Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Comes to PC This January

Yep, this is it. This is the game that is going to make me get a PC.

Holy shit man, Capcom's been killing it on the port/remake front as of late.

I might actually give this a try now. I got about 15 minutes into the console version before the horrible, horrible framerate got to me.

YES GAF THIS IS EVERYTHING

I already have a save on PS3 but I need 4K 60FPS!!! I'm gonna get around to building a good PC one of these days.

I only played vanilla Dragon's Dogma on the PS3 (Into Free) so I'll finally get the chance to play all that extra stuff.

What's with the mod comments?

What kind of mods are you guys thinking about?

I always wanted to play this game, now I'm going to.

For those who are asking about FPS, Dragon's Dogma is a MT Framework Engine game, so it'll likely be quite a good PC port and be able to support 60+ frames easily. MT Framework is a great PC engine that does a great job optimizing for PCs and running smoothly. It also means that the modding scene can easily exist for the game, MT Framework is the same engine every recent Resident Evil game has run on, and those all have quite a modding scene.

No mention to framerate in specs sheet is concerning.

Eh, I don't think Capcom have ever done that unless it was also a key selling point on the console version, like Devil May Cry SMOOTH 60FPS. They've not messed up any of the other MT Framework games, so I'm pretty confident.

Damn, I had given hope on this . I'm crossing my fingers for a decent port .
I had Dark Arisen in my backlog for the PS3....not anymore :)

Oh yes. I've heard so many great things about this game, just not its performance in previous versions...glad to see this will likely be remedied. Worst case we'll have Durante or someone to fix it.

For you.

Can't remember Capcom ever having any 30fps locked MT framework games, so I really, really doubt this will be the first. Framerate is just not something they usually talk about in press releases.

Was hoping they were announcing a PS4/Xbone version as well since I think my PC is too old to run this well enough for my liking.

Let's hope this is some indication that they would like to bring Dragon's Dogma Online here too.
