The PS2 selection on PS3 was anything but comprehensive
I assume that was a mix of publisher apathy and the fact that the emulator was horrific, meaning a lot of games probably straight-up didn't work when tested

A bit off-topic: Dark Cloud 1 is available in the JP PS3 store, Twisted Metal Black is in the EU one, and Ape Escape 2 and Dark Cloud 2 isn't available in any store.

PS2 classics hit the PS3 and it didnt mean that the PS3 could play PS2 games, it meant you could buy specific PS2 games to play on PS3
Until backwards compat is confirmed im not getting excited for this, this could just be that specific PS2 games will be available for purchase on PS4

Rogue Galaxy is also on the Ps3 JP store. I think its the international one as well.

I HAVE DOZENS OF PSONE AND PS2 CLASSICS FROM JP PSN.
PS4 getting compatibility from them will lighten the space on my PS3 and allow me to put more hours into them on my PS4 XoX
I'm the 'enhancements' will be emulation-based ones. Dream scenario is:
Vanilla versions of PSOne and PS2 classics cross-buy with PS4. Certain games are available with enhancements which cost a bit more (and if you own the vanilla versions you can 'upgrade' for a small fee (£2?)).

I would die. I really hope PS1/2 classics come to the PS4. There are SO MANY PS2 games that need to be made available digitally.

Edit: If trophies mean the difference between getting a bunch of games right away as opposed to few at a time then trophies can right the fuck off. Can't imagine that would be the case, but if it was then screw them. Just get the games out there!

Well Ape Escape 1's PSP re-release is on US PSN.
And really if they released 3 you'd be asking why they didn't release 2 first, come on...

Ape Escape 1 PSX might get added in due time. I mean we've got both MediEvil PSP and PSOne on PSN.
Note to self: get MediEvil PSP when it goes on sale again.
Because 2 is seen as the weakest of the trilogy (still a great game by all means), so it wouldn't be surprising that 3 made it on JP PSN before 2 (which it did)
Does anyone even care about On The Loose enough to gate wall AE1 for that reason? SFA3 is on PS1 Classics yet I can get Alpha 3 MAX on PSP?
