What a blood bath nearly 80% PS4 and 20% Xbone (which some people thought was crazy). I can't imagine the splits for games like FF15 and KH3. The japanese game audience is just not on Xbone.

Until Dawn has been undershipped I feel. My girlfriend's sister bought it for me for my birthday and had real trouble. GAME have had 3/4 shipments of it per store and it keeps selling out.

WOM seem to be good which is great to see this type of game do good.

The PS4 and XB1 have sold cumulative 3.7m as of June with the PS4 a little over 2m.

Most estimate the split at 2.1m for PS4 and 1.6m for XB1.

I think most of the Metal Gear fanbase is on PlayStation. I think it mainly comes down to that with MGSV anyway.

The issue for XB1 isn't really install base (although it still trails vs having a healthy lead) but that this gen PS4 is seen more as condole of choice for multiplatform titles with better versions which skews software sales in PS favour beyond install base split. This is arguably bigger issue for MS than install base in UK IMHO.

Until Dawn's reaching a lot of top spots in those European countries. Looks like it'll perform well overall in Sonyland.

Really impressive stuff - certainly seems to have benefitted from the YouTube/Twitch culture. I hope Sony continues to push it and maybe renews their marketing around Halloween, because it's great to see quirky niche horror games like this do well.

OMG for that MGS split! Looks like Xbox community doesn't care about japanese games ( even if it's Kojima behind it ). Looks like future japanese games for Xbone are questionable.

You can't really infer something like that based on a franchise which has spent over 80% of its life basically being Playstation exclusive. Of course most of its fans are going to be Playstation owners.

‘Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’ holds on to No1 for a second week, albeit with a whopping decline of -78% over week 1.

The average decline week 2 over week 1 for the Top 10 biggest launch titles so far this year is -67% (included in that list are MGSV and Mad Max from last week). The big new entry within the Top 40 is Nintendo’s Wii U ‘Super Mario Maker’ debuting strongly at No2 and selling enough to become the 4th best week 1 sell-through for a Wii U title (the top 3 are Mario Kart 8 , Super Smash Bros. and Nintendo Land). Warner’s ‘Mad Max’ debuted at No2 last week and drops just 1 place to No3 (-66%). Right behind and actually climbing one place to No4 is a third chart week for ‘Disney Infinity 3.0’ (-42%). Also showing third weeks on chart are Sony’s ‘Until Dawn’ (-51%) which is down 1 place to No5 and Microsoft’s ‘Gears of War: Ultimate Edition’ (-58%), down 3 places to No6. The only other new entry within the Top 40 is Sony’s PS4 ‘Tearaway Unfolded’ coming in at No33.
