I mean, just look at this tragic mess...

I might be off (viewing on a rubbish monitor at work), but that beast looks like it has a similar head shape to the skull that's found on the
altar in the Grand Cathedral
, which a lot of people think belongs to
Laurence
...

Edit: Corrected by SictorVullivan, so please ignore...

They confirmed the boss in that screenshot as
Ludwig
not
Laurence.

Any word about release date of the physical edition in EU?.

I've read that the DLC will be launched the same day, but I've read nothing about the physical version

Man I REALLY need to finish this game. Don't get me wrong, I loved it, just got kind of sidetracked with life/other releases. I think I was at least halfway if not three quarters of the way through.

Clerics were probably the heaviest users of blood and ancient artifacts, as well as the ones most close to the old ones. Considering how long and involved Ludwig was in the business no doubt it left a huge impact on his being.

I can only imagine their "I've made a huge mistake" face when the first beast appeared (Laurence, I assume?).

I thought ludwig was the cleric beast, the hunter chief emblem kinda confirms it IMO.

It really, really, doesn't. All it confirms is that there is a Hunter Chief, and the current Hunter Chief became the Cleric Beast. It doesn't even drop the Radiant Sword Hunter Badge, and even if it did, it still wouldn't be enough evidence. This theory never made any sense to me. I mean, it's possible that Ludwig was still around and was still the Hunter Chief, I guess, since we don't know exactly how many years it has been since the Healing Church was created, but there's absolutely no evidence of that, it's pure speculation.

The Radiant Sword Hunter Badge even states:

"The radiant sword indicates the heirs to the will of Ludwig.

These hunters, also known as Holy Blades, are what remains of an ancient line of heroes that date back to a very early age of honour and chivalry."

Again, we don't know for sure how long it has been, but this makes it seem like it's been quite some time since Ludwig's time. He wouldn't need heirs to his will if he was still around as the hunter chief, they'd be more like students.

Ludwig is much more likely to be the owner of the Old Hunter Bone than the Cleric Beast, even if it's still baseless speculation. Because being the first healing church hunter makes it likely that he was an apprentice of the first hunter, who was a friend of the person who created the healing church.

I e-mailed SCEE and this edition is not confirmed for EU yet, only the DLC on PSN is confirmed and announced, of course the physical edition will be announced sooner than later, just hope the cover art + content is the same as the one Japan is getting.

Depending on how this scales with level and how you access it, this will be mine. My character is about a third of the way through NG++, I don't want to make a new character but also don't want to be over powered. And I hope you can access the DLC at any time, don't make me get to a certain part of the story.

Thanks.
I supose is matter of time and as soon it would be confirmed and available for preorder, I would make it.

From should put the door to the DLC right in the middle of Nightmare Mensis. You cannot be wearing any armor when entering the level and turn all the rock throwing dudes into those singing frenzy things. Allow for 3 people to invade at the same time. Would be a great trial by fire to be able to get to the door.

Would make From the top spot of the developer trolling leaderboards.

Chikage is the greatest katana in Souls series by far. There's no need for any other katanas.

2 million in 6 months is great.
3 million LTD should be viable after the expansion.

It will easily push to four, IMO. As one of the first major PS4 exclusives, it will have long, long legs on what should be a very long console generation.

It'd be cool to have an alternate katana to the Chikage. Something to how the Iaito was to the Uchigatana. Literally different strokes for different folks. I'd alternate between the two depending on the situation.

i use Chikage for my bloodtinge build and its AMAZING but if your not speced for it its pretty much useless, i could see the adding a skill based katana

It's possible they might introduce at least a couple more weapons at the beginning, to encourage replayability. I'm guessing the pizza cutter is a str weapon, so I might begin a new playthrough, as my current str character is on NG+++. I also hope they give us another Blood Rock.

Since some have wondered if Sony are happy with the sales

Really? For Bloodborne? I don't think there's any wiki as complete as fextralife for this specific game.
Everything is better than baseless speculations and blatantly false infos.
The wikidot one has weapons stats, locations, NPC infos etc. without any kind of bullshit.

It's true that some times people let their speculation get the better of them, especially early in the game's life, but now it's pretty good, I'd say. Even if it wasn't, I'll take bullshit over not even having dialogue for key NPCs.

I really like wikidot for the Dark Souls games, it's the only one I even bother consulting, but for Bloodborne, their pages are pretty bad.

iirc Dark Souls sold 2.8-3 Mio on 3 Plattforms (after 18 months)

Impressive sales and maybe Bloodborne will have a bigger priority than the souls games, if these numbers go on (in the future)

The Inside Track
I'm encoding a video of the DLC from the TGS showfloor now. It shows a boss with someone who almost knows how to play (he still dies though)

Is the physical version with the base game + the DLC coming to North America?

I'm purchasing a PS4 in a couple months and this is probably the first game I'm going to buy.

Yeah, I really want to know this as well.

I want to buy the physical version of Bloodborne + The Old Hunters. That box art cannot go to waste.
