think we've been in agreement from the start that a no lynch is counter-productive.

If that situation were to arise, I would be willing to switch over my vote to another candidate. I think Blarg is absolutely our best option today, and I do hope we go with him, but I'm not willing to let it end in a No Lynch, and I won't pretend like there's not at least some potential benefit to keeping him around a little longer.
