lol
where did you get that from?
bloodborne is more expensive than mgsv here in uk.
I know they were giving away Knack at launch but I never heard of this.

None of which are needed to actually play or beat the game. You wouldn't need them to go through the DLC.
So to get the best experience can I still use my level 170 NG++ character?
I know, but those are a pretty big deal for pvp players, so i can see where the complains are coming from
So I guess they never fixed the frame pacing in the base game.
Most of the bosses and content looked lifted straight from the main game, but I wonder if they were just to show off new equipment or something.
I just want to know what exactly this is and how it's integrated into the main campaign.
Chalice dungeons [that is, fully realized procedurally generated 3D dungeons] will take several iterations to fully evolve and feel 'right'. You need great code, a ton of set piece designs [so players don't recognize repeats], lots of alternate textures [same reason], and generally a massive amount of assets with smart, intelligent randomized design.
This isn't easy, and will take experience to get right. Heck, just having randomized ASCII dungeons in roguelikes is difficult -- getting rooms, walls, and corridors right, building up a library of set pieces, etc... doing it fully realized [where we instantly recognize repetition in room design, etc] is monumental.
BUT... it also has huge promise. I hope they do add to it, and I hope they take everything they learned and apply it to BB2 and then 3... because if and when they master it, Chalice dungeons will be absolutely amazing.
Yeah, I was disappointed tbh. And for 20 bucks... Eh. Bloodborne was my least favorite Souls game, though still great, so I'm going to wait and see on this one.
I was so hyped about so much stuff this year but honestly all I can even think about is this now. Can't wait.
Bloodborne is my first Souls game and shattered into my top 5 of all time. I'll go back and experience all of them now. $20 for more sounds like a steal because of this.
But it makes sense. I'm a HUGE Lovecraft/Extended Cthulu Mythos fan and it's my first. *smooch*
If you have a gaming PC, Dark Souls is begging you to be played. It looks incredible using Durante's DSfix, runs great, and it's just mindblowingly amazing. The story is not as interesting as the one in Bloodborne, is a much more simple fantasy story, but the way it's told is just brilliant, I'm sure you'll have a blast uncovering its secrets.
The amount of both story and game related content is also huge, you'll quickly understand why so many people listed lack of content as their main disappointment from Bloodborne. The covenants, sidequests, secondary characters narratives, it's all so much better explored in Dark Souls.
I'd say Bloodborne is just as good overall, and it's a great thing that they're not good in the exact same ways. I cant stop playing either of them.
Making a new chararacter is kind of screwy due to having the redo Chalice progression. The entire Chalice structure needs a revision.
Bloodborne is my GOTY and I didn't even touch chalices at all.
Didn't expect it this year, great news.
Just remembered I have to playthrough it again, should I make a new guy or play the expansion on NG++?
I really appreciate it! I hear the NPC stories are much further explored and feel entirely more impact. Bonfire Side Chat podcast seemed to explain it as "Cainhurst is amazing and a big reason is because it feels like cut content from a theoretical Demon Souls 2." What I think they were getting at was that the story was well encapsulated and explored. And optional. My understanding is that the Souls games have much more of this.
I hope, Cainhurst is the bomb.
(you're a cool dude, I am thankful for all your suggestions)
Edit: My laptop can run a lot but idk about Dark Souls. I do, however, own it on Steam already.

So is this gonna be like the Dark Souls DLC where you have to play through half of the game just to access the content? I really would like to be able to just jump right in and play the new stuff.
Please no new Chalice Dungeons

high stats blood gems
There are some great bosses in them, surrounded by bosses that you fight like 3 or 4 times, all on the "main" path to the main side boss.
There are 27% physical gems in the dungeons, not sure if they go any further than that though.
I take it they're cursed?

So I ask again, is this DLC only or is the physical release also including the main game like Dark Souls II?
Aw man, I get so excited talking about these games, now I can't get work done for the rest of the day because I'm thinking about Bloodborne nonstop
Hmm framepacing fixed please?
The trailer looked smoother that the original game at least
How it worked in DS1 you couldn't delevel though as far as I know, it was simply reallocation levels. Was there a way to do that?
I hope saves from the base game work with the GOTY Edition.

I wonder if people get tired of the LTTPs for Dark Souls. It has to be the most frequent one I see. Hmhmhmhmhmmmmm. If I can get it to run then I'll be playing shortly, as I'm in Nightmare of Mensis and people have made me aware that completing the game would dumb me into NG+. They're saying just do side stuff and Chalice stuff so I don't have to restart to get to the DLC
Yep.
27.6% is the maximum I think and they are cursed.
But you will need all 3 offerings to have a decent change to get some.
The Souls trailers are known for bullshots, hell, even the Bloodborne trailer had a mouse cursor in it.
