I am interested that everyone has so happily jumped on to the MGSV PC Day One bandwagon for Sept 1st
So many issues that suggest that might not go well
Really seems that it would be worth waiting a while (a few days at least) to see how that one plays out.
Wait wasn't the release for PC two weeks later?
Anyway I am still waiting for this mess to be fixed. Take your time Rocksteady and some kind of apology (as in a free game) to the people who bought your product would be nice.

You're assuming iron galaxy botched this. What makes you think it was solely them?well no port/game is 100% clean of performance issues. but we have both Rocksteady and Nvidia engineers trying to undo Iron Galaxy mess and they taking their time too (two months), I have a good feeling about this.
It was supposed to be a Summer game. One I'd actually have time to play. Now I can't because they can do exactly what you said. So I had to count up the days and remind people how unacceptable this shit is.
To me, that absolutely is unplayable. I'm not gonna sit through 20+ hours of stuttering and frame drops.
Well, things going wrong is pretty much how it goes. It's not exactly acceptable to sell a product that, for the most part, does not provide what it promises to, but without someone or something to pinpoint as the cause for that discrepancy it's useless, and honestly fairly dumb, to complain at the gods that the game didn't get released when you wished it would. In truth you are probably exemplifying the very stressful nature of videogame development that helped the game be released before it was done, or, perhaps, originate some other line of wrongdoing that led to an unsuccessful development process. Now maybe it is public why exactly the port had so many troubles, i don't know, i haven't kept up with it. But, and this is my assumption, if the desire were to create the conditions necessary to avoid developers, publishers and consumers from being put in these sorts of situations in the future... i'm sure complaining that the game didn't release as it should when it should isn't going to solve anything, but only add to the already neck breaking speed at which the industry is moving.
Hopelessly unplayable? :lol
It does have absurdly bad framedrops, but I managed to 100% it just fine.
I have the feeling that fixing the game is not going anywhere near as difficult of a task than reintroducing the PC version. What could they do to make people forget about this mess when they relaunch it sometimes this fall ?
My favorite part is how Season Pass owners get fuck-all except maybe the hope that eventually we'll get all that DLC in a game that runs better maybe???? Not even a token free game like Ubisoft did with ACU. What a terrible company.
This line of reasoning makes no sense to me. Don't release a product that doesn't function. One more delay versus this is an obvious choice.
No shit sherlock. That's my point. They have delayed it.

No, they haven't.
So they delayed it (after they fucked up) and you are now complaining that they are not fixing this fast enough.
Suspending sales and continuing development doesn't count as delaying its release?

Was this thread needed? The original pc performance thread is still active daily. I am as pissed as anyone how unplayable this game is, but no need to start a new thread over it.

That's correct. They still have money from the people who didn't get refunds. Not everyone got refunds. That's not a delay. Thry released the product.
This is for anyone who isn't actively following the performance thread. A reminder that this happened and is still broken as a warning against buying games at launch in the future.
Huh? I acknowledged that it's a bad port. I think my framerate dropped below 10 during some of the batmobile segments.
However, this doesn't mean that it's "hopelessly unplayable".
¯\_(ツ_/¯
I enjoyed myself enough to play through it twice.

I don't know what is so unexpected.
Taking it down is obviously an indication that it will take a long time to resolve. Even more hilarious is that they announced a while ago that in late August there would be an "interim" patch - so it still won't be fixed even by then
Every game should just run like this then. It's no big deal really, who cares about performance on a $1200 PC
Still hoping they'll give us Mad Max to compensate
Oh please. The port is shit, the hyperbole people spout is also shit.
yeah cause all PCs are the same
I swear there's some sort of defense force on this rather widely reported crapshoot of a port that is just absurd
"yo it worked for me! lol you're wrong"
"Effect X worked for me, it's probably your PC despite this being one of the all time shittiest PC ports ever."
